  When I was in the Army we went to a range one day and tried to shoot down RC planes. Turns out it is VERY hard to hit things that are flying, even when it's just an RC plane in horizontal, straight line flight.

  Anyone who has duck hunted, knows it is not that easy and that is with you sitting in a hide, calm, quiet, not in danger. You only try for the ducks in a certain area, right in front of you, where you have all the time in the world and can watch it gliding in to the pond, at MAYBE 30 kph on the glide. Imagine trying it where you had the duck TRYING to get you, going twice or three times duck top speed, and being warned by two other ducks that are half a mile high in the air and can see everything you do. Even if you hit it and disabled it at the normal range greatest you hit a duck, i.e. 50 yards, it is still doing 120 kph. Disabled, doesn't mean miraculously no longer doing 120 kph, headed down your throat.

  Considering the current threat, it has become necessary to dedicate trained personnel armed with customized shotguns and special ammunition as anti-drone gunners. They could prove effective, unlike these vodka chugging shmucks armed with standard shotguns and even a double barrel, probably with no real training and utilizing whatever ammunition, bouncing around in the back of a moving vehicle!
