Thats rough. She shouldnt have answered those questions...because she doesnt know enough about whats going on in the middle east, and she admits this, to really give an enlightened comment. However if she condemns the murder of innocents and knew both side were guilty of this then she might think harder on this conflict before answering.

So upside down, and in so many ways. Without checks against it, the free market quickly drives wealth inequality to unsustainable levels. Without laws such as the minimum wage, owners pay as little as they must to get production. The free market is amazingly effective, but has an end game that is bereft of concern for anything other than profit. Things like minimum wage are meant to make sure that if you work, you can sustain your life. But that is no longer the case. Why? Because of access to consumer credit, which, in turn, makes matters worse, because it artificially increases demand, which drivers up prices. That, in turn, makes the minimum wage even less effective at doing its job. Without consumers having insanely easy access to credit, this economy would collapse. The model is going to break. It wouldn't be that hard to make the case that it already has. Free market purists are, in fact, the biggest problem with the free market. It just isn't that f-ing simple. The end game of capitalism needs to be massaged so that it accounts fully for all of its participants.

Friedman was an absolutely brilliant man who spoke pure unadulterated common sense. If modernday governments acted in the way he advocated the world would be infinitely better off. But todays governments are totally corrupt who go down the globalist route for their own benefit. And to he'll with the people.

The government has no authority and lacks the wherewithal to successfully engage in welfare. That's why all the public programs to support people are in such shambles.

Idiotic point of view. Do you seriously think that seeing Arabs as “totally primitive savages” is reasonable from a foreign policy perspective? Of course it isn’t. This perspective only prevents constructive dialogue and potential negotiations with large swaths of Africa and the Middle East. The reason why Rand was in favour of Israel was because she herself was Jewish.

And subscribed to 15 different conveniences and yet you’re always looking for more . The Arabs knew the making money your god would destroy everyone .

If technology is so bad for moslems/arabs, then why do they come in masses to our modern, civilized world? And why are they slaughter each other, continously for decades and centuries?

The problem with stating "other countries" when it comes to poverty is there's bottom floor for each of those countries and they differ from each other. One country's poor is another's middle class and is another's wealthy. We need to address poverty in our country alone and stop comparing it elsewhere. Most people don't care that they are better off than 99% of people, when they can't afford groceries and rent where they live. That's becoming more common.

She claimed the same things about Native Americans, excusing the genocide of them on account of them being so-called "savages". Even Michel de Montaigne noticed centuries ago that civilized societies can be an order more savage than the so-called "savage" cultures. No wonder the Nazis were greatly inspired by the European colonization of the Americas or British colonization of India, which Hitler personally regarded as an ideal model to be followed.

Based on her words, Europeans and Americans are the monsters on this earth, because everyone who attacks people using violence and force is a monster (and they have attacked almost everyone, even each other, to this day, and they are still the most superior and undisputed in bloodshed), and the funny thing is that at the same time she is writing her novels An Arab won the Nobel Prize in Literature! All of her rejection of religion, which is Jewish in origin, fell aside when the Jew became a party to the equation! Best of all is how the barbarian was the one who received the fleeing Jews! The civilized person was the one who caused the escape
