    One of my favourite songs reinvented, Im blown away. I saw Fleetwood mac 1969 playing this, it has never left my soul and you just brought it back to life. Thank you. ps you do have similar qualities to Jack Broadbent (Hip flask slide.) Geez Noriko you are GOAT.

    a scan at such a high resolution (2400 bit), then using the clone stamp with a soft brush blurs your touch-ups. The blurry areas will be apparent when you're done. I usually find that I have to add digital 'dirt' to the areas, and lightly soften them to get the repaired areas to match the surrounding areas (as far as 'texture').

    Just a bit trivia, the burn icon is a hand making an "O". When burning in the darkroom, hands were often used to dodge and burn. The formation of the hand into an "O" let in light through the negative burning the image onto photo paper.

    The guitar is an instrument originated in persia and not in the west , and noriko why don't you tell everyone in australia how the shamisen is made i am sure you're gonna make some new friends . The white skin of the shamisen is made of 6 months old kitten for the good ones and 6 months old puppies for the cheap ones, I believe that when you7re a show like this it would be nice to let the audience know that you are completely supporting animal cruelty . Just keeping you honest. And you people who support this band, you are also supporting this kzread.info/dash/bejne/da5suq6hZcbYdKQ.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZmiJyrR9itmTmM4.html Now before you call me a racist fuck, i have lived 25 years in japan, i love this country and this culture , i am married to a Japanese , but we are both veterinarians and we both fight for the japanese government to stop the use of cats and dogs to produce this instrument when it can be produced using synthetic skins , and sound just as well. Just keeping you hnest Noriko and george .

  • @axeman2ooo
    @axeman2ooo8 жыл бұрын

    +olfursson kyllian as the original poster of this video, as well as good friends of both George and Noriko, I would like to correct a few points you have made. Firstly, the guitar originated in Egypt, and was known as the Qitara. Secondly, the East/West album title is meant to represent the genres of music. Blues originating in North America during slavery, and Traditional Shamisen originating in Japan. Thus, West meets East. If you look closer at Noriko’s Shamisen, you will notice a uniformed white colour across its entire surface. Animal hides are traditionally used for Samisens, it is true, however you can now get synthetic skins for them. The easiest way to tell is, the traditional ones have a pink dot on either side of the instrument’s face, denoting the animal’s nipples. Synthetic ones do not have these. Noriko loves animals, and only uses synthetic skins on her Shamisen. Hope that clears things up for you…

  • @olafurssonkyllian8153
    @olafurssonkyllian81538 жыл бұрын

    ***** i can only wish it is true . Until i hear ot from Noriko herself or have a personal look at her shamisen myself you will allow me (and without disrespect) to keep my doubts , because this is not the first time i hear people claiming that their shamisen uses synthetic skin/ But thank you for the kind and polite answer Patrick. In the case Noriko's shamisen uses synthetic skin and since you know them please tell Noriko San and George to join us in promoting synthetic skin shamisen .

  • @axeman2ooo
    @axeman2ooo8 жыл бұрын

    You should jump onto Facebook, as George and Noriko have a page on there that they follow. I don't think they are on KZread. Here is the link for you. facebook.com/George-Kamikawa-Noriko-Tadano-287118421366123/ I have asked her the same question, and she has assured me it is synthetic, not only due to her love of animals, but also due to the high cost and difficulty with Australian Customs, which she believes would block it, anyway.

    This is wrong on many levels. Ever heard of non-destructive editing? All that work on just one layer!

  • @elsakristina2689
    @elsakristina26898 жыл бұрын

    That's why I always duplicate the layer with every change I make to the image.

  • @axeman2ooo
    @axeman2ooo8 жыл бұрын

    I will duplicate the layer if I am doing something new and untested, but otherwise, I simply keep the original image on its own layer, and edit a duplicate of it. Of course, I also keep a seperate TIFF version, should I ever want to return to it at another time... Edit the PSD and keep the untouched TIFF. However for these photos, I would never dream of returning to the original for any reason.

  • @axeman2ooo
    @axeman2ooo8 жыл бұрын

    Actually I have, however for what these photos are, I cannot imagine a reason I would ever want to return to the original damaged photo. Of course, everyone has their own methods. For these types of images, especially for my own family shots, I use this method for clients, I ask what they want to use them for. I almost always leave the original image on a separate layer to return to if I ever need to return...

    thank you George for playing! I believe we saw you on our way back from the Paul McCartney gig at Barclay's Stadium, so was the perfect end to a Beatles day in NYC! It was an extra special addition to our Honeymoon, and you played it well, considering the commotion of Times Square! I have shown this vid to friends and family here in Australia, and all love it. Hopefully when we return in the future, we can hear you play again? :)

    ***** Hi Patrick, thanks for your reply, it's been a year now and I'm just discovering this clip LOL. I did look on KZread but couldn't find it. It happened by accident. If you ever come back to NYC let me know. I perform Imagine on Saturdays at Mimi's (52nd & 2nd ave). It goes over very well. I am currently learning "Let It Be" so I can perform it at Mimi's soon. I will have my friends watch this clip. Thanks again! Cheers, George.
