    These pay and display machines are illegible at 2pm on a bright sunny day!! The user interface where you interpret the instructions is entirely useless. I could not read a thing !!! this must be a scam created by the local authorities to fine you with heavy parking violations !!!,.. look elsewhere, your local municipality is definitely scamming you !!

    These machines are seriously slow, in every town. It takes ages to process contactless payment sometimes after waiting for long time it rejects and then you have to do it again. One of these is next to my GP so I have to make a choice to pay or visit GP.

    These machines are in my area , in Chalfont st Giles. , trouble is nobody knows how to use them for the first hour free . People are driving away without being able to park . It’s ridiculous and so many complaints . A cue was forming the other day and not one person could do it.

    If machines offer time limited free parking, the machines normally need you to enter your vehicle registration, then press the green tick button to print out the ticket.

    Will the space still be available to local orchestras who have regularly performed here for many years?

  • @warwickdc07

    We are working with event organisers to provide alternative spaces for regular users of the Assembly Hall. We also operate the Assembly Rooms in the Royal Pump Rooms, which is a similar space, so it is hoped that many events will transfer over. However, at the moment, due to Covid-19 and social distancing, it is challenging for any events to go ahead.

    Here here,please everyone respect our beautiful recreation areas,to the schools who take children on walks across Saint Marys land,teachers by all means ask the children to take a packed lunch but please do not leave any litter trail except the nature trail,yes this has happened and we must educate our siblings to respect the countryside which is so precious,the litter is not only dangerous to our wildlife but it looks such an eyesore and it costs money to remove it ! everyone young and old act on the messages in this excellent video.

    Ok the video is well made ,but ! Out of all the people in the area of Warwickshire how many will see it ? It's a waste of money to satisfy egos of councillors , as a tax payer who hadn't had a bin emptied for decades I feel abused by such presentations .

    Good to see Warwick DC set these ambitious carbon neutral targets, and seems that new Director has the right background in environmental and climate issues. Shame we don't have the same drive and ambition from the County Council, which may frustrate progress in key areas.

    This has nothing to do with voting, it's all about tracking you down for council tax. There is no obligation in law to complete this form.

  • @warwickdc07
    @warwickdc075 жыл бұрын

    Hi, the canvass form isn't used for Council Tax purposes, it is used to ensure that those that are eligible to vote are on the register, ready for any forthcoming election. The form isn't used for Council Tax purposes because there are instances when occupiers will be liable to pay Council Tax but are not eligible to vote, for example due to their nationality, therefore their names never appear on the electoral register. You are required by law to provide information for the purposes of maintaining the electoral register and this is under The Representation of the People Regulations 2001, however it is entirely up to the individual registered as to whether they vote or not. Hope that helps!

  • @nonenone-vt8cg
    @nonenone-vt8cg5 жыл бұрын

    @@warwickdc07 No it doesn't help at all, it's just a perpetuation of the lies councils tell in order to impose fraudulent council tax. There exists no law obligating any man or woman to register to vote, and if there is I challenge you to quote word for word the actual article of law you are attempting to falsely cite,, as it certainly does not appear in the Representation of the Peoples Act. Similarly there is no obligation in law to register for Council Tax, which is why you fraudsters resort to subterfuge and trickery by misrepresentation of the law.

    We’re all indoctrinated to believe something because it’s written down on a piece of paper. Age. Date. Name. Numbers. Any dopey fool can take part in the illusion that is voting and vote for a load of corporate slave actors in fancy dress shoving their globalist, anti-white, anti-English, virtue signalling agenda down your throats. Not to mention all the corporate harassment letters that come through the door. Had 30 last year. ‘voTe FoR Me’, ‘I’ll LiSteN anD pUt yOu FirsT’ and all that bollocks. Most of us can see through it now. All it is, is when people make illusional money their God, they do their best to extort more illusional money out of others. Working under a double standard system. Minding your own business, not hurting anybody, smashing any windows, stealing anything or whatever and then you leeches come posting corporate harassment letters as always. “Free country”, my arse. You only want everybody to fill the form in so you can make illusional money out of it. But DOES everybody fill it in? Of course they don’t. Never mind all these “cutbacks”, you never cut foreign “aid” or all the wages and expenses so-called councillors and MPs get, do you? So are you selective and use double standard tactics when attempting to extort illusional money from somebody? Because I watched a video where the “person” (could be a rubber duck, for all I care) admitted that they’ve never had to fine anybody in that council (sorry, mafia), but others will try to? Not very “democratic”, is it?

  • @warwickdc07

    Hi Greavesy, the form simply ensures that everyone who is entitled to register to vote has the opportunity to do so. They are not obliged to actually vote, that is their choice.

  • @Greavesy
    @Greavesy6 жыл бұрын

    Warwick District Council Okay, so does that mean that after it is filled in, another form will be sent asking people to register? I’m simply fed up of all the corporate harassment each year. Received 30 letters and leaflets through the door day after day leading up to the illusional “election” last year. Drives you up the wall. Don’t you take “names” off after two years anyway if you get no response? Also, has the census been removed? I’ve heard that this is simply a yearly census to replace the 10 year one? Thanks for replying.

  • @warwickdc07
    @warwickdc076 жыл бұрын

    To answer your first question: if someone receives their form, all of the details are correct and there is no-one to add or remove, once the form is returned to us you don't receive any other forms. If someone receives their form and adds themselves or anyone else to that form, they are then sent an 'Invitation to Register' form. This is because registering for the electoral roll is now the responsibility of the individual, therefore they must sign the form and provide some further information such as national insurance number and date of birth (in order to check eligibility to vote and prevent electoral fraud). Names are removed if there is no response received. We send the initial form, reminders and we send personal canvassers to properties that haven't answered. If there is no response to any of this contact, then names are removed. As far as we are aware there is still a census planned for 2021. The Electoral Register would not be an adequate way of collecting census data because not everyone is eligible to register to vote; for example, some nationalities are not eligible to vote, but are obviously still living in the property. We fully appreciate that receiving the same form every year can be frustrating, however we as an authority are guided by the Electoral Commission. Hopefully soon there will be a change to the method and frequency of the canvass so that it's not required every year.

    This must be part of the new anti-democratic strategy to reduce the number of voters by assuming the householder will register all people. What about privately renting tenants and the temporarily housed - those least likely to vote for one specific party?

  • @warwickdc07
    @warwickdc076 жыл бұрын

    Hi Ian, Individual Electoral Registration was introduced in 2014 as ultimately it is the responsibility of the individual to ensure they are registered to vote. The canvass is simply a way of ensuring that everyone who is eligible to vote is registered and has the opportunity to do so. All households, including those privately renting, are sent a form to ensure they can register to vote. The canvass itself is not new and has been in place for many years.
