Mass Effect romance options were hilarious to put it plainly, well developed though. It'd be good to see you put out some actual gaming videos of maybe what you're currently playing or some of your fav games, been subscribed for a while and seen a few of your videos which consist mostly of talking but not much actual gameplay. it is "huber shorter - it's gaming" after all!

First and foremost, enjoy the 4070 man! I've been meaning to upgrade my PC for a while now, but boy will I need to fork out a pretty penny. Fable was probably the first RPG game I played on the original Xbox game. Amazing game, since then the IP has seen a slow and steady decline in the quality of the games made and its in-keeping with what makes Fable, Fable. With regards to the aesthetic of the main character, I mean we're seeing a growing trend, particularly with game studios that are in consultancy with SBI that these female characters who look less female and more like a would-be male counterpart in every single occasion. I recall on X, there was a game dev, Del Walker, who recently spoke out about pitching a beautiful black women leads but that they are constantly transformed and made ugly. There has to be a balance between characters that look pretty and characters that are frankly ugly. It is not impossible to have beautiful female leads as well as less attractive counterparts. Even Star Wars Outlaw's female lead was made uglier for no apparent reason as opposed to the in-game model mimicking that of the actual person. I like the route the Japanese and South Koreans are taking, they stay true to the models used, they understand their audience and what they want. I'm not particularly one to care for male fan-service but I quite frankly simply cannot ignore the very obvious push from DEI consultancies such as SBI to change the MO with regards to female characters and leads. I've always held that the character, setting, mechanics and plot are what make a game but now it seems games are increasingly becoming DEI checkboxes as opposed to games made with love and passion. We are, quite frankly, getting terrible games with leads who we cannot resonate or root for and in some cases, much beloved characters are being transformed from what audiences have known to grow and love into unrecognisable characters. Jean Grey from Insomnia's in-the-works Wolverine being the latest victim, she's always been pretty, whether in the comics, movies, MVC3, you name it, she's attractive, but now she looks like a middle-aged auntie extra that you'd see as a side character in GTA or an open world game. This is not to say all characters need to be pretty, good looking or vanilla aesthetics. But let's be honest, the halo effect exists for a reason. Fundamentally people want characters who they think look good, cool or attractive. That's some of the appeal of these games. Speaking in terms of Fable, the world looks gorgeous, I have the customisation options and the gender selection option makes a return. I'm glad they're returning to the age of Fable 1 if you will. That was the best time. IMHO Fable 1 is still one of the best games I've ever played.

I think some of the complaints can be quite toxic but the gameplay is the most important thing and you can avoid all of this with a character creator !

If memory serves, the 'drama' behind the ugly character was more about what the devs said / replied when asked about it. It made it seem like they were using this character/opportunity to push an agenda instread of just making a game. (i've not kept up with the drama but thats what i remember hearing)

@@AlaskaOwensI kinda get what they mean. A lot of modern fiction (movies, TV shows, and games) only add lgbtqia characters to pretend to care, but do it so sloppily that it comes off dishonest. Meanwhile you have DAI who gave is Krem and Sera. Krem, a trans Tavinter man who nobody ever spotlights, but doesn't make it a big secret you're only supposed to know about if you dig through mountains of files, and Sera, easily the cutest remale romance option in the game, but she's not a sex object to fantasise about, or hitting on every girl she sees, and if you don't take the hint and keep hitting on her as a male, she straight up leaves cause you're a creep for doing that. The way I always look at it, is you can have a GAY character, and you can have a character, who's also gay. The GAY character's entire existence stats with them being gay, and then branches off from there. They're a GAY rogue, or a GAY mage, or a GAY warrior. Meanwhile the other character is written as a warrior, or a mage, or a rogue, and that's what matters. The end... Oh, and they're also into people of the same gender. Here's hoping Major Wolf IS overreacting, but well written lgbt characters are a lot less common than characters who are written as stereotypes by straight people who think they're being woke.

"Fast travel and horses, essentially are for wimps" - definitely agree on fast travel, but as I'm sure you already know, one of the best things about W3 Wild Hunt was traveling by horse, following the trail for a quest, only to come across a side quest or monster den. You could get lost for hours traversing off-path... I still go back and get lost in that game every now and again.

I'm with you this is my 4th start over with this game with over 300hrs and I still haven't reached the end game because I've found out there are several quest that I'm locked out of. Now I've played DD1 back in the day, but that was a different style of gaming back then, what worked back then doesn't always work in this gaming era. It's a great game but it lacks modern features, like traveling one of my biggest issues, back in the day walking around was fine, but now this doesn't work. Another issue is the since of direction for side quest, they put an exclamation point on the map for nothing, well to mark a ladder. My rant is over, great video and hope you do another playthrough. Oh who ever made up the NG+, newsflash when the story is over so is the game there is nothing after that.

Why not just finish to start new game plus? Or post story content? My reason why I dropped it is because my save file bugged and completely wiped all my progress. It was nearly 80hours of progress wiped instantly. Maybe some time down the line when the game gone through a ton of patches and I can be confident it won't do that again. The fact it's a one file save system though makes me question that though.

Playing this after BG3 and feels completely sterile, not a bad game but it still needs polishing; pawn AI is incredibly dumb, combat is pure chaos with everyone swinging around, fighting a very limited variety of enemies, the fast travel system is made to artificial stretch the length of the game, armours are between great and ridiculous I don't get the hype, it improved on the first, but feels the same, it's a decent game but not great or goty People tend to see mediocrity as excellence probably because of the ocean of garbage games that come out

I urge you to stick with it. You'll want to experience the "true ending" endgame. I'm on NG+++ and still stumbling onto side quests I didn't know were there. I played through NG totally blind, which is my way. After that I allowed myself the luxury of consulting the wiki to satisfy my completionist urge. The side quests, in truth, are far less interesting than the combat, world exploration, and sheer joy of exploring the different vocations. Which is good, because they can be quite frustrating. IMO the developers overdid it in their effort to make sure players had to discover things on their own. (And I'm a big fan of Dark Souls.) I love the overall arc and theme of the story; however, the causal chain feels weak, with key plot points that can fall between the cracks, as well as broken links where a quest can't be completed because there was only one narrow path to navigate it. I've even resorted to walkthroughs on occasion, which I usually avoid. That said, I love the game. I'll probably restart it at some point because I prefer to play low level characters and crave more difficulty. To challenge myself in NG+++, I'm playing trickster with only my main pawn to dish out damage. Whatever you do, the endgame ("true" ending) is very much worth it.

Well let me start by saying Baldur's Gate and Dragons Dogma 2 are both different games. That being said, if your biggest gripe is unfinished missions and you haven't beaten the game then you shouldn't have made this post to begin with... There are multiple ways to complete most missions which add's a little more "spice" to NEW GAME PLUS!!! Where you get to do things differently while maintaining your level and items. But hey, if you cant stay focused long enough to complete the playthrough... Maybe Dragons Dogma 2 just isn't for you....

The fast travel mechanic just isnt fun for more than 1 play through. Feels like wasted money just to fast travel when in most games it's free and easy. When games feel more like work than fun, I stop playing. Just like starfield, just a few minor tweaks could have fixed it.

I ended up doing the same, I got to level 47, got to the sphinx where it asked me for my first seeker token and I thought, that's the equivalent of bilbo asking gollum what he had in his pocket. I started a new game and I'm not ashamed to say, got all of the side quests up online through powerpyx and just methodically done them.
