  It's a Polish made paddle by SP2SWT, I don't know it it's available, I got my second hand.

  Decoding is ALWAYS by ear. I don't use any decoders. The captions in all my videos are done by ear and input by hand. As for sending, in contests no serious operator is sending by hand.

  I'm restoring one at the moment, was a terrible mess when I purchased it. Had the cabinet stripped recently, had to replace some wires. Need to go through the schematic as someone had previously messed around with.

  I used to copy that fast when I was in the ASA. I used a mill. Aka manual typewriter.

  Always set a character speed of 20-25 and a Farnsworth speed of 15 and back off as needed. You can speed up as you get better, but save the higher speed for someone you know is learning with you and is at the same pace. Not a requirement, but a damn good suggestion.

  All in all, I think it's better keying slower and the message is fully understood. Too much operators want go so fast that they do with a lot of mistakes.

  Sending is always automated in contests from the N1MM logger app. Receiving is by ear and I type in the callsign and it's sent back with my exchange number and then I type in the received exchange. Almost no one sends by hand in contests.

  QRZ with no question mark after it means . "You are being called by...........". with the question mark it means, "who is calling me"??, - you should be using it otherwise you might get called a lid.

  This is so cool... thanks so much for this video, seeing someone struggle like I would (still better level than mine) is giving me a bit of motivation to try my first QSO, I'm so scared I won't be able to understand, I can code alright I think, probably not clean but still, after listening to a bit my brain decides to just give up! lol I need training I guess lol anyway thanks for the video! much appreciated
