Shera may have ruffled some feathers but shes very correct actually. I've received my highest compliments from non-blk men when my hair was/is straight or with a "bump" of wavy to it. Thats not taking anything away from my natural 3c/4a hair texture but thats just the way it has been in my life.

I know its crazy to say. Although I believe I am beautiful which we're all supposed to feel that. I notice in social media there are men who dont talk about their obsession with curly hair. I do see the curly hair account where all the grody older men throw in heart emojis, but I notice my age group don't make a big deal about girls with curly hair. Sometimes, there are guys with flat heads who do treat me like a unicorn.

I wouldn’t say I was jealous of the video vixens per se but I definitely was enamored by their looks. That era and the 90s black actresses were just so dreamy! Women who look like Barbie, white or black, like pageant queens. Bright eyes, healthy teeth, clear skin and in shape.

Facts, I work around men with a lot of money. Their wives are not walking around with curly hair, braids or Afros . I asked some men about what they like . Even Hispanic men tell me they like long hair. One black man told me I don’t care as long as it’s long . It’s so funny how black women are getting upset about this . When they hate the same thing. Make it make sense. Great video EU .

If there are braids, then the braids have to "look" a particular type of way I've noticed. Which has made me very careful with an braid style I decide to do

Black women need to come to terms with the insecurities surrounding their hair. I'm unambiguously black. I'm brown skin with 3c/4a hair. Men have always loved my big hair. I'm 40 and am married now but I've always dated white men. In my experience the men I dated actually preferred my hair natural vs if I straightened it. So I think it just depends. We shouldn't get bent out of shape over opinions...but social media doesn't work like that. 😂

In perspective and to the contrary, most (informed) men get their beauty standards of women from the real physical environments that they grew up in, and not from Hollywood, porn, fantasies or social media.

I think Millennials and Gen Z's have willfully abandoned the meaning of words in exchange for creating definitions at their personal convenience. I notice this most among African Americans All the women in my family back to my great-grandmother have or had between 2a and 3c, As a man that also includes myself and I have never been particular to anything else. Periodtt.

That's cool. As a light skin black woman I'm not gonna beat myself up to look like something im not. I'm all about divesting but I'm not gonna be somebody that I'm not. I also do not indulge anymore in spending hundreds of dollars in straight or wavy hair. If a wealthy man do not want me because I have afro hair then I don't want to be in that relationship. It's the same equivalent of waking up before he does and putting on a face full of makeup so he won't see what you really looks like. Sounds exhausting. To each their own. Porn is a sickness to happiness.

Since I am very much into white men, I’ve always preferred my hair straight. However, I have embraced my natural hair since I could no longer wear relaxers. Not to brag, but white men have admired me with my afro. Now, if I want straight hair, I will throw on a wig. But, since it has been so hot, I just wear my natural hair. By the way, Shera is on-point regarding what white men like. Those men will date a black woman with natural hair if she is beautiful, shapely, and well-dressed. The bottom line is a woman needs to be comfortable in her own skin.

Right. Being natural won’t save you which is why you should decenter men altogether . Late have your own money and exit plan , and never expect the guy to automatically stay with you for life no matter how much he claims to love you in the moment . That’s called common sense .

I wish women can see wigs as accessories like jewelry and makeup. This clouded male hyper fixation got these women in a choke hold. Shera is telling women what they need to do if they want to live THAT lifestyle. And if you want to be married and care for don’t click on her videos simple right¿ nope. A man will get down and dirty with a goat why are you breaking down because majority of men are hand fed their preferences in what they should get in a women beside them going outside and figuring out what they want. I’m not better then the next girl so I already know if I got a guy he would be attracted at another girl if he is a straight heterosexual male. Also the part in the video about which hairstyles attract whom. for me when I had straight hair it attracted black men I never wore blonde hair though I do want to buy a blonde big Afro wig 😍. I quickly stopped getting my hair straighten when the attention got to much they wouldn’t leave me alone. My Afro wig attract all kind of men and when I wear braids people think I’m 16 so they stare at a distance and don’t approach me ( and thank god to that 😂🎉). But I agree straight hair wavy hair is what preferred by the masses. (I like blonde hair to ✋)

i enjoyed listening to this. i believe that if you want to level up TRULY you can’t be offended or mad at facts. the women who get what they want are the women who aren’t afraid to adjust and adapt. you can’t expect things to be given to you without effort and you can’t expect the world to conform to what you feel or believe. side note.. the revair blow dryer was a game changer for me. it gets my hair smooth straight and frizz free with no damage. it’s been almost a year using it and my hair is nearly to my hips now. i wear my hair straight because it fits my own personal beauty ideal and it’s most flattering on me. i find curly hair absolutely beautiful also but there’s too many factors that effect the overall look (i live in a sub tropical climate lol). anyway i’m not afraid to change my hair texture, work out more, commit to a skin care routine, etc because it all helps me reach my goals and helps me feel beautiful and happy every day!

  • @ExoticalsUnited

oh wow! i wonder what hairstyle youre doing and what color blonde? ( i dont do 613 blonde for example.) it could be the blonde or the style? im also tall and slender, which is a popular beauty standard in the white community where i live. also, i ALWAYS have dark roots. ive never done blonde from root to tip. or i've done blonde highlighted curly wigs. so it always is a color melted blonde or a baylayage blonde. the hair is never human hair and i never do baby hairs etc. i think how you style it plays a role as well. maybe you can make a video about it? i think people take your clothes, makeup, and body type into consideration when determining your cultural background as well as your speaking voice etc.

@@ExoticalsUnited well I’m 5’2 with a body type more similar to Beyoncé in her youth. I’ve been compared to looking like Alicia Keys or Tamera Mowry but my style is super preppy (unless I’m wearing athleisure because idk if that’s considered preppy) - similar to you, with blazers, pantyhose lace, etc. To be honest I blame my overly emphasized small waist to hip ratio and I’m actively trying to cut fat to see if I could look more athletic like Ciara People always made fun of me for “talking white” and quite frankly as a West Indian the way I see the world is mostly in opposition to popular black American culture so their interest fades pretty quickly. I just want them to stop approaching me altogether though !!!!
