    Tried it on our 7acre lake with beach where the Canada Geese are the problem. They chewed through the string with their serrated mandible cartilage of their bills. Next I used vinyl coated wire. They tried to gnaw through that but couldn’t. Worked for 2 yrs. 3rd year they started either ducking under it, or bunny hopping over it. 4th yr they could care less about it. They won.

    Ratchet straps will fray and weather/rot, especially with just fastened with a screw, you need a big washer on there. Best solution is 3/4” stainless steel strapping, then use two #10 1-1/2” self tapping stainless steel screws to secure it. And you want the screws in the side of the joist, not bottom (as you’ve done with the ratchet straps) so they are holding with shear instead of tension to resist pulling out over time as the wood softens from moisture Even better is running the strapping over top the joist then securing, this way the top of the joist is taking most of the force and the screw is just holding everything in place. Just need to pull the deck boards at each mounting point to do this, then screw the board back down and the strapping is hidden

    For many years I have used the wired Strada Cadence CC-RD200 with the sensor installed on the rear wheel because I use the bike with the trainer. I recently bought the Strada wireless CC-RD310W, the problem is that I only use the bike with the trainer, and according to the instruction the sensor should be installed on the front wheel. It is useless to me because with the trainer only the rear wheel moves. Any tips, can the sensor be installed on the rear wheel and still work properly?

    Just did it from underneath on passenger side. Looked from below and at bumper height, estimated where the light was, found light socket, vertical about 1.5 inches high, gave it a quarter turn counterclockwise and pulled out. Replaced bulb without touching glass using tissue, doesn't leave body oil on bulb, reinsert socket with quarter turn clockwise. Tested, all good. No tools needed. Just a few minutes. Got a 4157NA bulb from Autozone. Video is helpful for the headlight, side marker light and to drain any water from assy.

    A paper or card disc insert between grinding disc & mounting flange reduces the risk of uneven pressure on disc, so less chance of shattering.

    Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I kzread.infoUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

    You might ruin your slide that way. Now not enough of the movement from the inside of the rest of the rig might knock the slide totally out of it's track. It's not made to be supported. They need to move with the rest of the movement from wind on the outside and foot traffic on the inside.

  • @capercamper
    @capercamper11 ай бұрын

    In this case, the slide was completely off the track. The wall/slide has seen water damage over the years, putting it back on the track wasn't something I felt would work. I would never recommend this in a newer trailer for the reasons you said, but for me this works and gets me back into the trailer.

    This is my third iteration of the Garmin Edge range. kzread.infoUgkxXZCtB-wGdHVTBSz8RswePK5vllHNi06N Clearly they have refined and improved the experience offered over the years. Unsurprisingly it gives all the usual features (speed, time, distance, etc). Additions such as power meter and heart rate monitor allow for additional metrics, all of which can be displayed on customised screens. The features that are most useful for me are ClimbPro, which details climbs on routes (very helpful when you haven't ridden them before), the mapping and the scores provided on training effect. All in this is an excellent piece of equipment. The battery life is strong. I've never had it crash/freeze. Integration with Garmin Connect/Strava works well and the live track has proven useful (my brother now knows when to put coffee or dinner on because he can see how close I am to home).
