  Seven years late, but here I put *the things that this cable allows to do* In case anyone is considering buying it: *1. Charge the battery of the "Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit"* when it is put in the controller, which is its main function. Important, *this cable cannot charge any other kind of battery than the "Play & Charge Kit."* *2. Being able to use an Xbox 360 wireless controller without batteries,* since it transmits power through the cable. *This is very useful in the case of those Xbox 360 controllers that have the problem of turning off even if the batteries are good.* 👍🏻 *3. Being able to pair an 360 controller with the Xbox 360 console where you connect the cable;* a useful alternative if you can't use the pairing buttons on your controller and console to do so, whether one of them is damaged or for another reason. 👍🏻 *Things this cable does NOT allow you to do:* - Connect your Xbox 360 wireless controller to a PC: unlike Xbox One/Series controllers that do send information over the cable if you connect them that way, and that's why you can connect them to PC using a USB cable, *YOU CAN'T do the same with 360 wireless controllers,* since *they still send buttons information wirelessly* even if they are connected with that cable, so you'll need the *Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Reciever* to connect it to your PC. On the other hand, *the Xbox 360 wired controller* (less common to find) *can be connected directly to the PC through its built-in cable.* P.S. You should edit your video title to put a question mark on it so people don't get confused thinking your video is a tutorial instead of a question.

  with ur second point, if i ONLY bought the charger and wireless receiver, (assuming the "without batteries" u mentioned in point 2 are A batteries), can i still play with AA batteries coz power is still transmitting through the cable or do i need to buy the chargable batteries to play?

  you need a wireless receiver in order for the controller to work, at this point i would recommend you to just buy a wired controller instaid.

  The Play & Charge kit doesn't send data from the controller to the PC, it only does power. You will either need an actual wired Xbox 360 controller or get a wireless receiver that is compatible with the wireless Xbox 360 controller.

  rbh thjeres no reason for this shit to not work as a wired controller, on the xbox 360 this adapter does actually send the signals via usb, if you have a 360 with a broken wireless module you can use the wireless controllers connected this way, so its just a matter of software
