now just had an idea of a what if scenario of having mithrix escape his prison as a survivor and going out to kill his brother. making it take place before Contact light took him. "So He wandered, Too hurt to morn or hate" "So he won, Hating every second of it" "So he won, With nothing by his side" Maybe even having the contact light come if you loop twice reaching Providence after his death and challenging the Brother killers. "So he left, Too distraught to look back" "So he left, With nothing to rule" "So he left, He's soul speaking for the first time in centuries"

I dont know if its in this, but i thibk it would be cool if mithrix has a rage mechanic as a player where dropping below half health puts you in phase 2, and getting shaped glass or artifact of glass permanently puts you in that state

IDK how to tell you this but this is literally just playing as the boss, its not a recreation or anything its literally just allowing the player to control the character. All enemies and bosses in risk of rain 2 utilize a universal moveset format so Mithrix, the boss, is designed the same as a playable survivor.

Did you use a mod to change the Moon stage? Cause at the end where youre going to the ship looks so diffrent and the ship is nearly at the same hight as the Mithrix arena.

Imagine this as a mod, except with a special boss item exclusive to him (like Mithrix) hat basically acts as swapping between his projectiles and his regular primary fire. Let's say it's a chance to swap everytime other abilities are used, and after depleting the projectile magazine you get your regular primary back. It also functions as a revive. However, whenever you revive, the boss item is replaced with a lunar item that basically replaces his primary with his phase 3 hammer attack (which is the overhead swing with shockwave + DoT pillar), and he still has the projectile swap mechanic, but now void enemies will spawn more frequently, and lunar enemies are also able to spawn outside the moon. Also, this isn't a revive item anymore. If other survivors pick it up (from a Vengeance Mithrix drop or from some other weird way), instead of replacing the primary it could probably just be the pillar effect spawning with any high damaging moves (with a similar 10s CD compared to the other bands). The other survivors also get the other effects of the projectile swap and the void/lunar enemy spawns if they pick it up, so using it is upto them. Either way its too niche of a item drop method to be really getting it in most runs. His revolving doors attack is probably too unreliable and vulnerable for anyone to be using it anyways, which is why I kinda just forgot about it lol. it probably would do a bunch of damage, but when you're standing still like that you're better off jumping to the stratosphere and hoping you land on an enemy. At least you wont be as much of a sitting duck.

What if this mod changed Mithrix being the final boss, to it being Providence, who was originally defeated in the first game? That would be EPIC ASF

Its so interesting that Mithrix is codded to have items show up on him as those spikes and that he has around six abilities, his hammer, dash, slam move and big hammer slam, but if sprinting he seems to gain a ranged attack and also during third phase he gains the ability to do the weird spinning line stuff

yep, hopoo games made RoR2 very well, and it shows. It's honestly amazing how good they are at it.

Apparently, all the mobs in the game are coded as players. That way the game doesn't have to reinitialise a new AI script for every spawned mob, they just have to spawn a new body and let the existing script puppet it.
