Enjoying your vlogs. My friend and I are planning our TCT for next year. What backpack did you use?
Very exciting! 😍 You're going to have the best time. I used the REI Trail 40L Women's backpack.
Ive been to Catalina many times over the last 30 years. The hills in Avalon are no joke. You reminded me of that on your hike down to the ferry. Fun video. Thanks for sharing.
a small part of the city really feels like it’s San Francisco! hope you can enjoy another trip there soon :)
Always stop for the swing set!! thanks for sharing. i've added this to my list
💯
Looked like a fun hike. Thanks for taking us along.
it's definitely one of my favorites so far! thanks for joining me :)
Nice to see your foxy friend make another appearance 😀
*Sometimes solitude is you best partner* ✔
1 paper plate. 2 tortillas filled with regret 😂😂
the burritos and I were very happy together. 🫶
The view is spectacular . Your trail friend wanted some of your burrito.
Awesome!

Nice video. Cool cars. I watched an older video yesterday about the book you read. Have you managed to stay off the cigarettes after a few years?
Thanks! and yesssss, it still blows my mind to this day how trapped I felt by cigarettes at the time but thanks to that book I was able to change that practically overnight, worked like magic!
@@goldilocks_walks Well done👍
Awesome sunset. Hopefully you’ll see buffalo on this trip like before.
you'll have to wait and see! 😊
I saw those microwave burritos and knew the bathroom footage couldn't be far away!
😂
nature calls 😊
so you travel alone or not?
a little bit of both
Pike Place Market is on my bucket list as well. Thanks for taking us along for the adventure 👊
it’s absolutely worth the visit!! lots to see/do/taste/smell/hear…
The Mountain Goat recognized you as its Spirit Animal. 👊
😍😍😍
I can remember going to Crater Lake as a young child and still remember how magnificent it was. You did a great job capturing the beauty. Also. Cannon Beach is such an iconic representation of Oregon. Well done. 👊
and this footage still doesn’t do justice. absolutely gorgeous out there 😍
You are inspiring. 👊
Ahhh. To be young again. Thanks for sharing your adventure 👊
thanks for coming along for the journey!
Congrats on completing one of my bucket list items. 👊
thank you!! ❤️
Catalina Island is very dear to my heart. Did you see the dive bombing pelicans in Two Harbors?
not on this trip, but I have witnessed it elsewhere!
KZread algorithm brought me here. First impression is you have a great on camera presence and voice tone. I know nothing about you other than this video. Well done. I watch travel videos because I am currently not able to travel because I’m married. To my job. Safe Travels. 👊
been there!! thanks for the feedback :)
Good going sleeping in the car💪 I've done that when out hiking normally use a tent. The sun looked amazing through the trees. Beautiful 🌅👏👏❤️👋
it was so photogenic and the colors were even more vibrant in person!
Nice tour. The food did look spicy. Never seen a step walking machine like that before, looks good. You had beautiful weather, the sky looked awesome. So special. Nice hike. You could see the heat from the water, on hot springs. Hope you both had fun👋❤️
Thanks! It was a blast, and we definitely got lucky with the weather over that last week. The "stair master" is the best machine at the gym! 😉
What a great film. And so nice to see a travel film which isn't mostly a moving selfie of somebody walking down the street. Great quality film too. I'm English and have a long time love of Budapest. It's only two and half hours flight from where I live. You seemed to pack a lot in to your short trip.
thanks for the positive feedback. so much to see, so little time! :)
Amazing video...thanks for sharing 🎉🎉🎉

Good to see I'm not the only one that stops to talk to every deer I see 😁 thanks for sharing. Was a nice reprieve from the 102 we have outside today
oof 100+ is brutal, stay cool!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great video ❤ Nice to meet you 🙏🙏🙏
thank you 🫶
i love you
😘
Good morning. That was great. You drove for hours again. The chicken looked delicious. Spicy and delicious. What a beautiful place to walk. Beautiful view over Chicago. Good feet dipping. You show me places I only see in the movies. Looked a good atmosphere at the football stadium. Keep having fun👋❤️
Thanks for coming along for the ride! 😊❤️
@goldilocks_walks I like your vids and your toilet mirror stops😁 How are you so far behind with your uploads?❤️
@@JamieHarding5 life is time consuming, I'm always up to something :)
@goldilocks_walks Me too😁. I'll catch up on your lastest one today. I got battered up the mountain the other day🌧🌧 I filmed a crash site from 1950s I'm going back there September. A woman from America is flying over it was her father's cousin. I'm taking her up the mountain and to the plane. She's bringing photos and lamenting them to leave by the plane. Keep sharing and having fun👋❤️ Your videos are good, you talk and film well.

oh snap 😱 didn’t even notice that! 😂

@@goldilocks_walks thank you💥💥
I always wonder how tourists from the USA choose a hostel instead of a hotel or guesthouse, it is more convenient. Even though Poles earn much less, they would never choose a hostel. Poland is really cheap for tourists from the dollar or euro zone.😀
Cheaper or not, $$$ goes further in general when you choose the least expensive option! In addition to saving money, hostels also provide epic social connection opportunities, and many even have free or discounted tours.
Oszczędnością i pracą, ludzie się bogacą 😉
@@goldilocks_walksgood point. If you only need the place to sleep between your all day adventures in the city, it’s better to save money for other activities. I’m glad you enjoyed the visit in my hometown 👍🏻
@@martinkarnstein Sorry, but a poor person from America doesn't come to Poland. And hostels usually hire school trips, but they are a whole group and they don't need much. And I would never be afraid to go to a hostel alone. There is another Polish proverb; you can guess what it is, but I won't write it because maybe someone won't understand the allusion and will get offended.👍
The tiles on the roof of the Matthias Church are a Hungarian invention. Their name is Majolinka ( mayolinka) , they were produced in the Zsolnay factory in Pécs ( not pex, pech) . You can see these on several buildings. 6:06 the closer chili (here it is called paprika) is not spicy. It's red because it's starting to ripen. Usually this type can be seen in yellowish white. Commonly used in dishes, sandwiches, salads, pickled and filled with cabbage. It is the basic ingredient of two dishes. This is lecso ( lecho) and stuffed peppers. The first one is an onion-tomato ragout, and the second one has spicy rice meat in the berry. The more distant kind is pungent.. So much so that even its name is hegyes erős (sharp and strong ). This is mainly sold in dark green form. This is in biological maturity. There is a third on top. This is the kapia. Its thick flesh is characterized by a sweet taste. it is eaten fresh, fried and grilled. I don't think peppers have as much culture in Mexico as here..😁 7:01 This guy was a writer and poet. He cultivated the Hungarian language at a very high level. Shakespeare's translations still give direction today. 7.32 Figures of a Hungarian fairy tale series on the projector. ( Magyar Népmesék )
fascinating, thank you so much for the details!! there's still so much food I want to try...
0:32 there are memes where smoked sausage is the car air freshener.. Hungarian goulash is always soup. Stew ( in hungarian pörkölt) is another dish. By the way, the word goulash is also the name of a shepherd who raises cattle (syn. cowboy). So this is their food.. Which is not true, because they even had to report the animal that died of the disease. There was no meat like that. Paprika was expensive. The onion too. They mainly ate boiled pasta, prepared in a special way. It's a slambuc. For the shoes: The perpetrators also "worked" later. You can see things about this in the House of Terror (many people with a farmer background could tell you about it...me too). The Málenkij robot memorial commemorates what happened between the two. The word is Russian and means little work. Which in practice is 15-20 years in Norilsk or somewhere else in Siberia. It was enough if you were in the wrong place at the wrong time.... But enough is enough. Next time you're there, look around Margitsziget, the Buda mountains, Mátra or Bükk national parks. You can go to Hortobágy or even to Bakony. This is a mountain range on the northern shore of Lake Balaton. I recommend WithWillie's channel.
oooh I will definitely have to check out the national parks on my next visit since I didn't get to do any outer city exploring during this trip. the House of Terror museum was intense, I wish I was able to share more about the exhibits in there but they had a "no filming" rule. thanks for sharing these notes!
Did you know why Western Christian churches ring bells at noon? In 1456, the city belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary under the name Nándorfehérvár. It was the most important defense point of the southern central border. By this time, he had already successfully fended off an Ottoman attack. However, Sultan Mehmet II did not give up and attacked the fortress. The Kingdom of Hungary was also prepared, and sent its best general János Hunyadi there. He was already known for his abilities. The Pope also sent help. A monk and something else. We will return to this. The fortress had to be relieved from the outside and supported via the Danube river. But the Turkish troops blocked the way. However, the Hungarian warship men's (among whom there were many Serbs) broke through and destroyed the Turkish ships. Thus, food, gunpowder and rested soldiers reached the fortress. The monk successfully gathered about 15,000 insurgents. But their fighting value was weak... In the end, the Turkish attack was successfully repelled, but János Hunyadi died in the outbreak of the plague. His son is the most popular Hungarian ruler Mátyás. In the meantime, the other papal help reached the Europe of the time, too. "Pray and ring the bell at noon for Christian victory" Then the Pope amended: "This is how you give thanks for the Christian victory." This victory was a huge thing, as it was achieved against the superpower of the time
The rest area you were at in Alabama is about 10 minutes from where I live.
Can you confirm whether or not that was real bathroom footage? Rumor has it that all of the bathroom footage is CGI.
@@T.K... well, I don’t spend any time in the ladies room, but I can confirm that the men’s room is the mirror opposite of that.
lol
Whenever you hopefully go back, I'd definitely recommend hiking up Gellert Hill on the Buda side of the city! Full of great parks and art, and there are places where it feels like you aren't even in a city (same thing with parts of Margaret Island) - the views from the top are spectacular too ☺ So cool that you got to stay right across from the Great Market Hall!
Oooh I'll definitely have to check that out! Thanks for the tips. We got really lucky with the location. 🙏
