Great video, hoping these how to fix it videos keep coming, very useful
We had a 10/60 model. It was a 1967 model. It did not release the hydraulic pressure on the clutch, but it had a strong PTO shaft and a brake adjustment that was not stable. You adjust the brakes and the next day they would not hold the brakes evenly again.
Hola como estas, por lo que veo es un motor muy bueno justo estoy por comprar un morris con bmc 4 y entre a KZread a ver que opinión me da
Where do you get the 2 washers from?
www.tractorspareparts.co.uk/leyland_tractor_parts/12h220-washercorrugatedatomizerseal/ www.tractorspareparts.co.uk/leyland_tractor_parts/12h219-washer-heat-shield/
@@TractorSparePartsLtd thanks mate ordered :)
Very interesting, however, how do adjust the gap if it out of spec?
That one is putting out a lot more than one hundred horsepower
Can you show the box filter perhaps? I have no pressure and feat I have to take it all out. Lost pressure instantly.
Good job
Happy Soul in Buteful countrysidE 😅
Fam where can I find a 384 Leyland engine ?
Would you be able to advise / carry out repairs on a m4 that doesn’t govern?
My 342 has depth control added.
Use guide studs..simple!
just tripped over this. I used to work on these and have to say you made it look like hard work! If you get 2 long bolts of the same thread. then cut the heads off and grind a taper on them, they make 2 guide bolts which you fit around half way up. Then put the PTO in gear and turn the output shaft to line it up. The back end will then just slide on the guide studs you made. If you take the top cover off, you can even lift the back end on and of your own on site/a feild if you have to. (Althoiugh I was much younger then!)
Thanks from texas
What are those two leavers on the side for they don’t appear to do anything on my universal four also where do I take hydraulic fluid from for implements and the front end loader and where do I return it, there are bungs but I want to make sure I’ve got it correct
Are these tractor spare parts tractors or customers ? Good video.
Last job grease it...
Can anyone tell me about the 2100 square cab that came out in the early 1908's i have a picture but i cannot upload for some reason.
This video covers the 2100 to a certain extent. If you want to email me a picture to [email protected] I will take a look and let you know what cab you have.
All you need is a Leyland Boxer to attach it too haha
I have got a4stroke Nuffield I have tried. To time it's not picking
Good work
Not even breaking a sweat💪💪
Rare!!!
Thank you, very helpful..at least I know how it should be done. Mine is difficult to start. Does the use of calor gas help?
T Y, I finally got a large torch onto the housing. Lo and behold the o ring was still in (very crushed) and considering an o ring came off when I took the housing apart, I'm surprised the engine room wasn't full of oil.
We see it all the time where there is an extra O-ring in the housing. Thankfully it is a cheap and easy solution 🙂
Excellent video showing the different oil filters and housings that can be fitted, my Universal Four has a Vokes filter housing and tractor spare parts Ltd was the only place I could get a new filter element from, thanks guys.
The steering gear rotates opposite the wheels wy!?
The pipes are crossed on the valve
How is the steering wheel gears adjusted?
There is a locking nut on the side of the casing. It has a screwdriver flat.
In about 6 months time I'm going to be in the market for a 285 or a 2100... My friend can you please give me a ball park figure as to how much a restored Very clean version of each would cost.. Roughly.. Thank you very much..
Hi do you have fuel injectors for Leyland 384
It should be these injectors but it is worth checking the numbers on your injectors to make sure that you have what you should expect www.tractorspareparts.co.uk/nuffield_tractor_parts/bmk645-bmcinjector/
In the video he talks about the two seals, a rubber one and a felt one.. The felt one he says the incorrect part number. He says 7H1785, but I think he actually means 7H1758. Hope that helps someone 😁
You are probably correct. Fabulous engineer and knows everything about Nuffield and Leyland tractors, but not so good on numbers and spelling!
@@TractorSparePartsLtd now I have a Leyland 154 gas. And I installed a new oil filter with sealing ring and It started leaking oil around the sealing ring and I noticed it blew the sealing ring out enough to start leaking. There must be a lot of pressure in there? Or did I install the sealing ring wrong. I feel like that sealing ring needs to be a little wider. Am I doing something wrong?
Very thorough and well presented.
Some of the blue Leylands were shipped to Finland with Sekura cabs aswell.
The Sekura cabs are also used on the David Brown 90- series and Case 94-series, i have a 1985 Case 1294 and i love how comfortable the cab is and sturdy built! It's very warm and comfy during winters it's like sitting in the sofa near the fireplace while listening to the radio 😄
Sounds lovely ticking over like Swiss watch...... we had two of these back in the day.... 954/854... look after it...👍🏼🇬🇧🚜
Brilliant tractor……
Agreed
Yeah that was helpful, good video
Nice video. I was little confused with these filter option with my own Nuffield project. This video helped a lot.
We are glad that this has been helpful. We see so many of these filter canisters with no internal components.
Fine video ..Thanks for SHARING.. 🚜😊I have a work kollega here in norway ..he have a nuffield but he dont Know the model .. and I have not seen it yet . He say it run on gas/benzin and diesel . Do you Know the name off that model ?? And do you Know if it has cylinder slives so Later I can shift cylinder slives and make it Running again ?? And by the way you have now a new subscriber as well ... I rebuild a massey ferguson 65 reighte now .. my Channel is MF65 .. Thanks a lot in advanse . Michell . Norway 🚜😊👍🏻
We think it will be a Nuffield M4, which is a petrol paraffin model. Is there is any chance of a picture then we can help you. I assume you mean the engine block cylinder liners. A picture would be great and then once we know the model then we can send you a page from the parts book to help you. If you prefer you can email [email protected]
My 342 has a Vokes filter. Hard to find good filters not the cheap ones they do not last long.
These are the Vokes filters we offer. We put them on tractors in our workshop and our own tractors and have no problems with them. www.tractorspareparts.co.uk/filters/17h1784-nuffieldoilfiltervokes/
I have a weirdish contraption, she's a 384 with a q cab. Not probably unheard of but confused me until I learned the difference.
Yes that would confuse. It is always a great way to start a conversation just to make sure, exactly for times like this when you get something unusual.
Is that factory? Surely not will have been fitted later. The 384 was essentially a nuffield 465, we had a 384 with a sekura round bar cab, the 465 has a duncan. The both had the nuffield wings.
Real helpful thanks
Where did you buy this starter?
www.tractorspareparts.co.uk/nuffield_tractor_parts/btj3300-startermotor/
Good evening, I have a Leyland 462 and the hydraulics do not work, the filter shown in the video, the filter shown has been removed, what could be the cause? thanks!
Hi, Just a quick question, I have a Leyland 344 with a leak at the PTO shaft. Will the shaft pull out from the back end without anything dropping down inside???
As long as you leave the PTO in drive then you should be able to remove the PTO shaft from the back.
@@TractorSparePartsLtd Many Thanks, all sorted, great videos 📹 👍
Perfect sound
i love thi tractor 4/60 nuffield but it has one big issue with the gear box .if you change the gear from Reverse to 1 gear if you put it on bit incorrect the gearbox is locked down.
Bonjour de Wallonie, as I am using a nuffield 3/45 since 1970,i have a lot of interest in your video, although the technical language you use has nothing to do with the BBC accent I learned. Thank you for your good videos
Yes very helpful. I’ve just got a Nuffield 154, just reconed the injectors but it’s still not firing rite and putting out loads of white smoke. I’ll just go and check that. Thanks mate
