    @@KBWanime It really focuses on Vash and his staunch passivism and the possibility for redemption. It tells a really great narrative without getting into the weeds (ha) of the plants. I kind of liked the mysteriousness of them, and it wasn't necessary to tell the story they were trying to tell. The manga on the other hand has the time to tell the full story of gunsmoke as a setting. Will be def be reading though

    I make it a rule to never have a clip of the show play for longer than 4 seconds exactly. I think you can get away with a little longer than that, but I stay below 4 to be safe. It's all really vague though and I have had a video taken down despite following these rules, so sometimes it just depends on the company.

    When exactly did Eren say, that he loves Mikasa? That's something I never understood, how people can twist his words. He only wanted her devotion, that doesn't mean that he actually loved her. When I read the final chapter it didnt come over to me like he loved her. It's comparable to people that are craving for others attention. This doesn't mean that they are automatically in love with them.

    I feel that it would have been worth it to mention that during the 90's anime production time Maximum was still yet to be published due to publication complications. They probably were hoping/expecting a season 2 and their "ending" would've been better compared with the earlier fight with Knives instead of the final fight.

    God, i would kill for a trigun remake that was just the same show, in the same style, but with a higher budget. So much of the jankiness of the second half in particular, from what I've read anyways, is a budget thing, which just makes me SO sad. Imagine what it would be if they'd had a little more money and a little more time... I feel like they are setting up too many variables and that there is no active "arc" to set all these character , baccano managed its 13 eps meticulously. What I love about the Shigeo-Reigen dynamic is basically that they are the antithesis to Rick and Morty dynamic. The latter has this sort of toxic-codependence with each other that they would never want to admit to one another; while Reigen despite his con-man tendencies, actually teaches Mob how to be a better person. Reigen takes advantage of Mob's powers, that much is certain, but he genuinely cares about the kid like his own friend or nephew. It's a good subversion of the parasitic trope in fiction and the fact that the show ends with Reigen admitting to Mob that he was a conman to which mob already knew is what makes this series so powerful to me. Reigen teaches Mob how to be a good person by being the idealized version of himself, in turn, Reigen seeks to be more like his idealized self and improves himself. He makes mistakes here and there but he's always there to pick himself and the others around him back up. That's why to me Reigen, despite his absurd con man persona, is actually a really admirable person - not perfect, but that makes him even more admirable

    i became a trigun fan fairly recently and read the manga before watching stampede or the 90s anime, theres just something about trimax that really cannot be topped by the animated adaptions. Theres so much more depth to the characters, their relationships to each other and the world they are forced to navigate through. After being majorly disappointed by how the 90s anime characterizes vash i couldn't really get through it, it felt like a slog compared to the manga. tristamp was better and i enjoyed the almost reincarnation of the characters and their stories but it really just left me wanting for a full fledged accurate trimax adaption. The best thing Trigun Stampede has done is get more people to read Trigun Maximum !

  • @KBWanime
    @KBWanimeАй бұрын

    Absolutely! I think the best way to experience Trigun is to watch the 90s anime first. Without any expectations, it's really good and has surprising depth. But it only shows a tiny part of what the manga is so they're hard to compare.

  • @XBloodyBaneX

    One annoying detail for me is Vash's gun in the manga and 90s anime is a .45, but in Stampede is a .22. To those that aren't much for guns, it may not seem like alot just looking at the numbers, but a .22 calibre round is one of the weakest calibre ever, probably the weakest common calibre, bar some extremely rare no longer produced rounds that are collector items. A .45, on the other hand, is one of the strongest common hand gun calibres, short of the .50 AE and .500 Magnum, or specialty and collector rounds. A .22 can kill, but won't do a lot of damage, and you have to hit spots like the brain, heart, or artery to kill. A .45 will leave a huge wound, and will kill unless professionally treated.

    After having read the manga all i can say is i dislike it more than i thought o would after many people have said it was better than the 90's anime i especially didnt like the drastic sci-fi approach although both suffer the same problem of introducing and kulling off the gun-hoes too quickly the only part of the manga i liked more than the anime was it just explain what vash and knives are although i enjoy the ending to the 90's anime a lot more only i didnt want a overly massive spectial of a fight, considering sometimes less is more, and that another thing i like about rhe anime more the show knives less i felt in the manga the more and more they showed knives the less and less i felt he was a threat or even cared that he was a villain, as for in the orginal he was made to be a looming threat and i also love that his reason for hating humans is because they abuse the resources they have and he fears they'll only relapse into that idea again, so he takes it upon himself to exterminate those people who ruin the great things they have, that what i got from the anime at least not once did i think steve was the reason. I also thought that legato in the manga at least him as a villain was cringy whenever he'd pop up especially in stampede i had to turn it off when he became very animated with his anger, i feel the 90's anime legato is the best and drastically differnt from stampedes version, i only say this because legato is also a looming threat, but he is he's more than that, he's smart and calculating, i also feel as though in the 90's anime the first time he meets vash he know he won, where as i dont feel the same way in the manga or stampede. An by win i mean he knows he'll be able to crush vash's emotion entirely, and he ultimately does in an extremely chilling way that is simple but perfect. More screen time doesn't equate to a better villain and i see a lot of people falling into this mentality with knives especially, but i feel it just ruins the feeling and idea of what he is entirely. the only thing i like more form the manga is Rem with her have a slightly bigger role but i also feel as though she works exactly the same in the anime. This is just my opinion though, as a writer I'd tell you the 90's anime is superior in writing

  • @KBWanime

    I agree somewhat except that I think Knives is terrible in the 90s anime. I didn't care about him at all and barely even remember what he does except for getting shot at the end. The manga is a very different story and there is a lot about the brevity of the anime that I appreciate over the manga. It's much more grounded and it's more western than sci-fi which I also prefer. I also like anime Legato more as a cool character, but he's probably a better character in the manga.

  • @theshortstack02
    @theshortstack02Ай бұрын

    @@KBWanime id highly disagree with legato only because I think he is a perfect villain in the anime but he is just another basic sympathetic villain with something tragic that happens to him, I just like the pure evil that legato is in the 90's anime compared to the fully animated and over the top legato is in stampede and the manga, I just feel manga legato compared to the 90's anime one specifically is a bad joke character, I also like wolfwood more in the anime more I feel they actually build his character better which is funny to say because they try to build him in the manga but I just feel like the ideas they have for his character are bad, and poorly executed, while I feel the anime does well to build his character through the filler episodes the same way cowboy bebop does with it's entire cast. Although again I feel as though legato is a much better character in the anime, also knives does a lot more than just get shot once, he gets shot three times, although I felt in the anime he was the perfect antithesis to Vash I also don't really like that knives in the manga becomes sympathetic to Vash, at least to me I feels completely rushed and forced in the moment it happens, also testical knives is bad

    @@KBWanime I apologize because I realized my wording is poor for describing the endings, my word should be I feel as the I like the anime ending better, although both I view are good endings in the totality of the series as both leave a great room for interpretation, of how the show might go forward in your own mind I just like the idea of knives being still alive and the idea that Vash might teach him to changes his ways, I also like the idea more that Vash is complete as a character after this as if his arc is done, where it's the same in the manga to me it doesn't feel as fulfilling to have knives sacrifice himself for Vash, this is only my interpretation of the events, I also like the idea of knives being a paraplegic, with Vash pestering him to like and value human life like he's does.
