G'day, we're Beth & Paul from Australia and we love living in Queensland!
When Paul retired in 2020, we set out on a 6-month South East Asia adventure.
This is when we began making little videos and posting them up to KZread.
However, our timing wasn't great - with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic less than a month into our travels.
When the pandemic eased, we moved from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, where we live a peaceful lifestyle surrounded by nature, grow many of our own fruits and vegetables, and enjoy free-range eggs from our chickens and honey from our bees!
Nowadays, we mainly travel around our region to show you the natural beauty of South East Queensland. Our aim is to make you feel like you're exploring these places with us 🤗
We continue to make little videos and invite you to follow along as we make regular trips and take our cameras to share our way of life and travel experiences with you......
We aim to post our videos fortnightly 😊

Beth and Paul, you are so right about Eudlo. I visited for the first time this week and it's gorgeous. Stunning drive from Pomona. Hey! We're your neighbours, and you're now subbed! 🎉
We’re so happy to hear that you loved it! Pomona is also a favourite town of ours. We always pick up some delicious sausages that the butcher makes there 😊
@@BethandPaultravel The Pomona Butcher is terrific! Thanks to you both for showcasing the beautiful and stunning country we have the amazing luck to live in. We've followed up on your suggestions. Love your vids!

Wow, what a wonderful life time of memories you must have….it would have been a very different place in the 50’s! We love going to Bribie…..sometimes the simplest of places are often the best ❤️

Aw, you two look so happy!
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely life with us! Hi from Derbyshire uk 😊 my husband and I would love to move over to queensland maybe your way one day.. Is it super quiet up there. We are a young family early thirtys x
Thanks for watching our videos 🤗 There are areas in the hinterland (where we live) that are very quiet. However, the towns close to the coast are fairly busy nowadays. We’re looking forward to driving through the UK next month 😊
So glad to see a recent reply from you 😊. Have a great time in te UK. See you when you get home ❤😊❤. @BethandPaultravel
You didn’t mention where you got that sandwich, not Landsborough. Anyway thanks for showing off my little town. I live at Mount Mellum and love it there, but I have never gone into the museum. Will definitely go and visit now. That playground is a favourite for my grand children too, it’s fantastic. Isn’t Landsborough so nice and neat, that’s another aspect I love about it and we have everything we need here, including nice people. ❤
Thanks for watching! The sandwiches came from Jacorey in Robertson Street, Fortitude Valley 😊
I ❤ your beach 🏝️ 🇦🇺🍀🌈
I went to Montville on holidays beautiful, beautiful views not much night life though.
You are both amazing love your show
Thanks so much 🤗
I’m so fortunate to live 10 kilometres down the road from Coolum
Hi guys, my husband @toobad88 Trevor was in touch 5 months ago and you kindly gave him a lovely hinterland itinerary to follow. We are now settling in to life on the sunshine coast and loving life here, just like you! We saw the pademelons at Mary Cairncross and a platypus in Obi Obi creek, all thanks to your suggestions. We look forward to more videos from you, they are great 😃👍
Thanks Bronwyn, it’s great to hear that you’re enjoying life on the Sunshine Coast and that our videos have been useful ❤️ As you would be realising, Winter is especially great with mild and sunny days ☀️ and chilly overnights. It’s one of the reasons we moved here from Melbourne 21 years ago. Have a terrific weekend 🤗
Thanks you for wonderful beach
One of our favourite places to eat. They cater to vegans too. Been going here for a number of years and it never fails to impress.
Thank you for taking the time to comment 🤗 We had a beautiful lunch and can’t wait to go back ❤️
Nice one Paul and Beth
Thanks Lisa 🤗
I was in Montville just over 12 months ago. Beautiful town, i want to live there i loved it so much....one day maybe.
It is a beautiful town, we took some friends from Melbourne there last weekend and they loved it 🤗
Great video , reminds me of a birthday lunch I had there a few years ago ,was a great experience then , you didn't mention the dragon lizards that would run under the table ? .
Hi Yvonne 🤗 yes, there were water dragons running around ….there were a couple of still ones in the video….but they’re not as noticeable when they stay still 😉
I walk past here every second weekend but have only walked out along there once. I guess you can become complacent about places you take for granted. Love seeing the area I've called home since 1988 through your vlog.
Thanks for watching Donna 🤗
Hey lovely couple;) We've moved to Sunshine Coast 5 months ago and found your channel. Obviously, there are lots of things that we are gonna learn from you about the area 😉 who knows may be we see each other somewhere sometimes 😉 Take care of each other;)
Congratulations! We hope you are very happy here 🤗 We hope our channel is useful and please come and say ‘hi’ if you see us out and about ❤️
Thank you for this vlog. We had bookings for almost the same date to go to Vietnam via Singapore. We weighed up whether to go and decided to stay in Brisbane until it "blew over". We had no idea that things would escalate so quickly. Listening to your experiences was difficult to hear. Glad I've found your channel and I'm slowly catching up with your story from the beginning.
Thanks for watching Donna 😊 who would have thought the world would change as it did? We hope to go back to Hanoi one day…it’s such a beautiful city ❤️
@BethandPaultravel we are also planning on fulfilling the journey to Singapore and Vietnam we had planned. In the meantime we purchased a van and did a Lap of the Map for a year; and have recently returned from a three month meander along the Murray River. Just watched your Sunshine Coast episodes and if the weather improves next week we're going up there over the Gateway Bridge for a drive 🚗 😀
That would be great Donna…we’re in Maroochydore right now and it’s a sunny 25c ☀️
What a beautiful place you live in thankyou for your travel blogs😊
Thanks so much Susan 🤗
So amazing videos
Thanks for watching 😊
I've loved seeing this video. I was eating ice cream for dessert while watching yous eat breakfast. Those fish and chips look delicous. Autumn is so beautiful in Toowoomba also. Beautiful sunny days. Not liking the cold. I often take the dog for his walk at 4:30 in he afternoon. Just before the sun sets really. Always plenty of people out walking. What a lovely Friday night tradition you guys have.
Thanks Imogen🤗It’s great to hear from you!
❤Enjoy living life in the simplest of ways.
Thanks Anita ❤️
Thank you for the video! Great!
Thanks for watching!
Hi Beth and Paul, went to find it today, is it along a dirt road?
Hi Patricia 🤗 There’s a sign to turn off the Maleny Kenilworth road onto a bitumen road and yes, it does turn into a dirt road not too far down. The swimming spot is very close to the picnic area and car park. Does that help at all?
@@BethandPaultravel yes thank you. We turned back as we thought it wasn’t right but will make another trip now. We did the fig tree walk on areas. Thank you.
@@patricialongworth2520 Great 😊 The fig tree walk is great. We were a bit concerned when we first went on the dirt road but it was in good condition and fine ☀️
We spent quite a lot of time up at Montville. Close friends of ours lived there for many years. We have cuckoo clock from the shop up there.
How wonderful! The cuckoo shop is so unique….what a great souvenir!
I've just found your site and love it that you're from Queensland as I am. It makes a lovely change from the USA and European sites. I live in Toowoomba and enjoy the sunshine coast.
Hil Marie 🤗We ❤️ Toowoomba! We’ve been to the flower show a few times 🌺🌼🌸
Thank you Beth and Paul for this video, you reminded me of a wonderful memory. My husband and myself spent our honeymoon in and around Montville in 2012, we walked up and down both sides of the main road and had a ball looking at all the shops and the nooks crannies of Montville. We were also lucky enough to be able to venture a little further out and visit some of the amazing pottery galleries, one of which I brought my potters wheel from. Montville won our hearts in those days and is still very much loved, even though I cannot get up there anymore. Montville is one of the places I always suggest to people that over here from overseas as a must go place.
Thanks so much Pamela, that’s such a lovely story to share ❤️
Thankyou Beth and Paul after watching your video it inspired us to visit there what an awesome place and yes I did buy a small cuckoo clock and some sweets from the shop you went to ❤
That’s great Susan! 🤗
Thank you, guys!🙏
Another nice video. Your private paradise is a nice contrast to the hurdy gurdy of Kuala Lumpur malls food-courts. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 🤗 That’s true, although we do ❤️ the difference that we experience in KL too.
Thanks for the video tour helping my dreams emerge 🥰
We’re so happy you enjoyed it!
Are you at the dulong lookout or somewhere else. This was a nice video even though I live here haha 💙 I love Priscillas. She now has a food license and a lot more going on. Priscilla, flossy and Chad are great 👍
Hi Ruth 🤗 No, we’re at the lookout along the Maleny to Montville stretch of road. Yes, Priscilla and Chad doing an amazing job! How lucky are we to live in this beautiful region? ❤️ Thanks for watching!
Well I can only hope it has improved since the last time I was there. I thought it was over priced and didn’t live up to hype
We’re sorry to hear that, as you can see from our video, we had an incredible lunch and the service was spot on ❤️
It’s a delightful place to live.. We live a very similar life .. just the other side of the world.. retirement has got good sides.. 😂😂💞🥰to youbothxxx
Beautiful home and yard you both living in. Love it! Show us more about the bee house you have there. What system you have? I saw one called " Hive Flow " , super fantastic system but cost arm and a leg😢😢
Hi Jules, thank you, we’re so pleased you enjoyed our video 🤗 Yes, we have Flow Hives, they are an Australian invention made by a father and son who are passionate about bee-keeping. They do cost a lot more but we knew nothing about bee-keeping when we started and the Flow Hives make it simple for beginners. The purchase of the hive includes a very simple series of bee-keeping video lessons and ongoing support. The Flow Hive takes all the hard work out of extracting the honey and there’s no mess! We did a video called ‘Our Hinterland Summer’ which shows us extracting our first lot of honey 🍯 we think you might enjoy watching that 🐝 it is possible to buy Flow Hives from the company which are not 100% perfect and may need an extra couple of screw holes, etc but nothing major wrong with them. We did this when we bought our 2nd hive and saved a lot of money 🤗
Loved this video guys. Particularly the footage of Molly, reminds me of my old Puggie Ellie Mae, she lived to 13.5 and is missed every single day!! Cherish every moment with dear old Molly!
Ellie Maé is such a great name for a pug! And yes, Molly is very much part of the family ❤️ Thanks for watching, we’re really happy you enjoyed it 🤗
What a beautiful video! Loved hearing the birdsong and having a virtual tour of your lovely garden and the hinterland. Mooloolaba was our favourite beach when we visited! It’s been very wet and cold in England but finally warming up… Have a good week both 🤗
Thanks Juke. We hope you and Steve are going well. It’s getting cooler here now 22-25c in the day and 15c overnight. We don’t mind the cooler weather though…it’s nice to have the wood fire going in a month or so 😊
@@BethandPaultravel Thanks, we’re both doing well. We’re off to Holland and Copenhagen soon so looking forward to that.Yes the Queensland winter is idyllic 😀🥰
How stunning...a gorgeous life indeed 😍
Thanks for watching Peter 🤗
