I used to think Doom needed Hi-RES textures to be better. I hope you can all forgive me for my mistake.

@@DARTHVRNET ahhh good point. so sad.
Hey. First time subscriber. Is that the BG Music from Time to Kill i hear? Thanks for the nostalgia.
Is this a full game?
The first episode only.
@@DARTHVRNET thx you
Thank you! It's pretty good :)
alien invasion coming soon
I aprecciate your good will to show people this classic yet forgotten game. In my childhood I beat this game and was really happy about it. That is all I can recall right now. I hope that some guys like Nightdive Studios will give another chance to BLOOD II.
Thanks, I'm glad you like my content. I play these games mainly because I like to remember them, or try the ones I couldn't back in the day, and by the way I bring the gameplay to my channel to, precisely, awaken the good memories these games left to other people :) And I try to do it with the best visual quality possible.
@@DARTHVRNET You might like System Shock 2, another hidden gem from 90s
@@DARTHVRNET Can't wait for remaster that Nightdive promised years ago...
@@MrWhitetulip Yes, the Nightdive remaster is taking its time. By the way, sorry I answered you in Spanish, I didn't realize XD
Contact that guy who created this modification to create kickstarter project i will donate money to finish rest of the episodes . !!
I don't normally watch others play video games but this is like a Movie. I am intrigued how much they expanded on the old maps, unreal !!
This is how it looked to me as a child in the 90's. Must've been my imagination because everything was definitely flat.
Eh. Prefer Black mesa over the other 2. Lambda was just too different but it just felt sort of, Eh. Original was basic, Black Mesa is Better. Just, "Feels" like Half Life but better.

DUKE NUKEM FOREVER!
Why is Gearbox not making something like this?
I don't think we'll ever see an official Duke Nukem again (excluding remasters), now everything depends on fan works like this one.
God damn it, AAA Industry! Where's *my* nostalgia remake?? They're remaking so much crap but they refuse to do Duke Nukem 3D.
is a violent game...
Like all the first person shooters.
Would you please consider doing a small video of the installation with the patches to get what we see here as I cannot get this running to save me. It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for the video of this old gem!
The thing is... I made this version of the game 1 year ago, and I don't remember exactly the steps I followed, it would be difficult to make a video and even less talking (I don't make videos talking at the moment). I will try to describe you what I remember. The first thing is that this is the GOG version, which comes with the expansion and the latest version (it should work fine on current PCs, that's how they sell it, but GOG are lazy and don't update their games in years). Then all I did was what it says in PCGamingWiki (link in the description), if I remember correctly was to install the patch and fix for widescreen, install dgVoodoo (very important, the game doesn't work without this), setting it to “Max” resolution and the game to 1280x720, this way the game runs at the resolution of your monitor (4K in my case) and the interface doesn't look too small. You can configure other options like MSAA and anisotropic filtering. Then of course the upscale texture pack. And in the game launcher you have to activate the widescreen and textures mods in “Customize”. Basically that was it, maybe I did some more steps that I don't remember (but it has to be in that page). Sorry for not being of more help.
@@DARTHVRNET , thank you for replying.
But nobody noticed the mix up of duke nukem, and time to kill levels have a little mix in?? As i did straight away
what settings did you have it at? for me the game lags hard
No special setting, this emulator barely has configure options to touch, only that I have not put a resolution higher than x3 because Xemu has very bad performance with high resolutions. On my powerful PC with an i9 13900K and RTX 4090, this emulator gives me performance problems in certain games, especially at resolutions of more than x2 or x3 (depending of the game, some can go to more). Something very important, if you have an nVidia graphics, disable “Multi-threaded Optimizations” in the nVidia Control Panel for this emulator.
Blood 1 has been unique and awesome. Blood 2 has been a category B product at the date of release. Not to mention it tried to be a competitor to Half Life 1 😂 Cool lighting, not bad levels in chapter 1, things getting boring in the mid of chapter 2. Completed chapter 3 and 4 with cheats as it was too boring. Thanks for sharing your play through with the audience!
Agree with what you say, especially that the levels get worse as you play. The game feels like it was made in a hurry. I once read that Monolith didn't even want to do it, it was GT Interactive's request, so they didn't make it with much desire to begin with. Considering this, it didn't turn out too bad, and I've certainly played much worse FPSs. I think the game isn't bad at all, even with its problems and unbalanced difficulty.
@@DARTHVRNET Yes, have read about it as well. Definitely in a hurry and not Monolith itself. I've been a fan of Monolith for years due to their experiments, unique design and gameplay. No need to mention their most popular projects, like "Fear" or "Aliens vs Predator" but also No One Lives Forever - Spy parody with RPG elements. Some plot decisions and situations still make me laugh. Tron 2.0 - might not have the best gameplay, but visual design is still unique. Especially episode 3, with levels corrupted by virus. Betrayer - a Black-white survival FPS at the era of Conquistadors.
@@stanstnstn My favorite Monolith game is the first No One Lives Forever, I love that game. I want to bring it to the channel someday. I also like Aliens vs Predator 2 and as you say Tron 2.0 especially for its visual design it impressed me a lot back in the day although as a game it's also solid. F.E.A.R. on the other hand I loved the gameplay, but visually (in the artistic aspect) I find it very bland, but great game in any case. By the way, Condemned, great game too.
This is awesome. Never played "Blood II: The Chosen". But, after watching this video with this upscale pack, I really want to now. I already have the game & this upscale pack. I just haven't set it up yet. I'll probably do that tonight. Thanks for the video.
I'm glad you like it :)
Blood 2 feels really underrated but hope we get a re-release like Blood Fresh Supply. Blood 2 needs a lot more help than anything
Yes, a proper remaster would be nice.
Grandisimo juego. Guardo buenos recuerdos de cuando lo jugué. Ese toque gore-visceral me molaba mucho. Te podias cargar a "to quisqui". 😂😂😂
I think it looks a bit 'meh', honestly. But I did see the comments between the video uploader and the mod creator talking about how the mod is not functioning exactly as it should in this video. Regardless, even if I don't like the visual aesthetic, I give a huge round of applause to the mod creator. Tons of work and passion went into creating this mod, that's for sure!
I hope someday we get to play a remake of both Blood games in Unreal Engine 5 with no bugs and new content.
My favourite before 1st Quake came out. I used to smash Hexen for hours and then came back to the Heretic. Loved Doom but was too square and all H games had better atmosphere.
😎😎😎💪💪💪👌👍
lmao, coom
Looks disgusting. I can see why they pulled the plug 😅
This is just beautiful, how can we support this? We should get traction to it, it's just a very lovely game
Love it!! After the (awesomely well done) Ludicrous Edition, this really scratches the itch for more ROTT. It's what I imagine a sequel would've been like, had we gotten a real one with slightly improved engine within a couple years of the original. We'll just pretend the 2013 ROTT doesn't exist...
"I'm gonna give you so many rights you're gonna beg for a left," would have been better as "I'm gonna give you more rights than the Constitution."
WOW, that's my first time seeing It. just WOW!!!
Man, fuck Randy Pitchford for doing nothing with Duke for the past decade.
all would be nice besides sprites ffs
Props for the effort to whomever made this, but I think there is nothing wrong with the original graphics. The graphical fidelity doesn't make a game better, the art direction does, and heretic has a great one.
"The worst thing is undoubtedly the music, extremely repetitive, besides, why does a fanfare have to sound every time we kill an enemy? Anyway, fortunately it can be disabled in the options menu." Then why did YOU not disable it in the options menu?! 😅 And this gameplay reminds me strikingly of Psygnosis' FPS game Bram Stoker's Dracula released the same year as ShadowCaster, even the same maddening fanfare sound every time you kill an enemy and the manually drawing items into your inventory, actually everything is so the same that I wonder if Psygnosis used ShadowCaster's engine? 🤔
I wanted to show the game as it is, that's why I don't turn off the music. About Bram Stoker's Dracula, I don't think it uses the same engine as ShadowCaster, which was derived from Wolfenstein 3D, and as far as I know it was only used once more, in In Pursuit of Greed.
@@DARTHVRNET Did you ever see Bram Stoker's Dracula's gameplay? Would you claim that everything being the same as ShadowCaster is a genuine coincidence? 😏
@@Maxime_Martyr I played it a lot time ago. Are you saying they stole the engine? I've seen a gameplay to refresh my memory, and I don't think so, the engine looks even more primitive than ShadowCaster. And it's still a raycasting type engine more like others of the time.
@@DARTHVRNET ShadowCaster too was a ray-tracing engine since it was basically Wolf3D engine. 😉 I am watching a gameplay to make sure as well and I am genuinely not sure because it does look like ShadowCaster. 🤔
In my personal experience the game lacks of good music. I played with "Dusk" soundtrack and is great. Otherwise is a 6-7 no more than that. Without music is pretty boring. Comparing this to quake is Blasphemy. This game REALLY lacks music. That could add up 3-4 more points. You're shooting things around YOU NEED HARD CORE MUSIC not this cementry sounds..
Well quake 1 had the same music .. so it could be comparable. However Quake 1 was made 30 years ago. It was absolutely mind blowing for that time. So IMO This would go better with better music because it gets repetitive.
I understand your point of view. Although for me, the music of this game is not bad, it is not very outstanding either, I think Andrew Hulshult has better works. Anyway, for me it's not the most important thing in the game, and even if it was bad, which it isn't, it doesn't ruin the gameplay for me.
Bro. Where can I buy this?????
Even better than bump mapping.
This... This is awesome!
