Winding Waters River Expeditions
Winding Waters River Expeditions
Winding Waters River Expeditions offer all-inclusive whitewater rafting and fly fishing trips on some of Oregon and Idaho's most exciting rivers. We lead guided tours down the Snake River through Hells Canyon, the Grande Ronde River and the Salmon River in Idaho.
Winding Waters River Expeditions is a family owned and operated whitewater rafting outfitter based in Joseph, Oregon. As a company started by river guides in 2004, we love what we do and know what it takes to provide a quality rafting experience. Our guests return year after year due to our commitment to quality, attention to detail, and our outstanding guide crew.

Great video. Thanks. It's going to save me a lot of $$. I float the Bitterroot 15 miles a week fishing shallow cobble as low as 200cfs this year where I am constantly digging. I go through the rope on my oars twice a year.
Best guides ever! We miss you and our amazing trip on the Salmon River this summer. (the Lynch family)
I loved my WWRE rafting trips in 2020 and 2022! Highly recommend this guys.
How do you remove the glue once the wrap gets worn out? I need to replace my current ones and am debating between pre wrapped or doing it myself. Thanks
Hi, I'm Robin aka the one in the orange hat in this video. The sprayed on glue layer shouldn't be applied super thick. When the old wrap was removed the old glue layer was very dry, and barely visible. So we didn't do anything to remove the previous layer, just reapplied/rewrapped.
But... the Salmon river isn't IN Oregon.
Thanks a lot. Just setting up a pond boat for oars and heard rope was the best idea but wasn't sure exactly what the guy meant. I got closed locks for now due to availability and might have to drill out a couple hockey pucks as stops. Lol
Thank you! - Excellent!
Thanks - very clear.
man what an awesome video! Snapped a rope last year on desolation and been putting this off ever since, you make it look so easy haha
Thank you for posting this!! Very helpful.
I just did this run a couple of days ago. I got butterflies from the video!
Great slide show! We have enjoyed some very fine vacations in some undeniably exotic locations, but words truly can not convey the Winding Waters Music for Wild Places experience to anyone who was not there. Many thanks to Winding Waters for making it exciting, fun, and relaxing, and to Elephant Revival for making it uniquely unforgettable.
Thank you Robert!
nice run buddy!
Liked it a lot!
Never know where these amazing girls will be next!
I'm in this video! Swimming at 1.30, faux "sleeping" on the jet boat ride back with Kai at 2.22 and a shot of the back of my head :) This was the best experience. I highly recommend a trip on the river with Winding Waters River Expeditions and Kai.
+Paul Wren Thanks for joining us on the Music For Wild Place Trip last year Paul. I think you won the furthest traveled award.
This was the most amazing trip ever. Thanks so much for the great experience.
Wonderful on all counts! What a beautiful song. The background and Ashley are simply beautiful.
Beautiful song, beautiful background.
AshleyWhen your soul sings, ours respond. Life's pages turn, it is not ours to question, yet beauty still exists. One day at a time is as fast as we can go. Be still, listen, relax. You are loved and have grate value!Much love,Peter
1:14 hahahaha rad
Love this song and you guys do it proud. But, yes there is a but... if you don't have an sound engineer handy... try to improve you knowledge of recording and mic placement... it's especially important outdoors with all the ambient noise. A sound check with headphones would have brought this to the front of the ambient noise and a much higher level. Check out some of the Burberry Acoustic artists on You Tube. Most are recorded outdoors but most likely by a trained ear and recording engineer. It's not that hard to get it right however. A good mic or three, a wind screen and proper mic(s)placement(s) Experimentation until your sound check sounds good in some good studio headphones. Keep up the good Ol' acoustic outdoors... Cheers
Love hearing the water flowing in the back ground. Well done.
excellent.....
Looooooooove it
Something greatly overlooked -and under-appreciated - in our epoch, is the fact that this was the way most people got their music way back when. Musicians who bring it back to this level should get a tip of the hat. Interestingly, the very modern KZread and the like are making it oddly attainable again.
Beautiful harmonies! And being a strings nut (courtesy of growing up with Loius Clark/Jeff Lynne and The Electric Light Orchestra and numerous movie scores) I love the cello as the Bass in a trio!
Love it! <3
Killer lyrics!
Luv it! And the sound of water.

Winding Waters are a great outfitter, and they were kind enough to pack a guitar (in dry bag) along for me - since I don't have my own carbon fiber model as seen here!!
