In the French version of this song there is a clue that could reveal the identity of the person to whom it is addressed. It could be Roy Taylor, the bassist of the group which represented Ireland during the Eurovision Song Contest in 1988, Lara having finished 4th, and with whom she would have had a relationship. Funny thing, she wrote this song in 1994 ( or, probably, years before) and her boyfriend at the time, Rick Allison, composed the music. For those who don't understand French and would like to verify this theory, I have subtitled the French version... if you know where to find it😉.

The first time I heard this song, the radio was kind of low and the song was about to go off, but I heard this powerful "sanging" and wondered, who is singing like this on the country station. Soon I found out that it was Carrie Underwood. This is her most powerful song. I see that singing it live takes a lot out of her.

But I do appreciate a lot the fact that Lara speaks and sings in so many different languages and make a lot of people worldwide understand, follow and like her... The singer is a bard that travels with the Witcher and solicits money from the villagers who want him to slay the monsters. It was a book series first, then the games, and then the Netflix series. The other songs from the Witcher that he does are really fire. Burn Butcher Burn (referring to the Witcher) and Priscilla's Song (metal cover) plus The Song of The White Wolf, these are fantastic. But i also enjoy the rocking feel to the song with the great guitar work. Another artist that i think brings great passion is Mark Anthony. He sings mostly salsa but he has done a few Pop records in English. I suggest the song called My Baby You when you get a chance.
