    Hello, The two products our tech is displaying in this video are both Hardwired, no encryption required. Other Panels and Wireless sensors have the capability of using encrypted wireless sensors, and will vary between the panel and sensor being used, Check for panel and sensor compatibility prior to any purchase. Most Intrusion Sensors installed have the ability to be bypassed from the control panel being used prior to arming the system.

    Does the Qolsys panel automatically reset the smoke detector after the alarm has been silenced/turned off? I was able to enroll them just fine, but after I set them off, the panel wouldn’t clear the alarm. Thoughts?

  • @DKAlarmgridSupport
    @DKAlarmgridSupport6 күн бұрын

    Hello, If the smokes are wired into the 16F first prior to enrollment into the IQ panel, there is usually no issues with Triggering the Smoke alarm and restoring properly. If the smokes were added after the 16F was enrolled into the IQ panel undesired results can occur. Not triggering / restoring properly. It is best to remove the 16F from the IQ panel programming, then with everything still attached, re-enroll the 16F and configure the smoke zone again.

  • @johnnada3377
    @johnnada337745 минут бұрын

    @@DKAlarmgridSupport Thanks. Have one more question… The smoke detectors in question are actually high voltage smoke detectors that have a low voltage 2 wire relay attached to them. Will they work on the 16F? They worked fine on the previous system which was a vista 20p.

    Hi, Another troubleshooting step is to physically remove power after defaulting. Have you attempted to remove power for about 2 to 3 minutes then re-power the Camera? Usually holding the reset button until the LED goes white will allow for a default, try holding the button a little bit longer and see if that will help with the default process.

    Good advice, BUT if you have a Slomin system, with that thin "mini"sensor, some of them don't have any slot to get a screwdriver into. Gently pry the cover off, from the bottom. After you replace the battery ( a 2032, + side out) replace the cover . IMPORTANT ! After you snap the cover back on, you have to press DOWN on the top of the cover and it will go down maybe 1/32". If you don't do this you will never get rid of tamper. By "down" I mean towards the floor. Then you have to cycle through "arm/disarm twice. I fooled around with it for an hour, then for some reason I pressed down on the top of the cover and heard a small snap. Then I cancelled the service call. Oh, PS, make sure your extended service plan is up to date.

  • @DKAlarmgridSupport
    @DKAlarmgridSupport28 күн бұрын

    @scola1951, Correct, most mini contacts need to be snapped and/or locked back in place depending on the manufacturer. Some slide to unlock and lock the top cover, some have tabs to use a flat head screwdriver to lift a corner or side, then be snapped back into place. B aware of which type of sensor you have when attempting to open to replace the battery, as improperly opening the top cover can damage the cover or tamper on the sensor causing the tamper to stay indefinitely open.

    How would you make a rule for when the system is tripped for a burglar alarm, for it to make the lights go on and off during the alarm going off?

  • @DKAlarmgridSupport
    @DKAlarmgridSupport29 күн бұрын

    Hi @fasttrackstormtracker, 1. Ensure your Zwave lights are enrolled properly. 2. Create scenes "Light on And Light off" in the "Scenes section of automation, 3. Create a rule for the Zwave switch to come on when an alarm condition occurs, and link the "Light on " Scene., 4. Create a rule for the Switch to stop using the "Light Off" scene to follow either bell time out or Disarm.
