This Herbie is an odd man out. The blue stripe is not screen accurate to the movie that was released in 1969. The running boards are black. Not the L87 white to match the color of the car in '69. This has to be a modified movie version used for stunt shows in California, sometime in 1970 or early 1971. The front right fender is damaged, which makes me think this was a last minute decision to have Herbie at this event. A grand opening and you don't send your best Herbie?! 🤨

Hoje em dia várias coisas como roupas, carros, até hardware de computador, tudo caminha para somente as cores preto, branco e tons de cinza. Uma da boas lembranças que tenho da minha infância ou adolescência nos anos 90 é esse filme do Dick Tracy, achava incrível a diversidade de cores, vários chapéus e sobretudos coloridos hehehe.

I always thought that Lorene Yarnell was wasted on the whole mime fad…Such a brilliant dancer, the mime thing got old really quickly, and unlike Shields, she had much more going for her talent than just mime. Waste of time for her considering what she was capable of doing. Rest In Peace Lorene Yarnell - perhaps her career being stifled by Shields’ narrow vision was the thing that broke them up - who knows?

I love this whole screensaver view of Disney’s magic kingdom in the center of the park where we get a glimpse of the Cinderella castle in front of us when we walk right in it’s so breathtaking and groundbreaking

I think the music has several meanings. It's a love song, about a woman in love with a man playing hard, but confident he will also fall in love. Tess looks sad because Tracy is too busy. 1:43 It's also related to the hope Dick Tracy will catch Big Boy: "I am going to get him. It's just a question of when." 1:00 Besides, though the events have lots of action and are positive in the point of view of the hero, the song sounds a sad, contrasting "Back in Business".
