IMO those were the best looking Taurus. Nice console. The S or service car had some upgrades that made it an overall better car. The regular cars had issues... the 3.5 is to be avoided unless you can afford to replace the coolant every 3 years with the CORRECT coolant. The one size fits all coolants had a tendency to eat that INTERNAL water pump seal and if no one noticed the leak.. usually up near the AC compressor.. you bought an engine instead of a $12-1500 water pump replacement. The fuel pump driver's were prone to failure and there was a recall on several years. The nice thing is the FPDM was external and wasn't too difficult to change. So I wouldn't want to own one unless it was a later model turbo model and then I'd be holding my breath on a lot of things just like a lot of other makes and models. They were a nice rental. That much can be said.

Just make sure you get the one with the 2.0L engine because the 1.6L engine is too weak, especially when you turn on the AC.
I dont like the tan interior for cars but this one is exceptional. It looks luxurious!

I have this car, everything is great. If anyone wants to purchase this car, just know: it’s not the best at going up hills, it slips gears sometimes. Also, when running the AC, the fan get loud. Other than that, it’s a very nice vehicle.

I enjoy these features and specs, better than mine (which is the exact same Van, color, make, and model) I don't have electronic seats in drivers' side or passengers.... I also don't have the captain chairs; I have the mid seat all together banquette seat in the middle.

You didn't notice that covering the spare is a speaker (it's wired) that actually is a noise suppression system of outside noises. It looks like a downward facing woofer and supposedly there is a microphone in the car that is always listening and the speaker compensates for those noises. It's kind of wild. I have an Encore Preferred 2021 and I have this as well. Mine is AWD and I average 23 to 27 MPG. AWD is always on.

i just purchased this make and model 1 week ago... Only this model does not have the captain seats, more like the 3-quarter full seat and it also has no spare tire....I did not see the spare tire in this video, but the 1,2, 3 step pull tabs on the seats can be tricky, but you handled it well...
