Fantastic video.
Great video! Thanks!!
Been to Camp Chase. Now I have a new place to go!
Thanks for an amazing video!
Wayne, Ironically I watched this video earlier today. Now, the odd thing is that I just opened up a copy of Trust in God and Fear Nothing and saw a handwritten note from you to "Aunt Naomi." It is dated December 27, 1994. There is also a signature from Lewis B. Armistead in the book. Feel free to reach out or comment back. I would like to reach out to Erik Lewis Armistead who is mentioned in the afterward. The video is great by the way. I'm a Toledoan but going to swing by the cemetery next time I am there. Go Bucks!
Thank you Wayne for this great video. I’m in Columbus and heading to Greenlawn Cemetery tomorrow with your video in hand.
What a great idea, nicely done.
Me and my family are staying at Slyder Farm next week. Can’t wait to stay there and enjoy it. Great video Wayne

fantastic video!!! MOTTS AND GWINN rock!
Great lecture. I was astounded that Hooker would go to such lengths to avoid responsibility for the defeat at Chancellorsville. Always thought that while he was personally brave and did the Army much good with his reforms after Fredericksburg, that he had some questionable traits, but didn't realize how much he lacked in integrity.
We would love to rent the farm, will definitely check it out. Thanks, Wayne.😎👍
Awesome video
GREAT VIDEO GF!!!!
Who Garry, he's a bundle of audio energy. Great job!!
Fantastic!
You did a good job of locating where you were standing in the first position, even including a map, but for the second location, nothing much to provide a location.
Very nice.
Bless the soldiers for their sacrifice to us. Very sad they never got a chance to live their lives. Brave soldiers who died on a cold, farm floor.
Great to see Pennsylvania has this wonderful flag center. Well done!
Union designating flags began in 1862 under George McClellan. This was a very complicated system that went from corps down to regiment. This was replaced by the Butterfield system in 1863 which was corps, division and brigade only and that system was modified later in the war but would be in essence the same.
The carrying of two flags by US units started with the Blue Book of Baron Von Steuben. This would change a couple times in the 19th Century before the Civil War through the several drill manuals from two to one and back to two flags - National colors and regimental colors.
The 1861 US flag regulations stated silver embroidered stars. Embroidery was too time consuming to do so they went with gold paint instead.
Samuel Brewer was the original flag maker for the Philadelphia Depot. He continued into the Civil War for a time but others from that city picked up afterwards by Horstmann Brothers, Evans and Hassall and William Schieble. Horstmann's were the largest militaria makers before, during and well after the Civil War into the 20th Century.
My 2nd G. Grandfather, John Henry Hoffman was in the same Company as Sandoe ,He is buried in Gettysburg's National Military Cemetery . Huzzah 21st Pa. Cav. !
Keep bringing the energy Wayne. Love it
So many awesome artifacts and relics. I could sleep in the Visitors Center for the rest of my life!!
Really enjoyed the presentation.
WOW!
Thanks Wayne and Jason. We really enjoy these videos.
Cool video.
Very nice video
Great video gentleman 😎👍
GOD BLESS the medical staffs @ Gettysburg!!!!
Ron Kirkwood's two books on the Spangler farm are important additions to the understanding of medical care during the Civil War. Both are well researched and well written!
Great, another rifle I need to look at buying.
Gen. Hooker created the flag emblems for Corps flags.
I try to give as often as possible to the Battlefield Trust and Gettysburg Foundation.
For your consideration…. David Acheson died on the second day of battle. He was a Captain with the 140th PA Volunteers Company C . He was buried on the field and a large round stone was carved to mark his grave. His family reburied him here in the Washington Cemetery in Washington, PA.
Pvt. Hiram C Hill gravesite, KIA July 3rd on Culps Hill. Was in line near my GG Grandfather 29th OVI and buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Mogadore, Summit Co. OH... Glenwood Cemetery in Akron is jammed full of CW history also.
Don't forget Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland and Johnson's Island in Sandusky Bay.
Can't wait to watch this series, Wayne. As a Columbus native the tour of Greenlawn Cemetery should be very interesting.
Awesome! Can't wait.
This is great. Really looking forward to this!
This is great! Thanks
Fantastic. Can't wait to see this in the future.
Excellent idea!!!
Excellent video. Thank you very much!
