    41% glyphosate sounds strong - I couldn't find that in the UK, but I got 'Rosate 360 TF' = 360g/l glyphosate which doesn't sound so strong. It came with pages and pages of directions for all plant types (except specifically killing grass), but I used 25ml per litre and sprayed that. 3 days later the grass is as green as ever. Have I got this wrong? should I make it much stronger? And do I have to worry about my cat going on the lawn?

    You should be able to tell it to travel the perimeter when charging and going plot to plot Ryan.

    What if you were to replace grass with a total creeping charlie lawn? Would it still have to be cut? What would it look like in winter?

    There is an option under settings to make Luba follow the perimeter when going between station and cutting point. "Direct" or "Follow the perimeter".

    It's my first season with Luba 2 and I also feel that I have to go out with the rotor mower once in a while. Otherwise it's getting messy. My Luba mowing at 40mm.

    some people have put a spacer in to allow the minimum height to come down even lower. might be worth an experiment for your green area.

    This seems like a decent way to do a first cut on new tender grass when you don't want to run a heavy mower over it or walk all over it yet.

    Good review Ryan. I was seriously looking into a LUBA 2 AWD 1000, it was a demo model that was used at home and garden trade fair shows, it was a pretty good deal and hard to pass up, but instead I spent the money on a PRS Silver Sky guitar in Frost White. Maybe next year for the mower. ;-)

    Kentucky 31 is awesome. Ends up a lime green. Really dense and soft like shag carpet. Its the only seed I can start in the spring that will survive the summer heat. I tilled and seeded a portion of yard with Scott's rapid Grass just for comparison. Gave it the same treatment as the K31. Complete dud. After 7 days not a single sprout and you are supposed to see something by day 5. Ordered some more K31 as my local BLowes or Home Ripoff do not carry it for some reason and opted for the Smart Patch bags that could have anything in them. Amazon has me covered though.

    I just picked up a random mower with a camera and I love it. You won't get the stripes, but the grass gets hit at different angles, so very little stragglers.

    Just an FYI - You can set the robot to 'Follow the perimeter' in the settings. This will make sure it does not cut across your zigzag pattern when it is moving on to the next zone or back to the charging station. Great update!

    I feel like rye grass is taken for granted. I had to renovate my new lawn after seeding due to not knowing the builders had dumped gravel and covered it with soild so roots couldn't go below 2 inches in spots. But there are some little patches of rye I have not watered almost the entire summer that are just a deep green, if I had it over the whole lawn would be extremely pleased. But going to give buffalo grass and other native grasses a go since the kbg just really was not pleasant to seed just to immediately die in the heat (obviously compound issues from shallow roots).

    Hey ryan, I’ve recently bought your equalizer fertilizer and noticed after the first application I tried to start my second application two weeks later and noticed that my backpack sprayer wasn’t coming up to pleasure so I could hear the pump going but when I pulled the trigger I wouldn’t get anything out of the nozzle. I did some problem solving and found that the filter inside the tank was completely blocked. I’ve never had that problem and I removed the junk and it continued to work until I noticed that I was loosing pressure mid walk on my application. I checked my filter in the tank and again I saw some buildup on the filter. I’m using the same backpack sprayer that you had before (sprayer plus 105ex) and I wanted to know what I can do to avoid this problem. Thanks

  • @ryanknorrlawncare
    @ryanknorrlawncare3 күн бұрын

    I've never had any issues. You might have really hard water though so that could be an issue. I would try warm water and really agitate it in a bucket like crazy before putting in the sprayer. That way you can also see it when you're pouring in and make sure there's no granules that haven't dissolved.

  • @matthewguarino7780
    @matthewguarino77803 күн бұрын

    @@ryanknorrlawncare thanks for responding so quickly. I do have hard water so that could be the trouble. I’ll try using the warm water and not add the liquid iron so I can tell if everything is broken up. Thanks for your help

  • @ryanknorrlawncare
    @ryanknorrlawncare3 күн бұрын

    Give that a shot and hopefully that helps the issue. Otherwise we do have pHixORR which you can add for hard water if it continues to be something you experience but I'm hoping the warm water and enough agitation will do the trick.
