we noticed our calf had undigested milk replacer scours in the morning after oral feeding of the calf the night before can you tell me what or why the calf had a milk colored scours ?

This was very informative, thank you. The research you cited was all really old (1930s!). Is there research that is more recent?

Unfortunately there are very few recent studies on comparing feeding methods for calves but I did include studies from the late 1990's - early 2000's. I reached out to the University of Guelph to conduct a trial in the future, we will see what happens!

lemme gets this straight. the idea behind separating is too keep disease and the spreading of disease down but then u feed all of them with the same mouth thing? good idea but not ready for market yet. keep working on it .

drue j Its not really spit swapping that's the issue. It's when they suck on the tails or navals of other calves and ingest bacteria and feces that may be stuck to their hair.
