micktaylor49

Welcome to my youtube channel dedicated to the great Mick Taylor. Mick Taylor is probably most known for being the lead guitarist for the Rolling Stones from 1969 to 1974. However most people don't know what Taylor did after his time with the Stones. On this channel you will find videos that show Taylor's greatest guitar work. With The Rolling Stones, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Bob Dylan, Jack Bruce, Alvin Lee and his solo work. A lot of this stuff was never even released on album or DVD. Most video's were recorded with amature camera's a long time ago and are not always in good quality. But I'm sure you'll find that Mick Taylor's great guitar work will make up for that!

I will upload video's from time to time. Subscribe to this channel to receive a message when a new video is posted.

Enjoy!

I’m 58 years old and a huge mick Taylor fan as well as Jack who is definitely one of the best rock musicians of all time. How have I not heard this. It’s incredible. Did they put an album out? I have to get it if so..????

He looks very rested here.....in some of the photos while with the Stones he looks strung out with eyes like hadn't had a good nights sleep in weeks. Maybe it's the hair in the face and contrast of shadows in old photos.

Just imagine opting out of the Rolling Stones when they had just made three of the most iconic albums in rock-music history.

it's funny that The Stones will have Eric Clapton or Buddy Guy guest on one or two songs now and again... but that Mick Taylor, as good as both of them technically, and even better live, was IN THE BAND during their most important period... THIS GUITAR PLAYING you see right here was part of The Stones...

Sitting in a hotel room in Thailand 28/03/2024. I have a hangover and it is my birthday. I just took a few moments to truly listen to that. Utter class. Even the singing works but, Jesus, can that man play.

So, Mick Taylor wanted to get away from the drugs surrounding the Stones. By going off to work with Jack Bruce?…

He didn't stay long with Mr. Bruce... he briefly considered rejoining The Rolling Stones before the band finally confirmed ex-Faces guitarist Ronnie Wood as his replacement in early 1976.

For all the haters, Jagger and Richards ended up being the song-writers. Sure Jones founded the band and did phenomenal work but he drifted into his own mind/demise (bless his soul). Yeahhhh Keith got with his girl but she wasn’t happy with Brian and well it’s a fucking rock band for god sakes. They didn’t call it the swinging London scene for nothin, Jagger and Pallenberg hooked up , Keith and Faithful hooked up. Read the damn book.

I wonder if Taylor thought he was joining Cream Mk2. Thinking Jack will have to ring Ginger, despite the fact they don't get on and then I can be Eric and solo away for 8-9 minutes. Plus on the Goodbye album there was a touch of keyboard so I'll be good for that as well.
