  Great but my Apple Pencil (2nd generation) doesn’t work like that. I have to be extremely accurate with my entries (very straight lines, no gaps or mistakes, etc) or the entries are in error. Takes a lot of time. Wish my pencil worked like you’re.

  I have downloaded Smartscore and it seems that you can only upload PDF files, but I see that you upload images. Why is that? I don't know why I can't upload any files either pictures or PDFS. Please advise, thank you!

  for all the Mac M1/M2 people: you need to open Logic in Rosetta (cmd + I, click "open in Rosetta") to be able to still use ReWire.

  Thanks very much for your great video! I am using Taff Pad for iPad and I have a question: how can you manage as an example 4 16th notes on Voice one and on voice to at the same time and the same note an 8th note, so that both heads of the notes are overlapping and not next to each other? I am writing mostly piano scores where voices are often overlapping. Thanks very much!

  I have a problem. When I append the scores in Sibelius, the name for the next score, is taken over by the name of the first score that has the other scores appended to it. Is this meant to happen here? Is there someway around this without having to go and re-type each title in without while hiding the wildcard name for each new piece,. for the new added piece of music? Thanks if you have any suggestions.

  I would like both Pro Tools and Sibelius to develop an articulation management system that would be seamless in both applications. This could be the next step from copying and pasting midi between both platforms. If this happens, I dream of having one comprehensive music environment that would truly be the industry standard.

  Thank you Philip and Sam for a great interview! Another post to express my hope that DAWProject (which I was pleased to hear in this interview that Avid are aware of) - which is a MIDI/Audio format - will be improved as soon as possible to optionally include notation information - initially MusicXML - and eventually also provide support for MNX. I am not an expert but I sense that this is a key moment - notation people need to speak up or otherwise we will enter a new era in which notation is again a second class citizen - with audio and MIDI being first class citizens. Well done Avid for providing interoperability features which I imagine will eventually be implemented by multiple companies. I hope that this copying and pasting - as Philip mentioned - can also include MusicXML. Thank you for making it open - if companies cooperate I don't see why it cannot cause everyone's boats to rise.

  How about Cubasis for PC? I have been using Cubase for about a year every 8 years since the 1st Versions on Atari ST520 - no Dongle needed. I'm just a dumbass Drummer who wants to layout some Beats and make some basic Song Guides for the Band. Here is the problem - Every time I come back to Cubase it gets harder and harder to use even Light or LE versions. And the last time I spent 2 hours just getting it to connect through my PC Speakers. So for people like me can you offer Cubasis PC without bells n whistles n multi-plug-ins or possible upgrades to Pro facilities? Load n Play!! Thanks Greg

  Hello! Any wise tips for a long time Sibelius user trying to learn Dorico that struggles with the user interface of it and finds even differences of basic note entry quite stress inducing?

  Start very small and get used to one thing at a time. Take notes on a notebook about what you are struggling about, get back the next day and see what you remember and what not. The learning curve is indeed quite steep, so don’t feel put down by it. The public forum is full of helpful people, but I suggest you try yourself first, maybe look in the manual (which is greatly indexed on the web) and, again, start small. One short piece for one instrument. Then build up from there! Good luck!
