  FINALLY. It works on Hogwarts Legacy, guys! Maybe you'll need to disable windows defender before getting in the game, or removing the game's dll from WD's history.

  You cannot touch the compatibility mode. When you push the "play" button in the launcher of Cities Skylines you have the following message: An Error Occurred: The Game/CitiesSkylines.exe appears to have crashed or terminated unexpectedly (exit code null). The issue may be solved by verifying the integrity of your game files and deactivating any mods. If you use Windows, you may need to install Visual C++Redistributable and .NET framework. Note: When that message popped up, all mods and DLC was turned off (unsubbed), and I also verified the integrity of the game files. Windows 8 does not support C++Redistributable and .NET framework, that is why the message would pop up, Windows 10 does. I myself have a Windows 11. So, it only popped up because I turned on Windows 8 compatibility mode or lower (think about Vista and lower even). You can turn it off, and sure then the game will start again, but basically, turning on the compatibility mode is a square 0 that brings you back to square 1, as soon as you turn your compatibility off. It gets you nowhere. Too that the list of compatibilities starts from Windows 8 and lower. There is no Windows 10 or Windows 11 version to make the game compatible. Cities Skylines never ran on Windows 8 or lower, naturally it is logic that this error message popped up. The game can be compatible as far as Windows 10, which is already the version that you can buy on Xbox One PC game pass or the Windows Store itself. I don't have to tell you that the Game pass version without the mods, but with DLC runs as smooth as butter! But the Steam version doesn't. The compatibility option needs a Windows 10 option in order for it to work, which is not the case, it only goes Windows 8 and lower, so there is absolutely no reason to do compatibly!

  ‏‪I fixed my game 2 times already in a year period and it broke for the third time last week i tried everything and one time it opened randomly during i tryed to fix it and then again didnt open anymore i just didnt play anymore even tho its my favorite game i didnt play for 6 days then i had a update to the game i completed it and the next day decided to try open it and it worked everytime i dont know why fr Maybe they fixed the problem in the update i had the intilizaing for ever problem and then not opening problem i hope it work for u all!🤝

  FYI this is going to use more system resources to do it this way. If you are playing notoriously poorly optimized for PC games by Ubisoft this is not a good fix. The solution i found worked the best is dont play ubisoft games until they fix this shit. Vote with your wallet.
