You might be applying too much pressure when you top coat. Try having more product on the brush and float it over the nail. You can put top coat on thicker than regular gel polish.

This helped so much! I got blank press-on toe nails without thinking i didn't have a damn stand for when it came time for painting these nails!! I didn't have any time to wait on shipping!!! Of course the only stands I found online were from Amazon, which meant waiting a few days on shipping!! So I searched google quite a bit for any thing, any other alternatives and I searched through many videos. All the videos I came across looked way too complicated & or needed a ton of materials I'd have to go out hunting for- didn't have any time for!! But your instructions were easy and super understanding. I just truly appreciate having somebody out there to actually take the time to help others & people like me in need!!! You definitely saved my butt! Bc I needed these for vacation which I was leaving the very next morning and literally had no time to waste/spare! So seriously thank you, thank you , thank you, SO MUCH!!!!!!!

@SadlerUpNails3 ай бұрын
Apparently acetone can dry them out where they break down faster. I’ve heard to use top coat to clean them then just put the cap on so it doesn’t cure. I usually use isopropyl alcohol (acetone if I accidentally cured gel on it).

Or in honor of the eclipse a moon themed set. I just recently bought a globe that has a moon in it. I've always thought the moon is pretty like an opal or giant pearl in the sky. I think a moon themed set with the words "I love you to the moon and back" or just "to the moon and back." Would be so cute.

@@SadlerUpNails Gundam is a giant robot franchise that's been around since the late 70s. They also do model kits for all of the robots that appear in the shows and they are spectacularly designed (called "gunpla" for Gundam Plastic Model Kit). To date, there are several thousand Gundam model kits and they put out a few dozen more every year. There's a huge secondary market of people who make custom decal sets for those models, with companies like Delpi Decals and G-Rework. But really, the process of putting decals on plastic model kits is *identical* to the process for putting decals on nails.
@SadlerUpNails3 ай бұрын
@@rxninja I did a little research on it. They look really cool. How would you adhere the decals to the plastic though?
@rxninja3 ай бұрын
@@SadlerUpNails There are three ways. I imagine they're similar to nails. 1) The most common are decals that come as a sticker sheet, which have their own adhesive. Most kits come with these. Most people hate them. 2) Dry transfer is also a thing. They're pretty rare, but you can theoretically make your own at home. Those, you tape on, rub with your finger to transfer the ink, and then you peel off the plastic that's left. 3) Waterslides. These, you soak in water for a few seconds, then you slide them off the backing sheet and onto the model. When they dry, they're stuck in place. You can also use stuff like Mr. Hobby Mark Setter first, which acts kind of like a glue, but only for waterslides. I don't know, Mr. Hobby is black magic to me. How do you stick foils onto nails?
@SadlerUpNails2 ай бұрын
@@rxninja I’ll have to look into that Mr. Hobby stuff. For nails, most gel polish has a sticky layer after it’s cured, so you stick the decal to that and then apply a top coat. The decals I use definitely need some kind of adhesive or they’ll just peel off after they dry.
