  Honestly if they weren't lazy the entire game could have been played in that isometric view. It's so cringy to see it pop in and out of it. And honestly adds 0 to the game.

  I have the C64 version on Wii. IK and IK+. Also have the arcade version of karate champ on switch. Great games.

  Looks like the Assault Cannon rules haven't been properly implemented on the Amiga version. In the original board game you would roll dice for the AC before nominating a target - then nominate target(s) to distribute your attack points in any way you wished. So if for example you were facing off against a Dreadnought and a bunch of Gretchen - and you rolled a 4 missing the Dreadnought - you could still take out the Gretchen (assuming there were 4 or less of them) and not waste your dice roll. It looks like the Amiga version forces you to pick a target for the AC - and if you miss, your whole roll is wasted The PC version gets around this by allowing the marine player to target an unoccupied square with the AC so that you can see your dice roll before deciding what you are going to do with it

  Oh man, I remember playing this game as a kid with English being a second language, and not really knowing what I was doing and just kept dying. But I loved the graphics, music, and setting, so I'm glad to see it properly played! It took me a while to even figure out what the game was called when I tried to search for it online.

  Mission 1, dont go into the room at the bottom with the dreadnought is in, until you have the door controls, scan the area, and be on the left so the dreadnought moves left, and bang squish the doors when the dreadnought is there!

  Is it worth trying to license this and reboot it for modern computers. 20+ years ago I heard someone approach Archer Mclean for a deal to license the game for a SNES conversion. He agreed to this for a fee of £25k but the deal didn't get past that. I don't know if it would be feasible to try and negotiate for the rights with his estate or what the price would be today. But say if it was £5k for the rights do those on here who loved the game then think it's worth trying to set up a kickstarter to make that happen. Is there a demand to pay for the reboot? I'm semi-serious but also just gauging interest generally. I would do the development myself and target Android, iOS, Win10 and MacOS.

  Was just thinking the RNG in this game is such BS but then the whole Chaos Marine squad melee-suicides itself into your commander and all is well haha Man I don't remember there being Necrons in this game. It's been a while :p

  no Necrons, unfortunately. but Chaos Androids, creations of the Dark Mechanicus, Daemons Engines in the shape of a perversion of the human form and metal, heartless, always aiming to slay any for their dark masters.

  I love how those made the game probably got a memo from GW saying " there is different enemies, Necron, Chaos and Orks and Genestealers . They look something like this.." And then they all apparently came very good along aboard that hulk, all fighting the evil corpse emperors finest as they crashed the party 😂
