    I know you were in the mindset of saying" you can do it" and you are super smart, but I dont wanna now! You convinced me to not do the swap😅 I have 1993 S10 and I have a complete 2004 full size truck with a 4.8 for a donor. Then, I recently bought a LS1 T56 6 speed manual, and decided to go ahead with doing the swap, but it just seems like way more work than I want to tackle right now. I'm just gonna do a traditional small block and T5- 5 speed for ease. The clearance issues, the wiring for drive by wire, losing all the AC and heater, exhaust issues, chopping the frame, oil pan, brake mods,power steering mods, etc, etc. Its just too much right now. Thank you for your video tho.

    I got all the factory gauges to work in my 94 s10 5.3 swap. It's really not that hard. Check engine and battery light even work. Cruise control also works. Use a coolant temp.sensor from a 98 camaro. Used a oil pressure sending unit for a 02 silverado. LS pcm puts out a 4 cylinder tach signal so it worked with my factory tach.

    Man I have a 2016 silverado and my truck started acting up all of a sudden so im wondering if its electrical. It shifts and all that but accelerating or sometimes at speed its got this shutter. Then sometimes at speed it suddenly gets this deep hard vibration that goes and comes intermittently. Changed the filter and fluid. Trans feels reqlly good and tight. I wonder if its electrical or the damn torque converter

    @jonathancerrato886 there is a plug and play harness if your blazer is 97 or newer. If not they have standalone engine harness but you will need to figure out implementing the gauges. Thats not very hard though they have pinouts for the gauges.

    I would check wheel bearings, tires or tie rod ends. Each one can do that. The tires could have lost a weight but that is rare but I have had tires get old and caused vibrations in the steering wheel while driving and when hitting the brakes.

    Did you keep the original Ecu for other functions

  • @southerngearz
    @southerngearz2 ай бұрын

    No the fueltech is running the whole car. The interior functions still work, "lights, locks and windows" but the dash is dark. It's not going to be a street car so no need for the extra wiring. If you want to keep the dash you'll need something like hondata that works with the factory ecu.

    I ran low on fluid but when I filled it started giving me problems. With the engine light on its 2nd gear all the time. If I clear the code I get 1-2 and 4 it skips 3 and fourth feels like it slips. Is this along the lines of what your issue was? Code reads solenoid B stuck open.

  • @southerngearz
    @southerngearz2 ай бұрын

    Nah mine would stay in 2nd and never shift no matter what. If it is slipping its possible the clutch packs got damaged when it was low on fluid. Its very possible that stuck solenoid could cause this as well. If its stuck open then the pressure for the transfluid wouldnt be enough to keep the trans from slipping. The solenoids are the cheapest option to try first and hopefully the trans is fine overall
