    Wearing a white belt doesn't mean you ARE a white belt... Moreover, they don't have other belts until brown I think... Anyway, all the throws of his opponent are coming out of nowhere, it's a pleasure to watch.

    From age 12 all Judo-ka are white belts . To obtain the rank of Sho Dan they must first earn points competing against other white belts of the same or similr age at the monthly Tsukunami Shia held at the Kodokan and then perform Nage-no-kata and gain a passing grade.

    That SHOULD be the hallmark of a black belt IMO: applying the student -pensum techniques out of nowhere from a variety of angles and positions with subtlety. However, many western schools nowadays seem to be pretty lax with their standards and I've come across some "black belts" that fight like green belts (middle of the way to black). Edit: I blame sports-oriented training, i.e. "you only need to get good at one technique !" and other nonsense.

    Believe me, he is. Every time I rolled with someone who was so much better than me but allowed me to walk around and feel around (as this guy is doing), I got so much better at awareness and positioning, even if it doesn't look that way. What the white belt needs to do is go fight other white belts after this encounter.

    Lovely randori, and exactly the right attitude shown by both guys... resist by all means, but if the attacker's technique is good enough, let yourself be thrown. The one thing I am curious about is this: I thought the typical grip in Japanese Judo is a left-handed grip (left hand on lapel, right hand on the sleeve), and that this is because the right arm is usually the stronger one. Am I correct about this or not? Here, both these guys were predominantly using a right-handed grip (right hand on lapel, left on sleeve).

  • @nucopia
    @nucopia2 жыл бұрын

    Right handed players will almost always grip the lapel with the right hand and the sleeve with the left ,the opposite is true for left handed players..

    Oh no!!! Why did they do that? I hope there's a way to flag other landlords about tenants who are like that. There should be a way to rate tenants/landlords as well like in airbnb so we can be made aware of the background of the tenants. I'm so sorry, Bryan. This is heartbreaking. P.S. Love the new kitchen! Hope the remodeling gets finished soon.

  • @nucopia

    The reason I think was because of drugs and other criminality...the property manager took them to the court and they lost the bond they paid ($800aus held by gov authority ) and a judgment was made against them for full damages ..they were also put on a national list of bad tenants, so will have a very hard time renting a property again.. still I lost income and we have spent a very large amount to repair and renovate the property..disappointing but it happens some times..

  • @PausePraySimplify
