    I am going to do Ragnarok for my Leap Day Long Dog. I just need to figure out what fabric I want to do and what color/s. I am having a hard time deciding between monochrome (or maybe 2 colors) and several colors. These decisions are so difficult, lol. I also have several neglected SALs that I have started but not finished. I am doing more SALs this year - I never learn... apparently. Have an awesome stitchy month and take care of you! 💖💖🤗🤗

    I guess I’m glutton for punishment as well 🤣 I have started quite a few SALs but ended up giving up on them & tossing because I didn’t like the design once more parts were released. you can never go wrong with monochrome (hello, easy stitching!) but I always see people doing LDs in many different colors, and it always looks so pretty!

  • @theparttimestitcher

    I don’t make them. It’s called a “grime guard” And can be found all over Etsy, and even in some needlework stores.

  • @theparttimestitcher

    It’s a needleminder. It’s to hold your needle in between stitching. I think I got it from a shop that’s no longer in business unfortunately. If you come across a digital collage sheet you can print out a picture & glue it to a flat wooden piece, like a 1” scrabble tile square (I’ve gotten some from Hobby Lobby) and glue the magnet to the back, and then you have a needle minder 😁

    Hi Talia, what is the best embroidery hoop you can recommend? I'm very new to cross stitching however I've done it once before and I don't like the round hoops. Thank you for referring me to your second channel...I really like it. ❤

  • @theparttimestitcher
    @theparttimestitcher8 ай бұрын

    I don’t usually work in hoops that often; I’m more of a q-snap girl. But I personally like the hoops that you can find at Michael’s (and maybe Hobby Lobby?) that have the silicone wood grain outer ring. They’re by Anchor & they come in 3 different sizes. www.michaels.com/product/anchor-faux-wood-round-embroidery-hoop-frame-10665207

    I love Long Dogs! I would get all of them if I could afford them and ever be able to stitch them, lol. I really like the project bags you get in your subscription. I don't like the vinyl fronted ones, the vinyl sticks to paper, and has destroyed some of my patterns, when any pressure is placed on the bag for an extended period of time. Very annoying! Thanks for enabling me today! Take care of you🤗🤗💖💖

Somehow...don't ask me how (lol)...I still keep right on joining any SAL that catches my interest. All of my WIPGO squares are dedicated to SAL projects. 2023 has to be the year of catching up on, and finishing, some of the redonkulous number of WIPs that I have. Looking forward to seeing your progress on WIPGO and Acrostic. Thanks for keeping me company while I stitch (on a SAL of course, lol). Take care of you🤗🤗❤❤

    Happy New Year! Sounds like you have a pretty good handle on the upcoming year in stitches. I love the 24HOCS planner! I got it last year and it was working pretty good. I had mentioned to Jen that I would love a Monday start version and WOOT! this year she has one - I am super pumped because I love Monday start (I like my weekend days to be side by side...partly for decorating purposes, lol). I think last year I tried to participate in too many things - WIPGO, Stitch from Stash, Free Cross Stitch Challenge, 24HOURS challenges, etc. It was a bit much, so this year I am going to concentrate on the planner challenges and then maybe a simplified WIPGO. We shall see where the year take us...right?! I am also focusing on SALs, especially past ones that I didn't finish (there are a lot of them, lol). I am super jealous of your trip to Stitch Con! I hope it is amazing! I look forward to hearing your updates in 2023 and I hope you have a fantabulous year. Take care of you❤❤🤗🤗

No need to get any more charts or kits...right?! HAHAHA of course we will get more - can one ever really have enough? I really should go on a "finish 3 start 1" kind of system. It worked for diamond painting maybe it will work for my stitching as well. Although the DPs are so very much quicker than say, a HAED. I have tons of those little kits and there is no reason why I can't get a bunch of those done this winter. Just need to find some motivation, lol. Thanks for sharing all your awesome stitchy stash! 🦋 Nice to catch up with you today. As for your sweet daughter, she is going through the ‘terrible twos’ another way of saying she is asserting her independence. Maybe she needs a little wooden hammer and peg set to get rid of her frustrations ~ I know it always worked a treat with my daughter who has always been a model of independent challenge from the day she was born, and who is such a precious gift to me as an adult! By the way it may be a comfort for you to know that chocolate coated ants used to be confectionary when I was a child in England but I don’t know if that is still the case now.
