Heading to NYC June 14th-21st would love to ride with some of the messengers for a day.

Whatever you do, remember that they are WORKING. They are not tourist guides. If you have not been a messenger somewhere else for a good period of time, not just a few months, do not expect them to be welcoming to an outsider, it is a community that is welcoming to their own from other places, but distrustful of outsiders, and believe me, they can tell if you walk the walk. Most importantly, do not try to follow a messenger around, through traffic. That gap they take may only exist for the moment it takes for them to take it, and they certainly don't want to be responsible for anyone's life but their own.

bro be carefull those messengers shaped their skills by working in one of the worlds most intense cities. following an nyc messenger will kill either you, or worse you'll send a mom with her baby off the street.

This idealizing of bicycles, yeah,a complete bs!! I ride every single day,365 days per year, not because I think that bike is something "God given" but because, I have a serious dislike of almost anything motorized!! Maybe not dirt bikes ☺️ In all honesty, bicycle is a very uncomfortable device, nothing to be glorified! Our bodies are made for walking, not cycling!! I don't want more cyclists on the streets, because I don't like people very much! 🤣 I prefer just me,and the empty road or a trail! Greetings from the everyday cyclist from Croatia! Every single day, the whole year long! Peace ✌️😎

    1. the point is that a bike is something fundamental human because it's still powerd by your self nobody else. 2. just because somthing has a motor, doesn't mean it's bad. you disklike the people driving it in your city. 3. seems like you ride the wrong bike 365 days a year. go do a bikefit bro. bikes should not be uncomfortable. 4. actually we are more build for cycling than sitiing so do a bikefit and live a normal life. 5. more cyclists mean more public safety on bikes, less bike crime and more community. you're just pissed on your uncomfortable bike because you never did a bikefit. 6. Go cycling in the croatian trails alone then. nobody forces you to be social. nobody needs you to be a hyper individualistic self centered tool aswell.

Bicycles are non jarring like swimming not walking and running.

you have your reasons and everyone has their reasons to ride a simple machine called Bicycle. Clearly you did not understood the concept of a documental movie. Nobody is trying to define anything for yourself or anyone else but just showing here personal perspectives, experiences, vibes etc. Nobody is like you and not everyone is like you but I guess you'll learn with age that the world doesn't go around your belly... not about yourself. Is beautiful to hear stories like this, and connect with people and meet their stories and souls. p.s.: I do completely affirm that I am not interested in your reply or engage further with this. Ride safe.

Remember when The Toor de France 🇫🇷 came through my hometown in Brighton, England as a one off in the 90's. didn't realise the tremendous noise all those bikes made & great speed, whizzing past. It was in the mid to late 90's, memorable times. Miles a cool chap "look at me, look at ME" Got the job 👏🏼👏🏼😁
