You sir are a beast. A video thats straight to the point
To all those knowledgable about these suburban 6.5L diesels....has anyone experienced loss of power (can't get past 15mph) along with lots of black smoke out of the tailpipe? Im having trouble diagnosing the problem and any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated 🙏
Oil.filter be accessible to if lift
I belive I lift up.motor not cut clutch
So how it working i got one just blew up
Did the old PMD make the glow plug light still come on or not?
it still came on with the old pmd
Just dissected the Craftsman version of this saw on the bench because of the same problem. Chunks of hose fell out of the oil reservoir, but couldn't tell how it was routed just by jamming my finger in and feeling around. Now I know what's up, thanks!
Hey I have one truck runs well for 30mins then shut off I already change the pmd out an it still shut off ….???
Just replaced my PTO belts and the unit decided not to fire up after. I can’t even get through flow plugs on without putting a jumper box on my battery. But when I do, I get the click action happening. Also, the tiny gear spindle won’t retract. Any thoughts?
If it was mine, I would probably check the battery connections. I replaced my positive cable from the battery this year as a preventative. It is hard to say. I replaced a starter on a VW diesel only to find it was bad cables. I would relook at everything related to the electrical system that was touched when changing those belts.
@@nicksnextproject535 thank you! I’m going to look more closely at the battery today. Most folks I’ve talked to seem to think that is the issue.
How are you. I have a 1994 Chevrolet 2500 diesel 6.5 turbo. It starts when cold, works for a few minutes and turns off, then you try to start and it doesn't start, there are times that it turns on for 1 or maximum 3 seconds and turns off. When it cools completely it turns back on without problem. Can you please advise me? Because I replaced the pmd and the failure continues.
If it was mine, I would start with checking for air in the fuel filter housing when running the lift pump. On a 94, I would look into the oil pressure sensor. There is also a fuel shutoff solenoid that can be checked to ensure proper operation. If there is a mechanic in your area with experience on these trucks, that would be a great option.
i wonder if the 50cc model is the same??
Just replaced both of my optima yellow top batteries after I replace the frame mounted fuel pump and my 6.5 just doesn’t seem like it has the power to fully crank over the motor like before. I’ve bled all the air and still nothing . Any suggestions
Dirty ground or the battery positive and negative need replaced is what I would suspect. My most recent video shows a VW diesel that was cranking slowly until I replaced the battery cables even after buying a starter.
Thank you I will try that for sure
Looks to be in absolutely mint condition. Well done👍
which pump are you always refering to the lift or the injector pumps
If it was me, I would check for air in the fuel filter housing by running the lift pump.
@@nicksnextproject535 no air all good. But was wondering about the fuses and relay's you where pulling. where they for the lift pump or the pmd fuses.
@@cdm1012 I would check all the fuses. There was a relay that I pull out to jump the lift pump and I have ran the truck with that relay removed and the lift pump jumpered so I dont think that relay runs the PMD. That fuel relay and the PMD are both pretty cheap parts to replace before taking it to a mechanic. Again I would look at all fuses under the hood and in the driver side dash panel.
@@nicksnextproject535 thanks fuses all good replacing the PMD as when removed looks like she got a little warm crispy lol.
Could you help me get my truck running
If I was your neighbor I would try. From here, I can suggest taking it to a mechanic which I figure thats not what you want to hear. One good test is to check if any air bubbles are coming into the fuel filter housing.
That looked like a knock off 361
Just bought a G2000 Im excited about it, runs very well at 950 hrs. Getting ready to change all fluid and filters thanks!
Kubotas are a pleasure to mow with. I looked at a G1900 last weekend with a 60" deck. The seller was asking $1000.00 but I had to pass because it looked a bit too junky.
@@nicksnextproject535 damn. Mine came with a 60" deck that was fully serviced last year. I only wish that this model was a 4WS.
That's cool. What you gonna use it for?
Not sure yet but I'll put up a video when I find a good host for it.
Update on my issue, It was the PMD I had lost my fuel prime I had to use the engine starter to finally crank it
Glad to hear you got it running again.
Bummer it's not the PMD apparently 😕 it won't start again, even with another pmd must be something else?????
That is a problem with these trucks trying to track down what is causing the issue. You might see if there are air bubbles coming into the fuel filter housing. @@roberttalebli4869
@nicksnextproject535 it could be 98-00 CHEVY / GMC Truck 1500 Passlock VATS Module 16264955 GM what do you think 🤔
@@roberttalebli4869 I havent looked into the passlock system but with these trucks my opinion is to try and test as much as you can before buying parts.
Where would we get the harness kit…,
Where would we find kit with harness…

I broke down on the road last week and I changed the pmd and still not cranking and now I can't hear the glow plug relay clicking anymore? Any ideas 💡?
kzread.info/dash/bejne/hZ-Yxtxwh6aapbQ.html Here's a guy jumping his glow plugs. If it was me, I would also consider putting the jumper wire on the fuel relay pins as well so that you can hear the lift pump running before you start cranking it.
I got the glow plug relay working , but have not jumped the fuel relay do you think the relay may be the issue perhaps the solenoid or even the lift pump not putting out enough fuel pressure? I had the van for 13 years running without any major issues@@nicksnextproject535
It ended up being my PMD I had lost fuel prime when it shut down and after replacing the PMD and using some starting fluid mixed with ATF it fired back up and now runnung!@@nicksnextproject535
Glad you passed on this information.. I messed up awhile back thinking the front and rear were the same. The hyd rear end section is 6 gallons hyd oil and the transmission section is 5 gallons....both sections have a plug on the side to tell fluid level.... Sadly no outside dip stick and no outside filters....Hate that part
Thanks for the feedback. It'll help somebody.
If you replace the cable you will have to remove the gas tank so you remove the old and route the new.
What puller is that do you have a number for the puller so I can buy one Thanks

Buy 2 grade 8 1/2 inch x 3 inch bolts and nuts. Knock out 2 lugs opposite of one another. Put the 3 inch bolts through the lug holes with the nuts on the back side of the hub. Keeping the nuts against the back of the hub align the bolts against the backing plate and tighten. This willl pop the hub out. Cost is about 3 dollars for this puller. Really good Video Nick.
Thanks for the details on the hardware. I will reference this info if I do this process again.
Bout to do this
kzread.info/dash/bejne/nax2m9p8ipDdZbQ.html I did this bolt trick a couple days ago and it worked great fyi . Thanks for vid though
So it’s kinda difficult to see which wires you splice into for the switch. Are you referring to the small slide on connectors on the selinoid? Does it matter which one you use? Do you have a better picture or wiring diagram?
Any problems after the oil change?
No problems yet
Why on this flat earth does nobody disconnect the chime bell from these trucks????
In dealerships we obviously weren’t allowed. In fleet they are a good thing, but we clipped the wire and added a small tucked away toggle switch- haha. You can guess where mine go. Haha

5 stars for this video.
Using air rather than a pressure washer to regularly remove buildup will greatly reduce the formation of rust.
That does make sense. My compressor is probably not up to the task. Maybe I could use a leaf blower but that probably would not push enough air.
I did two coats on my 60" Kubota deck about a year and a half ago. I found there to be less buildup than and uncoated deck and the buildup that did occur came off much easier. It also prevents the deck from rusting out in the areas where there is buildup. I plan to touch up as needed every two years.
Great choice!
Hello, there is a problem on my 2008 Honda trx250tm ES fourtrax. the indicator on the display shows a different position compared to the position on the gearbox. for example on the screen it says that the gearbox is in first gear, but the gearbox is actually in neutral and the green light for neutral does not light up. when I press the small handle and the button down to put it in reverse, the green light for neutral comes on and the gearbox is in reverse gear. I note that I can't get the letter R on the screen at all. I changed the angle sensor but everything is the same. Does anyone have a solution?
Havent encountered that one sorry
So I’ve had my 08 Yaris for about a year just hit 100k miles and noticed I have turn signals but no parking lights I got to them exactly how your showing I’m glad I didn’t follow any other method it would’ve turned into a project! But I still have no stay on yellow parking lights just turn signals and rear park lights
Mine has a new pmd injection pump glow plugs there’s air in fuel lines and won’t start
That is common with these. I would just go clear through the lines and replace them all and any o rings if needed. It is worth the investment with the price and rarity of good trucks these days.
Great video
I've got a 2600 and ran into the same issue, Until we realized that there were two holding tanks for the fluid. My 2600 doesn't have a bucket on it like that one. How does it attach?
I think its bolted on underneath. It was on the tractor when purchased and hasnt been removed.
Will this be the same on a 2006 model
I managed to use 1/8 line (was much cheaper. I used 3/32 tygon for fuel). It fits TIGHT, but wasn't too much of a struggle to install. Wasn't too loose on the end barbs.
Good to know. Thanks for the info.
Ha, I bought the same stuff this weekend. Box of sand paper, steel wool, paint brushes and supplies, tools. I'll grab chemicals if it's something I can use like you said.
Great minds think alike! We're out here buying stuff that we will use. It can be a trap at garage sales to buy something only because it is a good deal.
Smart to look for this stuff at estate sales. Most garage sales wouldn't be selling them, but everything must go with an estate.
Absolutely! We don't have estate sales here much, but I much prefer them to garage sales.
Hey Nick, good haul. Just like you, I'm looking at things like this and you can really score a good deal at yard sales and such by keeping an eye out for them. Great video!
Glad to hear it, Joe! Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks so much it's fixed now 👍👍
Sure thing. Glad I could help.
