Picked up a 2010 460 AWD SWB and may i say this car has surpassed my expectiations of what a car should be, Its a massive upgrade from my 08 civic, but the car rides like a dream on air suspension, its got power for DAYS, and its so subtle in todays traffic, normal people just see a lexus or a honda accord (The tailights were later stolen for the accord) and enthusiasts know the car, gas is quite expensive, but im getting around 10L/100km with a very heavy right foot, so the 85L tank gives me around 700 km of range give or take, and for the price of a used 10th generation Honda Civic, it surely gives that "Bougie" or "Luxury" vibe that people are looking for, and its a lexus/toyota for god sakes, these things will not die if you put rocks in the oil fill cap (Please dont do this, this is a big exaggeration) TL:DR New Lexus, Amazing car, Changed my life, Buy one, you wont regret it

You got this video a bit wrong. I've owned 2 f450's, a couple 350's, a GMC Topkick, and an LBZ Sierra. What these ALL have in common that the XD diesel doesn't is capacity. That Nissan is an upgraded half-ton. That limits it's capabilities. The XD Cummins tows 15.5k on a 5th/gooseneck and 11k on the bumper. That's at the bottom of a 3/4 or 1 ton. My 5th wheel is 14k lbs. With all my stuff in it, it'd be maxed out before my fat butt got inside. With a 3/4 or bigger, I'm at the bottom of the tow capacity for even the smaller gas engine. To get that tow rate from a half-ton, they have to shift harder and ride harder. They have a smaller frame, smaller axles, and much less cooling. Also why that 5.0 v8 Cummins was notorious for overheating under load. So no, it's not from being a overly capable 1/2 ton that's rougher to drive. It's because they tried to carve a niche market that couldn't sustain itself. It was the same price as a nicely loaded 3/4 ton and that 3/4 ton was built for the rough and tumble. It wasn't a half-ton wearing a muscle suit.

Nice video Joe! I was in the market for a new race car hauler, and ruled out trucks ($$$$$) and vans (need a 2500; also $$$$.) My one exception to your advice is that I prefer to find low mileage cream puffs, which can require patience and timing. I pounced on a 2020 SV with 44k for $26.5k, but had to drive about 3 hours out of state to nab her. A pain, but worth it!

Been a fan since your G35 video: 17 years later, still have that mostly fully loaded, stock, '06 coupe [no nav system which is a plus] and I work in a Multi-millionaire, gated community. In those times I drove there in that, opposed to my work truck, not a single eyeroll - except when they asked how old it was and their eyes just widen in amazement. Anyway, to the point, when I bought the G, I was also looking at a Cayman S but is was 10K over what I could spend without completely wiping out my bank balance. Us military people can save money when on deployment. And survive. :)

I am Japanese. This SC430 is an early model of the Lexus brand and has been made with great care. It was priced at $80,000 at the time, has a V8 engine, and a sturdy chassis, so as long as you maintain it properly, it's a car you can drive for another 20 years. In Japan, enthusiasts are buying it back, and the price has gone up since then. Please take good care of it.

We have a 2020 SV that we bought new. It is a fantastic vehicle, fun to drive and relaxing to ride in. Yes, the gas mileage sucks however as my Grandaddy used to say "It'll pull the lips off a chicken for sure" I'm translating that to mean it has great power when you need it and a rock solid ride to boot! Also, we have had zero mechanical issues with 65,000 miles so far.

Here in 2024... my 2008 XC90 V8 Sport has 224k miles on it, still runs/drives beautifully, is strong & super smooth. Oh, and she gets ~22 MPG on the highway & ~16 in city driving. Volvo underrated the MPG on the V8 version of this car. Dunno why, but they did according to my results - even after well over 200,000 miles.
