it all depend on the motor, wheel size and battery voltage. In this case, the standard wind all axle motor plus a 48V battery with 20 inches wheel gave a max speed around 43 km/h ( 26 mph ).

I have the Revolution e-quad RS now , two years this month. I would like to convert to a 4 wheel motor system, no chain drives. The solid axle ruins tires and is very difficult to steer in tight quarters. I am handicapped and converted the bike to no pedals( notawheelchair version) because of lower back problems. Reliability is a major issue for me, because breakdowns are a real recovery problem. I would like to pursue this project. I have a lot invested in this bike and feel this upgrade will leave only tires to worry about. Can this system give me a reverse button as i have now. Thank you, George

  • @adams333

Hi George, This quad have the "UT custom posi-differential axle", it seems to help with the rear tire wear. Without the front mudguard, the turning radius is impressive. Here are the components required to make the conversion from this video: 1 x All axle Equad RS adaptor kit from kmxsuspension.com 3 x All-axle hub motors, bought from Grintech. 3 x V5 Baserunner_L10 controller, bought from Grintech. 1 x Cycle Analyst (CA3-WP), bought from Grintech. 2 x Y Cable, CA3-WP Dual Controller splitter, bought from Grintech. 3 x Cusmade Signal D 1109 Connector cable ( those need to be modified, paralleled then plugged to the reverse button, (short grey and black)), bought from Grintech. Hopefully Grintech will make a plug and play reverse button soon. Please note that this is an expensive conversion build.

Thanks for the kind words! So far, consumption is ~11Wh/km @ 32km/h average speed. The Solar shunt died after a few days, so I don't have much data right now. I will post more statistics once this is repaired. But so far, the maximum amount of energy I saw coming from the sun was 450W. On a cloudy day, it was around 120W. I tested steep incline hill with the trike, and 500W of assistance was not enough. Soon, a 2 button switch will be added to adjust the assistance level on the fly. I personally didn't experience much cross wind gust so far, so I ll report here later about that.
