Although I am not sure, I think you forgot to mention a very important feature which is the 4 wheel drive which gives the car an lighter driving experience Although it is almost 2 Tons. At low speeds, back wheels will turn the opposite side, making the turning easier and at over around 70km/h they will progressively turn to the same side of the front wheels and make the turns more stable. It is quite impressive, I must say

I would mount orange wheels and orange caps on mirrors, but not on this base color, would look better on a white car (like the Mk 3 Leon Cupras before). But then again, I have an orange Ateca ;-) If you're not afraid of the sun, do the details in black, black logos also, maybe black-smoked rear lights, carbon or carbon looking rear wing and side mirrors...

Great review. I agree with many of your points and its main rival being a 991. Also to consider in this price range in my opinion - a pair of dark horses - but the Lotus Emira and facelifted Jaguar F-Type

This is a good option! As the new M2 has come down in price a lot in the last 2 months and dealers have heaps of stock, I'm driving one soon, also the former M2CS has come down to a similar price, another car I'd wish to compare to this.

I just retired and looking after the LAST dream car for myself, I am afriad once I bought a G87 M2, there will be a Competition come out few months later😅

My view on the allocation business is that it depends on your region. You and the people you know in Australia might not have that problem (which is fantastic) but in markets like the United Kingdom and the US, the business of allocation is a shit show. This is probably due to the demand for these vehicles in the UK and US versus the number of vehicles available per year. Your GT4RS rant was spot on though.

For sure and per individual dealer, I hear mixed things on Reddit for US customers, some who have no mark up and have semi decent buyer history and some who already have large collections but get asked for huge mark ups and get threatened with no car.

Lovely Specc'd RS! Correct, Porsche Aust do not limit who they sell cars too, but they are a little selective to weed out flippers. They simply told me, keep it minimum one year and we'll not have an issue in the future for another purchase. If I do sell within the year, then I will be at the bottom of the selection list.

@@Driver_88 Sadly no PTS slot for me. Ended up going GT silver, weissach with silver rims. Weissach pack has become pretty pricey which makes it hard to justify, but I liked the rims so much more. Boat docks 21 June so should be able to pick it up pre 30 June. I've had Gt3 (992) for almost 2 years so I am looking forward to seeing the difference.

Allocation availability depends in part on where you are doing business and your approach. If the approach is transactional to flip cars, you will get nothing b/c you are putting nothing into the relationship.

They are still asking higher prices than in 2019 :) but many have been sitting for 6 months without selling, I think pretty soon within the year some 991.1 3RS and 991.2 GT3s will come down and look like good value
