Hello there. My name is Nick. I am hoping to bring to you some footage of me shooting. I enjoy all forms of hunting and shooting, so you may get videos of anything from Driven pheasant shooting to ferreting. I hope you do enjoy my videos.
All comments and questions welcome.
All the best

Interesting re the chokes and cartridges, thanks. I just find I need more pellets, so in my moderated 20 gauge I use 7.5s with 28grm. it's fixed full choke which keeps the pattern very tight. I miss way more than I would like, but then you're still a youngster 😀
Hi again; re the 28 gauge, what choke and cartridges do you use?
Hello Harry. In the 28 bore I use 3/4 and full choke. The cartridges I have found best with this choke combo are Gamebore regal game 25g 5's fibre.

Probably my PC, but not seen you on here for a while. Blinding day. Well done that man
Thanks buddy. Yes it's been a while since I uploaded anything. Hope to have a few more videos soon. Thanks for watching.
Well done that man. Top darts. quite a number of single shot which means they are coming from a distance at a guess
@theessexhunter1305 thanks buddy. Yeh they were coming nicely from the top of the bank and down the hedge line.
Good stuff fella, l shot 246 on barley, shot cover crop next to it so I could pick everything 👍
@Apocalyptic656 good work mate.
They came in nicely buddy, I meant to ask you, how you finding that 28 bore? Is the Maxis inertia or gas, I can never remember? Reason for asking is the last time I used Fiocchi pigeon 32's they kicked badly in my M2.
Hi Richard. Yeh love the 28 bore. I did shoot maybe 8 or 10 with it on this day but didn't record the shots. The Maxus is Gas operated. Inertia will always kick a bit more. Those cartridges are awesome. I just bought 500 of the new ones with the bio cup. Looking forward to trying them out.
👍🏻
Mega day bud! They decoyed in beautifully!! 🔥
Good to meet you yesterday at Coley's open day, we couldn't swap numbers unfortunately, you'll have to come up for a pigeon in Oxfordshire at harvest on the OSR stubble?
What shotgun is that?
Can i come with you next year?
Awesome work great to see just wondering do you have a recommendation on a steel cartridge
Hi there. Sorry for the delay in replying. Steel cartridges, I love the range from Fiocchi. That's what I was using on my canada goose video. I also highly rate the game bore super steel 32g 4s or the mammoth 36g 3s and 1s.
What side by side have you got? Is the Citori your first gun?
Hi Richard. Sorry for the slow reply. My side by side is an AYA Yeoman and that was my first gun. Followed by the Citori.
Great video mate, keep them coming 🙂
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching.
Awesome roost shoot bud! Thanks for sharing it 👍👍
Cheers Rob. It was a great session.

Some cracking doubles there mate! Lovely to see the dog work included. Thanks for posting🐾🐾👍👍
What a great session mate, some cracking shots. Your little dog...what a star, a credit to you👍
Thanks for the kind words mate. Yeh she's a cracking dog. Not the most steady dog but she's a great all rounder .
Looks like you need a harder challenge👍
Where abouts in Scotland did you go mate
Based near Kelso but we drove around a fair bit to where we shot. Don't know exactly where we were. We just followed the guide. One morning we drove an hour and a half to the field.
The dogs running in spoiled it for me.
Mighty bit of shooting there! Thanks for posting 👍👍
Thanks Mark. Very happy with how I shot. We all shot well to be fair. The choke and cartridge combo seems to work wonders. Thanks for watching.
@@TweedsandPheasants I'm considering a Maxus 2. Guessing you're happy with yours? Lethal with it!
@markbutler1616 thanks mate. Yeh I love it. 30 inch barrel so she's a long gun but works for me. Had a play with different chokes and 1/4 seems to be doing the business for everything.
@@TweedsandPheasants nice one mate. Quarter choke for definite👍👍🦆🦆
Trousers are they Nick?
Hello mate. They are Browning XPO bib and brace. Highly recommend. Comfy, waterproof and warm. Thanks for watching.
G'Day, I recently bought one of these Belgian folding .410 shotguns. Looking forward to trying it out. Is yours chambered for 2" or 21/2" cartridges? Cheers, Steve
Lovely day mate
Cap and sunglasses come to mind 🙄
How do you find the Browning against the Beretta auto you once had? You weren't tempted with a Benelli then?
Hi mate. The Maxus 2 has been brilliant so far. I had my heart set on a A400 before the maxus but when I went and held one the maxus felt a bit nicer to hold. The A400 felt very chunky but that's just my personal opinion. I've never had an inertia auto so didn't even really look at a Benelli.
It's just the cleaning on a gas auto that puts me off, I remember masses of black cake... Switched to a M2 a while ago, pleased with it but I preferred the Vinci I had before it.
@richardtimms8733 yeh I know what you mean. I just clean the rubbish off frequently and not let it build up. I did quite like the look of the Franchi to be fair.
@@TweedsandPheasantshello good videos i have hunting videos on youtube
Well done brother 👍
Cheers mate.
👍 😀 you’re a better shot than a Pike fishing man 😉
Why set up in the feild, hedge row next to you 🤔, don't make sense...
The reason for this was it gave us the safest and best angles to shoot due to a foot path and a railway track. Also, when I found the birds feeding the day before they were right in the middle of the field so I wanted to be in the middle. One final reason was it was really comfy led down lol. Thanks for watching.
7:10 Great shooting 👌
Unforgettable morning.. giant Honkers! 💪
It was mega.
Great little session there gents. Well done.
Cheers mate. I watched your vid this morning. What a morning you and Dewayne had.
Great shooting what gun are you using?
Thanks mate. It's a Kofs. Thanks for watching.
In the US bow hunting (deer) and Turkey hunting is a big deal, so…30 yds vs 35 yds vs 40 yds vs ….maybe 45 yds is a big deal.
Lovely
I've been shooting a 28 for 50 years once you try a 28 your hooked
How are you picking those birds.. Mmmmmm and a bottle of champagne, i would of left them to eat the crop, looking at your shooting and your set up a bit Mickey Mouse👎
Vomitive!
you shot very well well done.
Another awesome video
Some high birds there, little crosses in the sky! 👍🏻 On most driven pheasant KZread vids they're on the end of the barrel and very blown to pieces 👎🏻
Most of those looked well out of range, or was it the camera?
In range but just extreme. Need to have the right tools for the job. I had the tools just not the accuracy lol.
Some big birds there my friend
To good for me mate lol
@@TweedsandPheasants I’ve been under a few of those this season and got found out 😂
@@MrJonRose I thought I was a relatively good shot but these are another level.lol.

after 5 mins 48 sec goes dark :(
Yes Terry I don't know what went wrong. That was pretty much the end if the video anyway. Not sure why it has a few minutes of a black screen. You didn't miss anything buddy.
Nice shooting! 👍🏻
