The CN Silver Creek Sub is our proto freelanced Canadian National subdivision. Canadian pacific makes an appearance with running rights to interchange at Beaverton and service Irving Oil past Wellington.
Currently we are rebuilding parts of the layout we aren’t happy with as well as installing CTC.
Full Canadian CTC properly displaying CROR (Canadian Railway Operating Rules) signal indications has proved to be much more difficult and expensive than we could have ever imagined, but we are almost there, custom cantilever signal bridges are currently under development and we hope to be the full CTC in a few months!!
We appreciate your support, cheers and happy modeling!

Sounds amazing 👏 🤩
Thanks Mike!! Scale sound speakers and few custom sounds makes a huge difference
Is the club accepting new members?
No not at the moment
Are those the wehonest signals???
Yes sir
Wow those locomotives in the beginning (9449) had my jaw on the floor with how realistic they looked.
Thank you! I take pride in my CN 4 axel builds 😁
Fantastic video as always! love the layout video do you think we could eventually get a video of your roster that you have?
Yes absolutely!! Coming soon
Nice
Thanks Keenan
Very nicely done!! Wade is an excellent weatherer for sure, he's done a few of my engines and cars.
Thanks Keenan! I enjoyed doing them up for you!
You should do a locomotive roster video.
It’s in the works! Should be out soon
@@SilverCreekSub Nice
@@WesleyEast-RRfan actually going up to film it right now
Limited Clear and Advanced Clear to Slow! Yes yes yes!!! Awesome setup man I’d pay a million bucks for it
😁 I so glad you appreciate all the work! And CTC is now complete, videos to come
Yes yes yes!!! I love CN’s signalling techniques! There aspects make me feel like a professional when I yell them out on the radio. Next up Limited to Restricting lol! Also loved the limited to limited vid!
Yeah budddddddy!! That’s what it’s all about!
Are you running a CN 5394 on the layout or do you have one in your collection?
No unfortunately not, but the SDs will be making a come back in the next year or so, I’m quite excited
Looks like those eBay signals from the WEHONEST seller. Are the hoods as short as they seem in the eBay pictures, from what I saw they aren’t quite as far out as the real ones
Yes they are, and yes they are a little short, but he made me the cantilever custom bridges so it was worth the sacrifice and the price!
@ 8:33... "... you know trucking coors beer east of Texas is bootleggin'... this here's Georgia son"... man that's a cool model!!!!!!
that was a gift from one of the members father, he also built a large scale version for a guy as well!
Superb
Thanks 🤗
Very neat run by! This is going to be a sharp scene when it’s all completed with scenery!
Thanks! And I was thinking the same thing 😁
Glad to see I'm not the only one who derails track cleaning trains😂😂
It happens to all of us
Why 2 cleaning cars? 🤔
One has the pad that comes with the car filled with mineral spirits, the other has a Mr. Clean magic eraser on it
I got the ho cn scaletrains locomotive and it's a beast
Ya man!! They are my favourite 6 axel!! Just awesome!
Cool
thanks
Cool video. I've only derailed once in my life, but in N Scale I lost count of my derailments. 😆
🤣
Horn is a little quiet
Or is the prime mover to loud 🧐
Ya, Wades a talented man. I've seen this in person and it fabulous. I proud to own a GMD-1 he weathered! Nice work Wade! Cheers, Earl
Thanks buddy!!
WTF was that!!!!..... Rookie!.. LOL, Earl
🤣
very nice
Thanks Jim
happens to the best of us !!
lol it does!!
Nice weathering! Just being a bit picky but the business car is the wrong way. Usually all the doors face the same way. But your layout your models
Thanks for the tips! Which way are the doors supposed to be? Facing away or towards the lead unit?
@@SilverCreekSub doors towards the lead unit with business cars in front. If it’s a push pull set, then it can be the same as normal but with a second engine at the back. No need to reverse the direction of the cars.
Once you paint the facia the screws will not be prominent. It would also be easy to pull and replace if you need to get in there and do some work. It looks great. What a wonderful space you have to build your railroad. Everything is looking good.
Thanks you!!
I bet that's a huge relief! So, what's next , or is something already in the works?
Still have 2 more of these bridges to install, then resistor wheel sets on everything. We are also going replace the mains with code 83, and then rebuild and greatly extend staging.
Cool
Thanks!
Awesome signal
More to come
Looks great excellent work 👍🏻 realistic signals brings it all together
Almost there!!
Looking great signals are one thing I know nothing about. 1:1 scale stuff, I'm good. Scale stuff🤷♂️. Are you using resistance wheel sets on all your rolling stock?
Yes sir! Still a long way to go but we have started building the wheel sets
Doing a CTC signal system is a lot of work !!! Great job 👍
It sure is! Thank you!
It sure is!! Thanks!
New Signal Bridge is looking awesome!!
Thanks earl!
😁
You Know It!!!
😁
Love the Gp9rm ❤❤
Me too!!
Great progress, layout looks fantastic
Many thanks!
What type of throttles do the engineers use on this layout?
We use proto throttles with a JMRI wifi throttle over NCE
You should produce a layout tour. From what I have seen it looks like an interesting track plan.
I have had several requests, I will once the layout is final, a big addition and rebuild is coming this fall
Sounds good. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
New to this channel, really have gotten to enjoy these great videos. Very inspiring, keep up the good work to all involved.
Welcome aboard! I’m glad you like them! And thank you!
Hey, curious if your going to get a set of the new Rapido GP9rm's? I'm on the fence because I'm not sure how modern they are...are they still in use up there? Let me know please..thank you sir!
Yes we have a few but they are getting speaker upgrades and weathering before they go on the layout. And to answer your question, there are only a couple of these style left in service, 4028 is one of them, I’m building that unit but it needs a couple of modifications to be made current, but there will be a few on the layout here in the next month or so when I get time to get them done. Cheets
@SilverCreekSub what kind of upgrades? I'm thinking about one set, but haven't pulled the trigger yet...
@@SilverCreekSub also, it looks like it would need to be renumbered as well to 4028? And renumber the slug as well? Hell, I should send mine to you as well...lol
@@ohpoleez Rapido did 4028 in this run, these are the road units, the slug sets I’m not sure if they are still in service or not
@@ohpoleez mine is going to get a new speaker, the frame milled down, ESU power pack mini and rear ditchlights
Do you have a big open space to fill? Fill it with a model railroad! Man...I just love this railroad! 😊
Thank you!! Me too
Mmm Kentucky Fried Chicken
Lol
Tiny correction: those signal rules are called *Advance* not *Advanced* ... there is no D at the end. _Advance Clear to Stop_ _Advance Clear to Slow_ _Advance Clear to Medium_ etc.
This is true but when I call them out on the train I call them advanced, force of habit, but yes you are right
For reference: signals.jovet.net/rules/CROR%20Signal%20Rules.pdf
Subtly showing off several different signal aspects, I see...
More to come
That Speeder is getting worked. 💯
🤣🤣🤣
Knocking down the signal . . . cool. 😎👍
Thank you!
What system do you use for your signals?
We use CATS over JMRI for the full CTC control
