    Have a question about 901 i normally wear 41 in nike sneakers measured my feet at Decathlon to be 25.5 cm i bought 40 in sidi cycling shoes as it is recommended in their website after first ride i felt pain in my foot and when i take the insole out my toe was over the end of the insole by 5mm now i have a second hand 42 rc901 which is at a great price shimano says 42 is for 26.5-26.8 cm do you think it would be too big and if it is can i close that gap by any methods (thick socks second layer of insoles)

    Great video, thanks, currently on Lake's but tempting to switch. I have a width of around 110mm (left) and 105mm (right) with a length of around 260mm - 265mm (left) and 250mm - 255mm (right) - odd sized I know ;). The Sidi size chart I found states I should go for a EU 42,5 size for 26,4cm length. Based on your video, and assuming your max foot length is 270mm, the chart I'm looking at states you need a EU 43,5 size for 27 cm length. Are you saying you took 2 sizes bigger, i.e. EU 45,5 (which is linked with a 28,4 cm foot length)? Thank you for answering, this will greatly help in my search getting the best fit!

    Age old debate. Weight or rotating resistance. iirc Orange seal recommends 1-2oz of sealant. Weight weenies use 1oz. 280 g for tire + 35g for 1 oz sealant = 315 vs 280g for regular tire with TPU. Seems negligible either way. Can 35 grams be felt spinning up?

  • @addictcyclist
    @addictcyclistАй бұрын

    On my Ostro running a 250g gp5 clincher + 25g TPU. 275g total. Gp5 st r 280g + 35 for 1 oz, 70 for 2oz. I run 2 oz. I can feel that. Not at speed, but at initial acceleration. Feels muted and less responsive. All personal preference.

    The Corsa Pro are great racing tyres but aren’t very robust for training……they are easily punctured and wear quickly, good luck. Not sure why you find TPU more responsive, the science begs to differ……

  • @addictcyclist
    @addictcyclistАй бұрын

    Tpu is lighter and less rotating weight. 25g tube vs 80 2oz sealant per tire. Unsprung weight matters when looking to spin up and feel punchy. Tubeless may be less rolling resistance per the science. Science also proves less rotating weight at outer most part of the circumference is faster to spin up.

    After reading many comments I believe different things attribute to it. I had about 5-10 wobbles always around 50 or more km/h and sidewinds in the last months on my new Canyon Aeroad SLX. I swapped the rims from 62 to Shimano C50 but that seemed to have been an unhelpful decision. Just yesterday at a grand fondo I had to brake and my friend crashed into me. Resulting in broken bones, a lot of pain and many months to come to recover. This years summer riding is over. It’s very sad. And every time I get more afraid to ride. In my opinion the manufacturers are not taking this issue serious enough.
