This is called Amazon fiction. They completely butchered the elves. But at least they have fulfilled the DEI requirement of a main character strong woman, while Elrond is a soy boy. This show isn't The Lord of the Rings. It just aims to put more DEI in LotR universe.

God, that scene where two people on horses stretch the chain out between them and clothesline a group of like 20 orcs made me say "Oh come on" out loud. That would work with a couple people, but when you have a group of 20 something orcs in armor in a group vs two people on horses, it's so simple and obvious that weight doesn't work that way. They should have been pulled off the horses.

I don't know if the writers of the show made up everything in the show up because they genuinely thought it was good or if they were fucking around with Tolkien's story on purpose and simply didn't care because they were sure they would make a shitton of money regardless of what they wrote. Celebrimbor is the greatest smith of the second age, the grandson of the single greatest elven smith to have ever lived, Feanor, who created something even the smith of the VALAR couldn't. Amazon turned him into a joke. Also, it's not THAT important, but it's still annoying to have a Celebrimbor who looks old enough to be Galadriel's grandfather when they're meant to be close in age (Galadriel is probably a few years older depending on what you consider to be canon) On top of all this, it took, ya know, a really long time to make the three rings, and they were made after the nine and the seven. Which brings me to my biggest question . . . Why on earth in everything taking place so early in the second age. Why have they added Numenor's story? The second age spanned over 3400 years. Numenorians don't live for thousands of years. Isildur and Elendil have a lifespan of only a few hundred years. They CANNOT make the second age under 2000 years long and they can't make the Numenorian main characters live that long. I personally believe that the writers simply didn't give a fuck.

Quick Answer: NO It's not a joke. It's a movie adaptation of a series of books that amazon still has no rights. They can ONLY state things that are written in "The Appendices", "The Fellowship of the Ring", "The Two Towers", "The Return of the King", and "The Hobbit". So if you people don't know what that means, then don't bother watching the series.

this video is way longer than it needed to be. i think we saw what you were saying within a few seconds. one rings is shit, and the cast is also bad. the actors are mediocre and horribly cast. they dont look like elves at all. they arent even attractive humans. the characters got slaughtered etc.

The problem with this ROP scene is that it looks like every other generic fantasy movie fight while I vividly remember every last detail of this LOTR fight. ROP looks like the land is always cloudy and dull. While LOTR world color is finely adjusted to context and location.
