Hello doctor, earlier i had undergone Lasik for my eyes 16 years back..now i have matured cataract in one eye the other one is fine..can i choose for panoptix trifocal IOL now? many doctors advised that since lasik was done earlier i cannot go for trifocal and the only choice i have now is monofocal..plz help me take the right decision im lot confused , iam 40 years old male i hate to wear glasses.

So, does that mean if a patient has, for instance, astigmatism, that this condition will have to be treated after the lens implant has been done?
Hi, thanks for your interest in the light adjustable lens. What this means is there are now two opportunities to address astigmatism -- at the time of surgery AND after the fact. Sometimes you can't predict exactly how much astigmatism will be present once an eye has healed, so this gives you a second and minimally-invasive option to correct astigmatism with a light in the office.
