Make such a video about India.

Some parts of this video were good. Maybe the best was showing evidence that for outlier groups, their cultural, rather than their economic, policies are the most important in determining which party they'll vote for. However, this video ignores so many things that it's frankly ridiculous. 1. It is essential to look at voting procedures, which can broadly be divided into two groups: winner-take all (first-past-the-post) OR something like proportional representation or ranked choice voting. Ignoring how the former favors two main parties is lazy. Simply adding 2 more parties to the US will make almost no difference if winner-take all (first-past-the-post) is used to determine the victor in single-candidate constituencies. 2. There is plenty of coalition building that takes place in US politics as well as in other "two-party systems". It generally focuses on intra-party rather than inter-party coalitions. In the US and other "two-party systems", there is a great deal of intra-party coalition building. 3. Mentioning Mike Pence as any kind of national leader is just plain stupid. He has never had any national following. He was chosen as a nothing-candidate to be vice president. Mentioning him as a possible leader, even in a hypothetical case, shows us the low quality of the poll and research that this video relies on. 4. The four main political currents that this video mentions are, in fact, represented in various ways by the two main US parties. There are all kinds of regional variations: a left-of-center candidate in New York or San Francisco is not the same as one in Alabama. This is often obscured by the intra-party coalition building that inevitably takes place in "two-party systems". 5. The video constantly confounds "parties" and "candidates". The video says, "There is no one to represent these two groups," which is false. It is true that the center of each of the two main parties is not in the upper left or the lower right quadrant, but in the US, people vote not for a party but for a candidate, and there are, contrary to what this video claims, many candidates in each of these two quadrants. This is especially true for Democrats who are, by national standards, more conservative than the party as a whole. This also used to be true several decades ago for Republicans who were more liberal than the national average for the GOP. The contrast with the UK (the home country of the narrator) is relevant here. In the UK system (and more generally in Westminster type and parliamentary systems as a whole), for elections to the legislature, people vote for a party, not for a candidate. This is one reason why often candidates can be shifted from one constituency to another. It's also why, in general, prime ministers are elected indirectly (as is the case with the US) than directly. Generally, it is the party in the legislature with the majority or plurality of seats which is asked to form a government. Many Europeans themselves are unaware that they have indirect elections of their prime minister; they mistakenly believe that the US does (via the Electoral College) but that they have direct elections of their head of government. In general, they do not. The narrator ignores that there is a considerable degree of variation in the US even among the same party. The system of primary elections is one means that tries to bridge this deviation from the stated, official platform of a party and the actual politics of candidates on the level of the local constituency. It allows people in that constituency to choose as their candidate from among people with a wide range of positions. The narrator, by constantly confusing "party" and "candidate" (a confusion which would be less of a problem in a system like the UK's where there is less intra-party variation than in the US, and far less of a problem in European parliamentary systems with proportional representation, where there is even less intra-party variation, but more inter-party variation), continually sees gaps and absences ("there is no party for this quadrant of political values!!!"") when there are, indeed, candidates for those various combinations of liberal and conservative, economic and cultural.

Form two or three new States where the citizens can be properly represented and therefor gain their Constitutional rights. These three new States would help balance the diversity of State land masses as well as having each new State consist of similar local geographies so their special interests can find representation at the Federal level. Don't loose the opportunity presented by a new Federal restructure to accomplish this overdue restructuring. The East Coast is made up of many smaller States while the West has much larger States. This needs to be re-balanced for fair Federal representation of the People. Idaho could take on or give up land as needed to find an optimal outcome. Currently the people living in these areas have no effective representation and are therefore economically compromised by no fault of their own. Fixing this problem is long overdue and should be sponsored at the Federal Level as part of it's authority to Regulate Interstate Commerce, which is an enumerated responsibility.

The conservative, hard working, people of Oregon are sick and tired of paying taxes to a controlling government who "hates" them and "their way of life" The purple hairs in Multnomah County needs all the taxes from conservatives to construct Gov Kotex's new California. Everything from our water, gardening, cattle ranching, and our 2A rights are constantly under attack. Javier Milei, President of Argentina said it best "They will use your very own taxes to destroy you and your way of life". Phuk Kotex and her ilk. They are in "control" and will likely roadblock this endeavor to join Idaho. Were like a mother of 3, being raped in our beds at night by an illegitimate government. We are being suffocated in Oregon and warned to be quiet. We cant defeat the ballot printing commies in Multnomah County who use Mail In ballots to remove any equity of the people. WE MUST STOP MAIL IN BALLOTS IN OREGON

I'm waiting for something like this in Minnesota, where a "greater Minnesota" or "Wester Minnesota" statehood has been talked about. The Twin Cities of Minnesota are overwhelmingly Democrat, the western two thirds of Minnesota is overwhelmingly Republican.

Let's tell the truth. Women are realizing it adds no value to their lives to go from taking care of themselves, paying their own bills, pursuing their interests, and enjoying their communities to becoming domestic slaves for men- to clean up after them, raise their kids, have no time for lives or interests of their own anymore, and often STILL having to work full-time jobs. And then after they waste their best years doing all of that, men leave them for younger women and fight them in divorce courts. That's ON TOP OF living under a late-stage dystopian crapitalist empire that has absolutely no safety net and refuses to even provide basic things in return for our taxes like healthcare and affordable housing. Yet people are still confused about why birthrates are falling? 😂 Make it make sense.

Voting works when all votes are counted, but that has is not happened in recent years. Problem we have is our government will not and can not investigate vote fraud from within the government system which is corrupt. Corruption is embedded in government. Corporations get their mandates from their creditors and not We the People.

😮 that would literally be the MOST STUPID thing America could do… if Texas or California succeeds from the nation it will leave everyone including Texas and California hyper vunrable to attack from Russia and China. America needs to get its head out of it butt, and open its eyes to our external threats from abroad.

ADJUSTING STATELINES is Hogwash. it started sometime around the turn of the century with the populist movement and this came out two or three times since then. There are four major legal hurdles and short of a civil war it ain't going to happen. the last time a major county pulled out of a major state was West Virginia that was a civil war. there's too many hoops to jump through. It's *BS and it's not even original.

America has through much of its history accepted immigrants. The recent efforts by the right wing to demonize immigrants has been counterproductive. It has been the free acceptance of immigrants, Mexicans, Canadians, Irish, Chinese, Moslem, Jewish, that has allowed America to not just survive but thrive and remain a superpower.
