A born and bred petrolhead.
Hi, I'm JJ, and I'm a fan of cars. It really doesn't matter what kind of car, what it is powered by or how old it is. Sure, I like a supercar, but I can get as equally excited by a Mk1 Ford Focus. If not more so.
My current car - and the car that kicked off the channel, is a 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK 200. So you can expect extra content on that.
If you want to see your car on the channel, contact me on Instagram or email me at the "For business enquiries" email below :)
Instagram is a great place to find out what car is coming next! @jjoncars

Comprehensive review and informative, I own the f32 440i and it has an amazing engine plus I've got the m sport trim and mppsk so it sounds awesome, perfect blend of luxury and performance
I bought and sold a 2019 Subaru Ascent within 3 weeks just before I bought my 2016 Volvo XC70, Platinum trim.I 💗💗💗💗my Volvo. I didn't want a newer car as the technology just aggravates me as an older person. Comfortable, and a pleasure to drive as I work and drive long hours.
Just a slight oil leak from trans mission, where it seems previous ownerdamage sump pan bolt.
Got the same w209 ,lovely car to drive ,handles very well. Just coming up to 75000mls
I came here for the Toyota Auris review. I left with an incredible urge to eat a Mcvities gold bar. 10/10 have subscribed.
That’s exactly like my car. Colour and seats
N52 is legendary of the beleaguered N-series engines. it's pretty much fine for any occasion without the N54 headaches despite the massive tuning potential
I owned a 2.3 V5 Highline (1st gen with 150bhp) 12 years ago.. It's not a very quick car but a very nice car too tour around in which sounds amazing when running the 5 cylinder engine (see my page) I loved the extra space in the back and I always liked it more then the gold and also to own a car that is not owned by a lot of other people. It was defo a head turner (I had some nice Audi rims and some body parts added to it not to much F&F style haha. They are getting very rare and can't find anything close in my country to what I owned. which is to bad as I kinda like to own one again.
I had my 2003 ‘back-to-bare-metal’ resprayed in 2021, and they found absolutely no rust at all. Having said that, I do live in Australia, so no snow, and therefore no road salt.
My 2003 NBFL is “my” perfect car. I traded in my NA in 2003, and have never wanted to change. It’s 21 years old, and still my perfect car.
The best thing about these honda accord is that they hold their value after 2 years of owning it, they can be sold for the same price you brought ii or more.
Good vid, considering swapping my mk4 polo for a bora. love the shape, they are hard to find in the config I want.
my A5 quattro turbo from 2012 is still my favorite daily driver.
With regards to the steering does it have electric power steering or hydraulic?
I love my nissan joke
On 221000 miles 1:5 petrol auto 35/43mpg on motorway runs excellent no issues at all drop links front every 50000 miles due to humps in car parks roads etc apart from that aall good run on shell/BP excellent mpg too highly recommend.
The pillarless design is definitely very nice for when you have to roll down your windows after the AC fails. (Happily the only fault with my CLK so far at 130k miles in)
Haha yep. That's not bad if it's the only problem at 130k :)
Frameless doors are ok until winter time and they won't drop, my clk was a pain for that.
Yes it's true, I have this problem every year. Looks so good though 😄
Super
Mine is a 2018 model, and it has the keyless entry and start. Didn't know there was a non keyless entry version. I also have the partial digital display, and i love the look of it. The best part is the interior tho. It's all black. When i saw it, my eyes started giggling 😅 Other than changing the rims for better looking ones, i didn't touch it. Love the 2.0l diesel on my Opel...
Looking at these as an alternative to my old trusty Mitsubishi Shogun. Love the Shogun but with the ridiculous fuel prices now I think it will have to go. Hopefully these are a bit easier on diesel.
I sold mine and wish I hadn't. Never has a car felt so 'right'. I want another one.
Well, there are still plenty around.... :)
@@JJonCars I'm sure I will find the right one, sometime soon. 🙏
Got a 2005 325i in November, is bad in many ways, paint, seats, leaks everywhere, but took a gamble because of these two wordsn MANUAL GEARBOX. It was only one of three for sale in Australia at the time. The rest are just 320i models that obviously don’t have the sonorous I6 sound.
Very nice! I6 with a manual, perfection.
Full of shit! There’s another insignia coming, iirs called buick lacrosse in usa and it is coming to uk market.. do your research before chatin shit.
In 2020 i bought my first mk4 1.6 from 2001. It cost 500e and it barely had anything to fix. I drove it for 2y and then switched to mk5 because i needed a 5 door car. Needless to say i miss mk4. So i decided to buy mk4 1.8t from 2002 in a very good state and now my mechanics are working on rebuilding the engine so that the car would be as new. Got some silver anniversary console trim with handles, new shift and some gadgets. I cant wait until its ready to drive! ❤ its my favourite car!
Brilliant! It's always nice to go back to a car you love. And you've upgraded to the 1.8T :)
Nice video, I agree on your positive view of this model. I recently bought a 2012 Titanium with the 1.6 ecoboost (182PS) engine. Makes the car really come alive. Absolutely love it!
Thank you. You've got the best model I think :)
I live in the top of the North Island in NZ, bought one of these about a year ago from the South Island. Had a great road trip with my son bringing it back. I'm nearly 75, so it has enough power for me. It eats miles in comfort, a lovely car! Currently I'm dealing with the ESL failure that is almost guaranteed at this age by Mercedes. I'm thinking that I'm a bit old to be upside down under a dashboard! In spite of that, I think they are great value for money cars!😵
Hi. S type is a nice car .and I would like to get one. But I have a x type executive 2.5 awd 2002 , and it is a excellent car. Thank you for your information .
Hello! That's great, I love the X-Type. My dad had the 2.1 V6 for a few years and it was a lovely car. Thanks for watching :)
Golf 7 is the next Golf 4. It is already an icon and a classic in the making. Legendary car.
Definitely!
There are very few videos of this car, but this one is by far the best!
Thank you!
Saab Scania ❤️
Had no problems with my Octavia 2019 reg. manual. Only complains a little offset driver sitting position and noises levels. Also, if to be picky little rattles noises - which disappear if you go faster ;) Build quality was a bit better in A5 Vs A7 Octavia model. And do not buy second hand DSG automatic if car is over 100k mile (ticking bomb with expensive repairs).
Of all the decades, I think the 2000s has the most premium-looking cars.
The visibility got worse in the late 2000s because of higher safety standard.
Yeah it's true 👍
The 9-3x is one of the only Saabs I have not owned. Now I want to buy one.
Haha you have to complete the collection!
Broken coil springs should be suspected in almost any used MB .Motor mounts myseriouly remain a cronic issue. These are cars with 110,000 miles or less. I'm looking ata a low mileage CLK 320 Wednesday..76,000 miles.$3500.
Did you like the car? Gonna buy it? :)
this is such a great looking car, may very well try get one for my next car but it not having an electric handbrake is very off putting especially on a 2015 + Merc
Yes, it seems out of place and old fashioned doesn't it! But as it's automatic, you barely need to use it so I wouldn't let it put you off.
@@JJonCars ya thats true and once you get used to it after a while it would be fine
The one car I wouldn't sell.
I have two B5.5 wagons at the moment. One at 276K and one @ 295k in kilometers.
Brilliant!
Great review ive recently purchased a 2016 sri 1.4 . From having previously had a 1.9 mitsubishi lancer gs2 to a mitsubishi lancer turbo gs3 both cars i loved , insurance reasons i couldn't afford this year went up triple...so part ex for the sri 2months in, love the car smaller than i thought it would be on look roomy enough inside and boot love the boot space...fuel great handles well seats are nice and stiff not sure if in the same realm as yours but having had spinal surgery a few years ago i love my seats as b4 i had to stiffen them up ....I can drive a few hours now b4 i need a stretch break b4 that 40 mins i was in agony...
Nice one. I like those older Lancers, you just don't see them around. I had the previous version from 2005 and it was a really solid reliable car. If a little bland (although it did kind of look like an Evo if you squinted). Glad you like the Astra, they're nice cars for the money 👍
Only 36 SAAB XWD 2.0t are recorded on How Many Left?
Its the 9-3 X that we're looking for on there. There are three types list of the petrol variety with 76, 36 and 33 left of each. The XWD version is the standard lower saloon I believe
I've got a Jazz 1.4EX built in Swindon England in 2010.. i bought it new.. I've still got it. It's brilliant.. it's quite fast on acceleration if you use the best petrol E5 SuperUnleaded.. it has the 15 inch alloys with semi low profile tyres which makes it handle really well. The magic seats make it like a Tardis, bigger inside than outside.. The new ones are hybrids which i don't want because they are really expensive, twice as much to go wrong and you have a battery which will be uneconomical to replace whereas my petrol only version will go on for years and years .
Great cars! I need to review the second generation Jazz.
@@JJonCars you can review mine but it needs a clean.. 😹
@@ron2256 Haha! I'll take a look at it tomorrow :)
@@JJonCars 👍.
I've got the three i want, none of them worth much.. But dream three would be to magically put them in perfect condition 😂😂 Daily Driver Honda Jazz 1.4EX built in Swindon England in 2010.. Campervan 25 years old Volkswagen T4 2.5TDI ACV and classic car, 1986 Bentley Turbo R
A great selection of cars Ron - covers most bases. The Jazz is a really great car for what it is. And the Bentley, well, I'm looking forward to seeing it!
@@JJonCars The VW T4 is brilliant as well even at 25 years old
Oddly enough I have one as well but they are rare in New Zealand, especially one as immaculate as my rose gold 1992 190 E 2.3 fuel injected. Have a mk 2 Audi TT and a new Kia Niro hybrid and this old Mercedes always wins the battle for most comfortable and quiet car of the three. Quite ridiculous that such an old car can usurp these modern vehicles. Granted it has only 156000 km. It's truely a remarkable piece of engineering.
They don't build 'em like they used to. I like your collection of cars though - something for every occasion :)
I have to say that I consider the 1.5 diesel engine in the juke to be quite bulletproof as long as you keep up to oil changes and timing belt kit every .80 thousand miles I reckon one of these engines could run 250 thousand miles! IDE say that was a top engine!
To be fair, I know the owner of this car, and thus far it's been 100% reliable :)
It may seem trivial but one of my favorite things was the automatic rain sensing wipers. What i disliked, two things. First was the placement of the battery in the trunk. Water would get in and cause the alarm to randomly go off while i was sleeping. Second was the cd changer in the trunk that i gave up on and replaced with an aftermarket changer. I really liked mine but even with studded snow tires it just wasn't feasible to drive during our winters here in colorado. Otherwise a winner on all counts, beautiful styling, reliable, comfortable quiet interior, ride and power delivery. FYI the biggest change in styling after 2003 was the introduction of the wire mesh front grill.
Auto rain sensing wipers are great - when they work 😄 Sometimes can be too sensitive, or not sensitive enough. Cheers :)
Nice for you to review a car that mortals actually drive. Look up AR Crosswagon if you wanna do bargain offroads.
I enjoy driving and reviewing cars for mortals :) I'm not sure what an AR Crosswagon is tbh, we didn't get them in the UK as far as I know!
CLK or w204 220CDI coupe ..... Are You're choice ?
CLK for me, as that's what I own :) I like the shape and style of it and the pillarless side windows :)
I just watched your Nissan Juke review and now I really want to see your thoughts on the Nissan Xterra! I absolutely loved my xterra and im thinking about getting another one but if y'all thought the juke looked strange well.....
Well, we never got the Xterra over here in the UK so I won't be able get my hands on one to drive. Tis an odd looking car isn't it, but looks quite cool and rugged actually
@@JJonCars Oh I didn't know that! I was quite upset when they stopped making them here in the states, I love them to pieces. The inclusion of a health kit in the back door causing a divot was really fun. just a neat car all around and yes very sturdy. mine survived a flood that went fully over the hood and kept driving for 2 years. hardy lil critters 🥰
I’m between this one and a c220 w204, both 2015. In your opinion which one should I get? I’m going to travel like 1000km x week.
Hmm. Tricky one. I think they'd both be good cars for long distance travelling. Perhaps pick the one that feels most right for you, the design and style etc.
@@JJonCars thanks JJ, I’m going for the Mercedes here in Chile they are a good value keepers, otherwise I think both are splendid quality cars. Thanks for making the videos!!!
@@victorcalderon4195 You won't be disappointed. The Mercedes is a more special feeling car for sure. Thanks for watching them! :)
