This'll be the first mod I do to my '24 Z900 once I get it in a few weeks. M4 sells a slip-on that comes with the mid-pipe too so that's wicked handy.

Honestly when I first rode my 2021 z900 I didn't like it. After quite a few mods and more saddle time, I reckon this bike is the best naked someone can have, particularly if its your second bike. Only grip is that it does not have a down blipper, but you get to experience good old school down shifting with minimal tech intervention. Great bike :)

Not sure if you plan on getting a quick shifter, but the Healtech Quick Shifter is a good product. I just installed it and being able to control everything with your phone on the fly is super convenient and allows you to get the perfect shift timing.

Just did this a couple of days ago. The sound is COMPLETELY different. I love the pops and gurgles. WAY louder LOL. Also, noticeable difference on pulls. The weight reduction alone was worth it. 100% recommend as a first real "performance" mod."

Wouldnt consider the sticker a tramp stamp. More of a identifier than anything, say you were going to sell it, and you no markings, i wouldn't believe you to be honest, but, could have laser engraved and serial number that matched to his data base or something, or even came with sticker to do as you wish with it. But also its buried under stuff, no one will ever see it.

I noticed zero issues myself but a purist might find something to say about it. The only reason I flashed it is because of the cat delete and curiosity, otherwise it was perfect as is. Risk it for the biscuit big dog and remove that box🫡

Got an ECU flash from Moore Mafia and having no restrictions on the z900 is worth it. Also the pops & bangs sound amazing when slowing down or downshifting.

The popping you hear is combustion after the engine because I removed the breadbox. If it was doing this with the breadbox on then yeah id be in trouble.

Clean asf 🔥. Just picked up a 2021 with a full system, upgraded headers, and ecu flash. It’s loud asf and getting rid of the extra weight with the new exhaust makes a huge difference

@@MaximilianKlotzyes you have to, your bike is working as it has catalyzator/breadbox … it means less power and different serving of gas …. If you change headers or do decat, you are tuning physically and you have to tune by software … otherwise you asking for malfunction

Flashed mine late last month. If you plan on blocking the AIS, a cheaper alternative to buying block off plates would be to buy valve caps and plug both ends on the tube. There's a video on here of someone doing so which is how I did mine. But that's of course, if you don't want all the popping from the exhaust.

I have a 2022 Z900. I picked up the same front turn signals but mine have white running lights. I have a full Akropavic exhaust on my bike. You dont absolutely have to flash the ecu when you put a new exhaust because the exhaust your buying was made for your bike. The flash is just to get the max out of the bike and get rid of restrictions that can hamper getting the max from the bike. I spoke to Yoshimura and Kawasaki about this. I will be doing a Dyno tune though this year. I also have the ASV levers. Nice bike bro enjoy

Did you have to connect your control unit and rework software for engine and fuel usage ? My mechanics saying it’s necessary to do it after decat upgrade … its another 400€ for software work

ECU tune is just throwing your money out the window unless you need to get good numbers racing.. street racing most of the time you won't even feel the difference.. however some bikes do get Big gains...

Just a suggestion for some people, but a reciprocating saw would give you a much more accurate cut and the blades are typically cheaper. Also, a lot of people own those compared to and angle grinder so more people to borrow it from for free.

Sooo...tank pads and tank shell, very good, integrated rear indicators? bad. You need to be seen when you turn. Remove the bread box of course. But I suggest bar end mirrors and a small find deflector and I also added two high concentrated mini spotlights which is very useful. I also replaced the headlight bulbs with Xenon bulbs. And for the phone holder (I hate them) I've installed a central 7 inch screen above the dash which connects to my phone so I got good visibility and my eyes are always on the road. And I got a SC slip on too. I think this video is not giving good advice for usability. Oh and yes, my levers switch upwards, not forwards. Much better design.

Yeah it probably will be because all an aftermarket exhaust has different is the catalytic converter is gone. The only difference should be the sound, so if you think a straight pipe is loud you might want to either keep the breadbox on with the crt or remove it and keep the stock slip on
