I am considering buying an F150 because the back seat folds UP and creates a huge floor space. This makes me consider a Tacoma again, it'll be cheaper. Can't believe what trucks cost now.

I did this with my '18 Sport. Mine is black with the chrome lettering on the side and of course, no inserts were on the tailgate. I purchased some chrome inserts from Amazon, and they were pretty straightforward to put on, just like you showed. They looked GREAT - until spring came around and they were all pitted and the salt from the road totally corroded them. They are only chrome plated, obviously, and pretty cheap. I will have to remove them and replace them, but I'm worried about how tough it would be to remove them with the 3M adhesive tape holding them to the truck. My truck is completely backed out with black rims and interior, so any color other than chrome wouldn't look right at all. Nice video man, and nice truck. I just wanted to put this out there to let others who are considering the chrome ones to beware because they won't look good if you're in a colder climate after one winter.

I see someone commented about the bolt grade issue already, I'll add that I would only use the washers to determine a height. Once I established that, I would use a piece of square bar steel or aluminum to make the riser. Either would be available at a metal supplier as a a remnant. Cut it to length if you have a band saw, or have the metal supply cut it to length. You can drill it with a drill press or a hand drill in a pinch. Best practice would be a tight fit on the hole and a piece of square bar stock that fully supports the base of the seat mount. I would add a bit of lock-tite. I wouldn't use the washers as a permanent solution because they don't support the seat base properly and are going to change how the bolt is being loaded in an accident. It's already a single-shear load, but positioning the seat base farhter off the anchor surface is going to multiply the shear force at the base and the washer setup will certainly allow more movement. A more ridged riser and a step up in bolt grade would be safer.
