Watching this video literally makes me replay the actual anxiety this bridge gives me.

This is the worst bridge I've ever driven across. I hate this bridge. 100% needs to be replaced. Fuck this horrid bridge

You should edit an endless loop so that appears to take a couple of hours to cross.

We would go to Paducah for gas and I remember one day when I was 17 my grandpa wanted me to fill up his jeep. It had wide tires and snaked a little on the road anyway. I crossed this bridge as a pretty new driver and that jeep slung me everywhere it felt like lol. It’s not that bad when you go over it all the time, albeit driving and riding is a different animal.

That's a hard NO for me. Bridges in general terrify me but this one just might kill me before I even got on it.

I live in Paducah and I’ve only ever driven across that bridge once. To make it worse, a semi decided to drive opposite me and I swear it was within an inch of swiping my car. Never again.

That's crazy that there's a video about the Brookeport bridge. I grew up near Paducah and remember crossing that bridge with my mom, it was the most stressful few minutes of my childhood, was always a very sketchy ride.

Yeah I'd say an update is overdue. Beshear and Pritzker need a pay cut till they do something about that bridge.

Those steel decks were common on coastal New England drawbridges. After the 1927 flood, many of these narrow steel truss bridges were built along the Connecticut River between VT and NH. There is still one in my hometown, but it now has a paved concrete deck.

I used to love crossing that bridge, I remember that sound well, looking out the window to the river below the see thru road. My sister hated that bridge... There used to be a great fish place in Brookport, idk if it's still there. Literally been 37- 40 years since I crossed it.

Try driving across the Newell bridge, between East Liverpool Ohio, and Newell West Virginia. Max weight limit 10 ton.. Built way over a hundred years ago. And they say it is safe. I don't know about that. Oh did I mention it costs a dollar $1.00 to cross it.

"A delicate balancing act"? Maybe you shouldn't even be driving. Most people with a regular driver's license experience "delicate balancing acts" backing out of their driveways onto the road. They delicately dial numbers on their cell phones, when they should be focused driving.

It's honestly not bad in a car, but it's a totally different story going over it on a motorcycle. Your tires fall into the grooves of the steel, and really make it difficult to balance and hold a straight line. Not to mention the fact that you have a lot better view of what is under you since you can see through it 😵‍💫

Some theories about the bridge: people think that Indians made it. 2. Some people theories that for a small section of it go uphill on its own.C. Some one theory that the bridge needs constant maintenance.
