Omg, that was just amazing. The perfect comedy routine, the two of them. And also such pathos.

This is all just GOLDEN!! Ali was EVERYTHING!! Brilliant; a man of his convictions; fearless; handsome; hilarious … oh, and he also just so happened to be the greatest boxer of all time! Simply irreplaceable.

What I love about Muhammed Ali is he spoke it into existence but always remained respectful, unlike some other fighters

That preemptive eulogy on Ali by Cosell summed up the mood before the Foreman fight, the sporting journalists really did think Big George would bring down the curtain on Ali's career in a most undignified brutal manner and it pained them to even contemplate what they thought was inevitable. It shows what a terrifying figure George was at that time and just how even though the experts thought Ali was special, the term 'Greatest' was still only his self-professed moniker.

Ali, should've never turned his back on Malcolm X! Malcolm X discovered that his leader was false! He would have many children from different women! Dr, Martín Luther King was real in regards to his speeches on equality to all men and women! The 60tys was very in just to black women and men! I can only imagine the nightmare, Abuse, The Black African people who were stolen from Africa and brought to The U.S. and sold, & raped, mistreated, looked upon as property! This was Pure Evil!

I heard his name in Moscow, Russia in 1980. They said he could kill the Bull with one punch. They were talking about the Zair fight. The information reaches there a bit later than other parts of the world. 😀😃

They BOTH had mutual respect for each other. They both were unique and super intelligent. Howard Cosell admired Ali, and Muhammad Ali had respect and even affection for Howard. Their interviews were real and Historic. They were Black and White, on Equal terms. It was true admiration and respect on both sides. Thanks for these clips of history.

I done handcuffed lightning, thrown thunder in jail! That's bad! Only last week, I murdered a rock, injured a stone, hospitalized a brick, I'm so mean I make medicine sick! Bad! Fast! Fast! Fast! Last night I cut the light off in my bedroom, hit the switch was in the bed before the room was dark! Fast! And you, George Foreman, all of you chumps are gonna bow when I whup him, all of you! I know you got him, I know you got him picked. But the man's in trouble, Imma show you how great I am!" -Muhamed Ali

He just wasn't the greater boxer! He was a real person! He gave up his Title in, his prime for his beliefes that all men and women are equal! His last fight vs Tiger Williams was art! When he returned to boxing he was still a excellent boxer! Just not the same as 3 years ago. Ali was Great and is still my favorite boxers.
