    The Courtyard Marriot at Shin- Osaka is a great hotel. Comfy large rooms, complete with view, modern bathroom, complete with heated seat, bidet, shower/bath. Big screen tv, closet, safe, work desk, slippers, towels, and a robe. The mall underneath has excellent restaurants and you have easy access to transport around. If your exhausted from your flight you have immense food options underneath you, an elevator ride away, or you go to the bar/restaurant areas in the hotel, they also offer a buffet breakfast with both Western and Japanese breakfast dishes, and omlettes ready to order. They have a gym and a pool as well. Will return.

    Greetings. I’m in need of some assistance here. This is the latest update on Marriott The Surawongse The Vilest of Intentions! Vindictively and Viciously Destroying My Life! A Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite Member! Since right after the Covid, I have been staying with this Marriott Hotel The Surawongse, 262 Surawong Road, Si Phraya, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500. Thailand. I alternate between other Marriott chains of Hotels in Thailand from time to time. During the early 2021, the staffs and managers like Enrique were nice, friendly, warm and welcoming. They are aware that I have Enochlophobia, sprouting potentially fatal myocardial infarction, anxiety and panic attacks. Particularly when there’s a huge boisterous crowd. At times, the 2 bedrooms suites they allocated me were on the same floor with the bus load of tourists, with the enormity of human traffics, banging of doors along the walkway, I find myself taking cover inside my car in the underground carpark. The earlier managers are also aware of my noise sensitivity. I was once a Platinum Bonvoy member then and having access to the M Club, I seek quiet and peace there during some mornings when the next door neighbours were busy checking out early to go to the Airport. However, after the turnover of staffs, the good professional management like Enrique has left, especially the nice senior bellmen being replaced by egotistical young muscled thugs strutting around, behaving more like bouncers in a striptease club. They are too arrogant to greet you and have no respect for the younger guest. My son once asked politely to treat his bags with care as the bellman was throwing it around and was rudely rebutted by the repugnant bellman, asking my son “what is his problem” words to the effect. You no longer feel that sense of welcome. No more services from the heart. Towards 2022, services have deteriorated and by 2023 have spiralled downwards into what seems like a putrid fish market. Do not just take my word for it. Read the amount of negative reviews on Google. The Director of Rooms, KK, knows that I am not particularly fond of crowds and I would wait to check in on the second floor lobby of the Conference Room. As far as I can recollect, there were 2 occasions when after making my reservations, the Front Desk couldn’t give me my usual room preference. Which was corner room. I communicated with them over the Bonvoy Application. They informed me that they could only offer me the standard rooms plunged in the middle of the hallway and volunteered to cancel my reservation if I didn’t find it suitable. Which I relented. Another occasion was when I met KK checking her family members into the hotel and she told me that I made the mistake of coming because they’re running high occupancy and would not be able to find a suitable room for me. On these 2 occasions, it was late and having no place to go, I decided to sit out the night and at 6 am have an early breakfast in their cafeteria. It was somewhere in mid July 2023 that my presence was no longer welcomed and I had two security thugs from the hotel confronting me on the second floor and they have the audacity to manhandle me on the pretext that there were no cctv cameras around to provide any evidence or video footage of the assault. The scuffle with them brought us to the Police Station. Instead of apologising for the unfortunate incident or just letting it ride, I received an extremely nasty email NOT from a representative of Marriott Bonvoy or any Marriott International Hotel for that matter but was from an ambiguous, unknown outsource company: Jakob Helgen LUXURY HOTELS & RESORTS (THAILAND) LIMITED. 19th floor, Unit 1905-6, Sathorn Square Office Tower, 98 North Sathorn Road, Silom, Bangrak, Bangkok 10500. Thailand. That nasty email written by Jakob was chiding me, threatening and berating me for berating his staffs! The usual coward response of someone not taking responsibility for their mistakes but chose to turn around and play victim to circumstances they created. He proceeded to threaten me with lawsuits if I ever gave any unfavourable reviews to the establishment. I have since deleted his obnoxious email but am sure the hotel has a copy of it. After that unprofessional email which was not from Marriott, I have never stepped foot into the premises again. That was in July 2023. I have not communicated with them at all. Then for no apparent reason, on November 2023, this Marriott The Surawongse decided to enlist the help of the local police by filing a complaint and lawsuit against me for trespassing in the night! How ludicrous and preposterous can this get?? They have all my necessary contacts, including my phone number, email address and even LINE application but refused to contact me. Instead of settling any misunderstandings amicably, they enlisted the local police to put out the warrant of arrest for me! Imagine my extreme shock when I was returning home to Japan and was stopped at the airport by the immigration authorities! The local police didn’t even contact me for any clarification before putting up an arrest warrant for me! I lost my flight and my hotel reservation for the entire trip! I was treated like a criminal and was horded into the Prison Cell in the horrifying police station for 2 days and nights without sleep or food. The lockup was so filthy in this 3rd world country. There’s no hygiene nor medical care when I suffered a myocardial infarction! This is the VILEST OF INTENTIONS and MOST VINDICTIVE actions undertaken by any Hotels in all my years of Globetrotting! When I counter checked again and again with the Police if there were anything broken caused by me in hotel or was anything missing or stolen, the answer was a resounding NO! THERE WAS NOTHING BROKEN NOR MISSING NOR STOLEN BUT THEY JUST WANTED TO PROSECUTE ME TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW FOR TRESPASSING!!! I AM THEIR LONG TERM PAYING HOTEL GUEST AND JUST BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE ME WITH THE ROOM OF MY PREFERENCE, I STICK AROUND TO REST IN THE QUIET AREA OF THEIR HOTEL!? HOW DO THEY FIGURE I AM TRESPASSING?!? Also, after the nasty email by an ambiguous outsourced company and NOT from Marriott, I have not graced the place with my presence since! So the question is: WHY ARE THEY STILL BULLYING ME?? What’s with this MALICIOUS PROSECUTION? It’s been so many months without incident and now they decided to press charges?!?
