    Since there is no Filter ADSR ENVELOPE ON THIS ONE SO IS THERE A POSSIBILITY TO ASSIGN A CUT OFF TO MOD ENVELOPE AND USE IT AS A FILTER ADSR...

  • @GEOSynths
    @GEOSynths3 күн бұрын

    @@cnovasalmanhussain751 There is a Mod Envelope for the Filter, it uses ADR, sustain is just a level on most Synths, not time based, so it’s not included. The Mod Envelope can be inverted and be set to velocity sensitive, as so for the Amp Envelope.

    Hi, the VCA gain produces a hold note, is it right? Or a deffect? Mine just got here and I am in doubt. Thanks.

  • @GEOSynths
    @GEOSynths18 күн бұрын

    @@Zemael That’s normal, if you think about it, VCA hold is keeping the Amp open continuously and you’ll still be able to change notes, but the envelope won’t have any effect. So, to have it play and turn off when you release a key, you need to use the envelope and the envelope amount/eg amount.

    Hi! I'm a long time subscriber and enjoyer of your videos. I'm considering buying a system 8. Couple questions for you: 1. Do you find that the plasticy kebed makes you want to use it less? 2. Do you feel like it has a certain artificial sounding, roland-y, dullness to the sound? I notice when I compare it to demos of instruments like the polybrute or even the novation peak they seem like they have more bite and presence than the system 8. Is that your experience too? Thanks in advance for your thoughts here

  • @GEOSynths
    @GEOSynths28 күн бұрын

    I no longer have mine, only so much room for Synths. Anyway, yes it has a light keyboard, not as bad as some of the lower cost Korg keybeds, but it’s Synth Action, which never really bothered me. Roland does have a sound yes and quite a lot of the perceived dullness is actually down the Chorus effect as there’s no control over the low and top end of the Chorus. That said, the FMengine on there has been one of the best I’ve used, was very quick and simple to use. You get a lot for your money I think.

    They're all good, though some have a wider range of Sounds they can produce. Prophet 6 is a great all rounder, so maybe take a look at that. @@GEOSynths Hi, I am just about to buy one of these. I have just learned that the way it divides up multitimbrality is it allocates 4 voices to layer 1 and the other 4 to layer 2. Is that right? I had hoped much like my 198* TX81Z I could choose the amount of voices. IE I would have had a lead sound monophonic and the other 7 for a pad sound. As I was saying above these things are a lot of money. If it was truly Bi trmbral then it basically halves the total. However 4 and 4 voices is not much use to me. I need at least 6 for pads.
