Got an email today stating had til Oct 2 before they would bump me down to the ad tier, will be canceling all together at the end of this month since I already paid for it (I don't watch it daily and only for certain series, so it's not worth it for me in the end to actually keep it)
Great. Now the others will follow.

Sansugue Prus 75 polegadas ❤
That’s why custom launchers are so popular, and Amazon does everything to block them😉
Are Amazon’s new screensaver ads driving you crazy?
I noticed this on my new fire tv and fixed the settings right away after setting it up.
So this auto renewed yesterday. Am I screwed?
Oh my, the beautiful screensaver photos were my favorite thing about my firestick. Now it’s even less likely I would ever buy another.
I may have misunderstood. Sorry! 😌
Unfortunately i get a lot of buffering and it's frustrating. I have Internet so i don't know what the problem is. Is it maybe not enough Internet speed?
I cancelled Netflix last year when the quality of the movies they were showing went down. Also putting restrictions on customers like the ads you are discussing. So for me? There are other choices out there.
Who this is for is someone who is used to linear TV and needs a streaming box that “just works” Spectrum sends you these things and you don’t even have to log into your spectrum account it detects based off your network your level of live streaming access. It also defaults to opening the spectrum app live tv when turning it on. Also no app store and all the main streaming apps are preloaded. Good for someone a little older who hasn’t wrapped their head around going to an app store, looking for what they want, downloading etc. Second nature to you and me but we’re on KZread watching peer video reviews on streaming boxes. If you’re getting charged a monthly fee for simply a xumo box though I would argue it’s not worth it if you have something that has access to the spectrum (or whatever cable companies)live tv app. Certain don’t buy this thing independently without the cable company as it’s not a great deal compared to basically any other streaming device.
Is there a way to get rid of the ads that pop up on the upper right hand corner when you pause Pluto TV? I already prefer Freevee to PTV, but these ads make PTV almost unwatchable.
Great informative video. Thx
Nate Bagatze- his 2 specials are the only thing I watch on Netflix in the past few years- I cancelled.
NBC for free w an antenna- saw the live opening cer and the repeat if I had missed it later during prime time- its plenty- I dont think Id want more.
Yep- live TV when most of it is annoying ads- its hard to break the habit of just staring at crumy tv hoping fo something entertaining which usually doesnt happen. And the ads are so insulting, stupid, gross- Im just not going to watch it. So I have an antenna- watch some Olympics, some local and evening network news- But just regular You Tube can be fun and you can learn a lot- I mute the ads which is doable. and I read a lot more for entertainment- I havent found a streaming service thats good and a good value- Getting read to even cancel Netflix because 95% of the selection is so bad. I guess wer are all just weaning off TV
Sling has a free version (fasttv)
I had KZread TV for over 18 months and think it's great. I just paused it and signed up for Hulu Live TV, Disney+, and ESPN+ because my granddaughter is coming over and likes Bluey and Moana on Disney+. I noticed Hulu Live TV buffers quite often. I don't like that I can't reorder the channel guide on Hulu like I can with YTTV. I like that Hulu carries the SNY network because I am a NY Mets fan. Also, I live in NJ and Hulu is also charging NJ state sales tax, which brings the total up to $82.09 per month, which is $9 more than YTTV, which never charged me NJ state sales tax. For that reason I will be going back to YTTV after one month of Hulu.
Hulu plans start at $7.99/month
Great review! I’ve been using SlingTV via a promo and thinking about Hulu Live as an option.
I had Frndly for a week then cancelled it. Its a horrible clunky-slow app and doesn't have all episodes... skips from E4:2 to E4:8, then E6:2... crazy!
How do you rewind on the app
Are you going to CANCEL the donors for djt? Hypocrites
So basically other than an antenna , you can't watch metv. You literally added nothing
Try watching the video as that's not at all what we said.
Thank you both! Appreciate the beard too
I live in Mantua Ohio I usually get chanels 3,5,8,19 I did channel scan only offered digital analog and chanels didn t offer air I have a tenant antenna from best nuy
I’ve been canceled like 4 years ago I just canceled prime video yesterday
Hi John the Netflix Premium has more value then it's given credit for it's maybe way too pricey however even though many shows aren't in 4k per as they are offered in Dolby Atmos and HDR so the video quality is amazing and the spatial audio really adds to to if you do premium then drop to Full HD you will not be happy with the quality
That's a fair point. It's a bit expensive for our tastes, but if you want that 4k quality, when available, and the other features, it may be worth it.
I can't afford it either just making that point the value is there for those who have the means for top shelf
I have Netflix and love it.
I canceled Netflix!
I canceled my subscription, I only watched it once month if that . I found content was not that great anymore
This is just a back door way of raising their prices. Instead of being honest and up front, and saying that they’re raising their prices, they instead get rid of a popular plan. Then they make you subscribe to a more costlier plan instead, if you want to continue subscribing to Netflix. DIRTY POOL!!! They think by doing it this way, less people will drop Netflix. But the opposite will be true, for people don’t like being deceived and manipulated. I for one am glad that I don’t, and never have, subscribe to Netflix. And with business practices like this, I never will!!!
You're not wrong. We watch a fair bit of Netflix, but don't like the ads plan. If it weren't for that, we'd be gone.
I don't want to pay be marketed to.
Welcome to the plan. I'd cancel my Standard plan before I'd go with ads. I have not seen an ad in my content since I canceled directv back in 2010. By then I was already on NF with dvds and streaming. As you know, not only no ads, but no on-screen crap. I just recently had my new 75" tv installed on my living room wall, so I will be setting up the Onn Pro 4K so I can see my NF stuff, along with amazon prime (not sure yet if I will be paying the monthly $3 extortion for the no-ads) and my Paramount+ Essentials. I am hoping that watching the last channel via the Onn will still be ad-free but if not, then I will continue to watch its stuff via my Chrome browser with the you-know-what blockers. Of course once "G" knee-caps them, if I am stuck with the ads, then I might as well watch them on the 75" instead of the 32" computer screen. At least though the P+ is free courtesy of the Walmart+ free promo.
Yea, we're not going with the ads plan. The key for us is that the ads plan doesn't include all content, so it's a no brainer for us.
I have come to the conclusion that I hate Netflix. I hate the fact that on their ad supported plan all of their content is not available. That is bullshit. Because some of that content includes Netflix created content. And they say it’s because of licensing agreements. How can they have licensing issues with their own content? I would be willing to pay a dollar or two more a month and get 100% of their content on the ads supported plan. Second, they never offer any deals like Max and Hulu do. And the reason for that is probably they are not a big corporation like Disney or time warner. And they can’t afford to give any kind of a discount or special rate. I am perfectly happy with getting Hulu and/or Max when they have special prices.
You're not wrong and that's the main reason why we'll never choose the ad-supported plan with them. We would understand licensing issues if it were only for content they didn't create. However, as you know, that's just not the case.
The only service I still have is amazon prime and that has more to do with the prime shipping. I cancelled max, Netflix, hulu. i basically just watch amazon prime and all the "free" services like Pluto, freevee, roku, plex, tubi and even KZread has free movies now with ads.
The adds are light on Netflix. We don't mind ads.
That they are. Unfortunately, the ad-supported plan doesn't include all of their content. That's a deal-breaker for us.
I love netflix so nope not cancelling my netflix i use it a lot. I was already on standard anyway. I don't subscribe to cable tv or satellite.
